Nomad Cafe and Eatery

Not much to say other than Nomad delivers on every metric. Quick food service, nice staff and the food was great. They actually have a decent amount of seating so there’s no need to find a park bench down the street to eat like a goblin. The breakfast platter was great and the sandwich selection left little to be desired.

I always drive by this cafe and finally decided to give it a try after my run! Lots of people in and out, friendly staff, and loved what I ordered. I tried one of their signature lattes, CinCity, and the Cheddar Smashbrowns!🤤 Can’t wait to go back and try some other things from the menu that looked good!

Worst matcha I’ve ever had, their matcha tastes and or smells like fish and is $7-$8. That being said, the food is good and the atmosphere nice. WiFi is good and if the cashier is in a good mood you’ll have a good experience.

The owner makes the most delicious food. The staff are warm and friendly and they make the best coffee in the area.

Love the ambiance, food amazing and the coffee we tried was gotnuts? And rose cardamom latte which were GREAT.

Nice cafè around the neighborhood. They have specialty lattes and I really enjoyed it and also had the savory crepe which was good as well. It’s a nice spot if you just want to chill, have a coffee and have some pastries or a small bite.

Best café in Ridgewood. The sandwiches are fantastic as well as their smash browns. Really good lattes too. Eat here about once a week.

Love this coffee shop! Plenty space, good chai latte and coffee. There was good wifi to do sone remote work. And the space had chill enjoyable music and peaceful vibes. Will come back!

We always stroll by Nomad, and today, we went in. Glad we did, too. I never actually realized that they had a whole area to sit down. The baristas were friendly, the space is cute, and I really liked the iced coconut cream latte that I ordered. I'll try food next time.

Great spot if you want FOOD FOOD, with your coffee shop. They have great options to fill your belly + WiFi to work if you'd like to stay.

I came in here for the first time right meet with a friend who lives close in the neighborhood and immediately loved the cozy atmosphere! I ordered The Launchpad sandwich, and honestly, I've never had ciabatta this good before. This was the perfect sandwich on an empty stomach. The salad had the right amount of dressing too. The Iced Raspberry Hibiscus Tea was also really good. I had a sip of my friend's and then went to the counter to order one for myself! The staff there are super friendly too. I really liked the large space inside but they also had outdoor seating. Seems like a nice study spot or a place to WFH. There's a cute community board where people post events and opportunities, right by a travel bookshelf to for any nomadic planning! Super lovely place and plan on coming back.

This is a cute little coffee shop that I came across as I was walking in the neighborhood. Their exterior and interior were what attracted me plus I wanted something to drink. I ordered ice chai and a bagel with cream cheese. With these items , it came up to $12 something. It seems to be expensive to me but it's okay. I rarely come by this neighborhood. Their service was great. They seemed to be patient and attentive to their customers and their staffs. This place gave me a vintage/ hipster vibe. I love it!

I am in the area very often, and always stop by Nomad to get coffee and breakfast. The barista Nicole is always so sweet and kind to me and my friends and seriously makes coming all the better. They recently added gelato and sorbet to their menus and it is so insanely good. It's super well priced and all homemade. I've gotten it a couple times and tried a lot of their more artisanal flavors. But for the summer weather, it's going to be my go-to for a sweet treat (:

Really good coffee. Their iced latte is my go-to. They also have several speciality lattes. The service is always quick and friendly, even on the weekend when they are packed. Clean bathroom, too! I haven't tried their breakfast food items yet, but look forward to trying their food, too.

Happened upon this coffee shop walking around the neighborhood. Pleasantly clean and friendly staff. Didn't get a chance to take pictures. Ordered an oat milk latte and oatmeal raisin cookie to go. The cookie is nice and chewie the way I like it. I also ordered an almond croissant. I have been in search of the best one in the neighborhood and so far have only found one place. I'm hoping theirs is good too. I'll find out in the morning and update rating if needed. Otherwise I'd certainly go back.

I love when I get to grab lunch, all by myself, at places like Nomad Cafe and Eatery. It's like a mental and physical break where I can just get some me time. This cafe was the perfect spot for some reflection time. As soon as I walked in, it felt immediately cozy. Super excited to grab lunch, I browsed the sandwich menu located at the counter and decided on the Caprese sandwich as it sounded light and somewhat refreshing. Another sign at the counter said something along the lines of, "Ask what the soup of the day is"... So of course I asked! It just so happen to be tomato soup and I thought it would pair perfectly with my sandwich. After ordering both, I took a seat at the high top table where I could look out the window at the gloomy day, which wasn't looking to let up any time soon. My sandwich and tomato soup were brought out to me and it looked absolutely gorgeous. The first thing I noticed was the bread. The baguette was both crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I believe they used beefsteak tomatoes, which is always a win in my book. They are tastier than any regular tomatoes. The balsamic dressing that was on the sandwich was delicious and there was just the right amount. Now for the tomato soup. It was OUTSTANDING. It was not so much a soup, more of a bisque, but there were bites of tomatoes and onions which I also loved. And the cheese, it wasn't too cheesy where it overpowered the tomato, there was just enough for flavor. Major kudos to the chef in the back. Rain or shine Nomad Cafe and Eatery is a great spot to check out!

The place is nice because it is a corner spot and have an outdoor option. Their drinks and food are good too. But they need to pay more attention on their staff. Because they do not want you to come only for drinks. They want customers only for dine in. They even relocate you from your table to a stand in chairs. As a European, I found it extremely rude. Because we have all the cafe cultures, maybe one day you come for drinks and then the next time for dining. Plus I have seen many tables were available inside, but the waitress especially wanted me to sit at the window seat. I hope they take it as a feedback!

This place is a super cute find in Ridgewood ! I ordered the traveler, the presentation was beautiful and it tasted really great. This is a great spot to grab some coffee and brunch. They offer indoor and outdoor dining options. And Yes the flower is edible!

What a perfect little coffee shop! The staff was incredible with accommodating us from menu questions to bussing our table. I appreciated the clean bathroom, too. Not sure if this place was around when I was living here but I would have made this my go-to spot!

The sandwiches are so good and tasty. The avocado toast was delicious but could be a little less spicy. The coffee varieties are great with my favorite being the Coconut crème latte hot or cold. Great customer service!

This is my first time in Nomad Cafe, I loved the food, the offer quality ingredients, the bread is organic and the fruits are fresh. The waitress was nice and the place is cozy and vibrant. I'll definitely come back. :)

Great service!! We barged in hungry as they opened after an overnight flight. The staff was attentive and everything was GREAT!! We'll be back

I had the eggscape from New York and a chai, which were both delicious. the eggs were great and so was the fruit and the toast. The potatoes were good as well although it would've been nice to have some ketchup or some sauce with them. they were seasoned with rosemary, which was great, but could've used a bit of salt. it's a really cute café and seems to have good space.

It's a hidden gem. I live not far from this cafe and I visited today with my fiancé and our daughter. Both my fiancé and daughter ordered bacon and egg on an everything bagel with a chocolate chip muffin. I ordered the El Sol tacos. The food was absolutely delicious! There were no leftovers nor crumbs lol. I did taste the chocolate chip muffin and had a bite of the bagel and it was quite tasty. The bagel was not hard to bite into which sometimes happens when you order a toasted bagel. The atmosphere was very chill and music played. I love that it had such a cozy vibe to it. I will definitely be returning very soon! Also, the staff that was there today, were phenomenal. I wish I had gotten their names to give them a shoutout right now, but when I return; hopefully they'll be there and I'll get the names then!

This cafe is Amazing! The ambiance is dainty and the service is friendly and accommodating. I've thoroughly enjoyed the Cheddar Smashbrowns, Loaded Avocado Toast and their ice teas. This place should expand or open more cafes -- how about one in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn!? Highly recommend!

Best cafe in the neighborhood, everyone needs to visit for sure. The vibe is really nice. Cozy place with delicious food and coffee. The customer service is amazing. Everyone is very welcoming and nice! Will definitely visit again and again

First time there loved it. The ambience is great and the music was good slow coffee shop reggae vibes. I ordered the eggs over easy in hash browns... OMG so so good!

The crisp crust pizza was superb. The red sauce is excellent and the cheese is not over in abundance. Krispy Krust makes nomads the best place for pizza.

Great food and vibe! Loved it! The coffee shop is small, yet all day long people were coming in and out. Great neighborhood place to frequent for a yummy meal while relaxing! Highly recommend!

A friend of mine is a usual of this cafe, I've passed it many times but never had gone. We decided to go, there latte menu is amazing, a very unique selection of lattes with peanut-butter and other things. They have smoothies and other drinks as well. They have a great selection of pastries including tarts and cookies things of that sort. I was hungry so I got "the launchpad" it was amazing. I like the unique kick to the names of drinks and food on the menu. They have in inside and outside seating and is a nice decorated and clean place.

This place is the best!!! They have so many different flavors for your coffee, including lavender (which they use the perfect amount of). I also got a croissant breakfast sandwich. It was fantastic. They did put a weird singular strawberry on my plate, but I got over that. Good good vibes. 10/10. Would hit again.

I moved down the block from here about 8 months ago and am just now finding this spot but now that I have, it's my go to place. Great food, fresh ingredients, good coffee... if you need a place to grab something yummy during the day... this is the spot. Wish they were open later... that's my only complaint, cause then I could eat there more :)

Woah, Nomad is so delicious! First of all, the staff is extremely friendly and makes me feel as if I'm at the cafe version of Chick Fil A. The cafe is always clean & has a welcoming environment. They have a variety of beverages - extra points for having La Croix & delicious pastries to choose from along with their unique list of lattes, smoothies, & other coffee items. I am extremely impressed with this cute cafe in Ridgewood. Last, but not least.. Their menu items are unique as well! I ordered the crepe, which I'm sure that's not the correct menu name, but it was VERY DELICIOUS. It was sweet & savory while the yogurt balanced out the sweetness. The presentation was also a nice touch!

Came here for the first time today. I had the nomad coffee and it was amazing!' Perfect amount of sweetness and the perfect amount of caffeine! The snickerdoodle coffee was good as well. We ordered the toast avocado egg entree for breakfast and it was delicious. It had a spicy hot sauce on the side and another green sauce. The order was well displayed and the ladies that work here are super sweet! It's so important to have smiling and happy workers! I highly recommend checking this place out!

Came here on a whim and their food and drinks did not disappoint. We got 2 Nomads with bacon, bean sprouts and spinach and it was amazing. The breakfast croissant was huge and it was definetley worth the price. We also tried their Creme Brulee latte and I liked that it was not too sweet.

moved around here in september, been to all local coffee shops and this one by far is the best. lovley staff, always clean, great coffee and food menu items. I usually order a ice cortado and a traveler w avacado you definatly get what you pay for. The inside is traveler themed with lots of light from the big windows and lots of plants. Id say this is my fav coffee shop.

I couldn't even wait to dig in before it occurred to me to snap a shot for you guys. Damn that Cheddar Smashbrowns is banging! Get ready for a load of chessie goodness. Not only is the food DELICIOUS, the staff if hella friendly and the tunes are sick. So if you're looking for a quaint, chill little local Cafe that happens to serve it up in every way, Nomad Cafe is a must! Thanks for the great experience...much luck and success your way.

Great smoothies and coffee! Ordered an iced oat milk latte with 1 pump of tiramisu syrup (insert drool emoji), an iced Americano and the Nomad smoothie (OJ base). Everything was delicious. The Americano was the perfect mix of smooth and strong...so many places have not perfected their Americano, but Nomad has! Will be back to try the food soon!!

Really nice neighborhood cafe right next to Forest Avenue Station with very limited outdoor seating right at the front of the store. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but they make a great latte and have different seasonal flavors and they make some delicious sandwiches to boot.

Love this place! Great food, great vibes, great hospitality. I always get The Traveler with cheddar & avocado on an everything bagel and it never disappoints. Lucky to have this little spot relatively close to me.

Excellent mix ended here randomly because i found parking upfront and it looked clean. Turkey sandwich was amazing , one of kind. Hopefully I pass by again to try out rest of menu.

This place just happened to be walking distance from our Airbnb where we're staying. We were just looking for a place to get some breakfast. This place is fantastic. Wonderful atmosphere, generous portions, very polite service. I don't give reviews very often, but I felt like I should give this one a FIVE STAR review

Feels like a local coffeeshop from 20 years ago, in the best way possible - comfortable and friendly as a reflection of its owner, instead of a reflection of some corporate focus group's trend reports. Staff have been super accommodating when it comes to gluten-free requests (not easy to find in this neighborhood) and the cheddar smashbrowns are a super-hearty way to start any day. Spending time here makes me want to forget it's 2020 - no smartphone, no real-person job, just hang out reading a used paperback until something interesting comes my way. But since it IS 2020 - wifi network is great and no one will mind if you open up a laptop.

I am so lucky to have this gem of a coffee spot up the block from me! Chicory cappuccino with ice cubes made from coffee... Cheddar smash browns have saved my soul on more than one occasion. Everything is so tasty and always presented beautifully. The staff are uber cool and eager to assist in anyway necessary. The interior is nicely appointed, there are so many interesting things to look at. And finally, the ambience and music make eating in a very pleasurable experience!

Nomad Cafe is absolutely a place you must try. This friendly and delicious neighborhood cafe is a gem for anyone making their morning commute to or from Ridgewood. Quick bites or a sit down meal, this is the place. I had heard tales of its greatness so I came with an appetite and left incredibly satisfied. On a hot sunny day the raspberry hibiscus iced tea was crisp and refreshing and just what the doctor ordered. I went with the Cheddar Smashbrowns, apparently a house favorite. It was the perfect combination of cheesy (cheddar), crunchy (hashbrown), sweet (bacon jam), and spicy (sriracha). And for under ten bucks my wallet was also happy. After hanging around for a couple hours I decided to try their roast beef sandwich they call The First Class. Another great selection. Made fresh and obviously with attention to detail as every bite was just as good as the last all the way until the end. The salad that comes alongside was even garnished with flower. Not something you'd expect but certainly a nice touch. These folks obviously care and appreciate everyone who stops in. If you live nearby or are just passing though the neighborhood, you should consider making a quick (or long) stop at Nomad Cafe. Your taste buds and wallet will not be disappointed. Also, the coffee is reasonably priced, something of a rarity these days for cafes in Queens and Brooklyn.

My happy place. I've been coming to Nomad for 2 years multiple times a week and they never cese to amaze me. The food is excellent, the coffee is amazing and the staff is incredibly friendly. Thank you Nomad I'll miss you the most

Super cute place here in beautiful Ridgewood. I love the decor, i love the vibe. I got the hash brown dish with siracha and wow. Interesting! Good if you're hungover! Also had an almond milk latte- really gross. Espresso tastes extremely burnt and nasty but the caffeine high was nice. I recommend either calibrating your espresso machine or finding a new espresso supplier. Anyway. The food was good.

Always come through. The breakfast sandwich on a croissant is the best. The plates are also amazing. Friendly service and awesome coffee!!

Place is cute, staff is always nice and the food is tasty. I love spending some time there, there's outside tables and water for your dog. The also have vegan options!! It's very yummy. They also have acai smoothies! Is a great grab and go or gran and stay.

My husband and I stumbled on this place which turned out to be amazing! We got the turkey sandwiches and each a smoothie. Everything was amazing and so fresh! We will be coming back!

One of my favorite cafes. The coffee americano is one of the best. If you're hungry then this is the spot for you. The food is delicious. The Sol Tacos are my favorite. So delicious. Fresh pico de gallo makes it pop. The hash browns are tasty and very filling. You can't go wrong.

Had their eggscape from ny which was eggs and a big rosemay hashbrown. Potatoes were pretty stale. The dish looks good but is very substandard, felt like cheap deli food. We also got a pesto turkey sandwich which was decent. 3 stars overall.
