NOMAD Coffee & Bakery

Google
Such a lovely natural bohemian atmosphere. It was my first time visiting this coffee and bakery cafe, and both myself and my friend were pleasantly surprised. Great friendly service, their mango iced tea was absolutely delicious and welcomed on such a hot summer's day. My friend and I had the avocado wrap, which was extremely yummy and healthy. I love that Nomad takes that extra step in protecting our environment by requesting customers to bring their clean, reusable drink containers/mugs to enjoy one of their refreshments. I will definitely be back :)

I crossed two bridges to try this café because of the hype around their coffee and matcha, and unfortunately, it wasn’t worth the trip. Both drinks were underwhelming—I genuinely make better lattes at home, likely because I use a good machine and pay attention to balance and flavor. One major issue was the non-dairy milk options. When I asked for no dairy, the alternatives offered were all sweetened (like almond milk with added sugar), which means the drink comes pre-loaded with sugar. That’s not ideal for anyone watching their sugar intake or managing blood sugar issues. Unsweetened non-dairy options should really be standard. The internet reception is also poor, and I agree with many other reviewers who have pointed this out. I honestly think the main reason this place is popular is because it’s located in the middle of a residential area with no nearby coffee shops or real competition. Even if it were closer to my home, I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

I dont know I have to leave seattle and come to BC to get coffee shops i actually like... but I do and this is one of the two shops I have to go to on my semi annual visit. Edit on my return in 2026, this is still my favorite coffee shop in the PNW.

Tried the strawberry matcha and croissant at Nomad — both were delicious! Great flavors, fresh pastries, and a cozy vibe. Will definitely come back!

Google
I recently visited this charming coffee shop and had a fantastic experience. Their espresso was rich and well-balanced, with just the right amount of intensity. The latte was equally impressive, with a silky texture and beautifully done latte art, which is always a nice touch. The barista was not only skilled but also very knowledgeable, offering great advice on their selection of coffee beans when I asked about buying some to take home. The vegan cake was decent but didn’t quite live up to the high standards set by the coffee itself. Still, it was a nice treat to accompany the drink. The shop’s atmosphere was another highlight. It’s bright, airy, and filled with green plants, creating a refreshing and relaxed vibe. The layout of the tables was perfect for both intimate chats and longer work sessions, allowing for a comfortable environment whether you're catching up with friends or getting some work done. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall welcoming feel of the place. Definitely a spot worth returning to for coffee lovers and anyone looking for a pleasant, cozy place to spend time.

Google
Great coffee, they even had a choice of beans for espresso drinks. Had an Americano and cortado, both were delicious. Food was great, not a huge selection of bakery items but enough variety to cover the bases. Quite a good selection of other food with sandwiches and such. The shop itself is very cozy with lots of plants and indoor/outdoor seating.

Google
This place has such a cool vibe! Not only is the atmosphere great, but they also have amazing food. I loved the variety and quality of their sandwiches and fresh pastries. If you’re looking for a good spot for coffee and a delicious bite, I highly recommend it.

Google
A lovely cozy cafe situated off the main streets of North Vancouver. Serving an interesting array of roasted coffees served up as pour overs, expresso, macchiatos, lattes, and matcha drinks. They serve up a nice fresh brioche bun sandwiches that are pretty good as well as some freshly baked croissants, cookies, scones, and baked items. Worth the visit for a relaxing lunch or coffee break.

Yelp
Nomad doesn't use single-use cups! Dine in with the house mugs or bring your own. Love it! The permeating eco-friendly theme is the most immediately obvious distinguishing factor here but the interesting pastries and food with Korean flavours are another highlight. I got the tofu bulgogi wrap, bread pudding, and almond PSL. Really good stuff. Delicious wrap with fresh vegetables. Bread pudding not too sweet, great texture. The PSL is made with real pumpkin and almond butter (the almond butter maybe added a little creaminess but it didn't taste super nutty) and is very espresso-forward. I really liked the interior design of the shop. There's a fair amount of seating but the layout feels opens. Interesting shapes in the layout from a design perspective. Plants everywhere. Lots of outdoor seating too, which is covered and separated from the sidewalk by dividers with more plants, which I like in a patio. Friendly and helpful staff.

Yelp
Busy buzzy coffee shop with great coffee. They don't use any single use paper or plastics so if you're stopping in for a coffee to go make sure you bring your own cup. (you can also buy one for $3 - get the purple one with the cat on the skateboard!) Tasty pastries and nice sandwiches too. Nice place to spend some time, switch off and meet up with friends.

Yelp
Oh my god. QUALITY!! The ambiance is so nice, calm, open. The service is fast and kind. The food is absolutely amazing, pastries, breakfast sandwiches. All of it. And the coffee. Don't come here if you like the sweet fake foofoo crap. If you want REAL. Good. Quality coffee.. this is the place. Homemade vanilla syrup, properly sourced beans. Perfect aeration. Easy recommendation. 10/10.

Yelp
The coffee was good.. the food would maybe have been ok but I got a new breakfast sandwich they were testing and the egg was cold.. not like not hot kind of cold, but like it just came out of the fridge cold after they warmed it up for me. I ended up letting them know and they were nice about it but just made me a new one the exact same way with the same result. They attempted to take it apart and cook just the egg the third time but it was still somehow very cold so I gave up, but had they managed to heat the whole sandwich up I think it would have been ok.

Yelp
Cozy local cafe in North Vancouver loved by locals. This was my second time visiting them and I will continue to come back for their great service and delicious drinks. Today I had their iced chai latte and it was much better than expected. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 only because they didn't have many indoor seating options for 4 people. They also have cute fresh treats for your little paw friends. Their interior is filled with fresh plants which helps create a cozy and welcoming environment.

Yelp
Cute little spot in North Van. Lots of lovely plants on display and for purchase. Bring your own cup is back. Iced latte was lovely and staff was busy and efficient. Great aesthetic.

Yelp
A new cafe in North Vancouver that has a bring your own cup philosophy. Very cute space and seating with a nice outdoor space as well. If you forget your own cup, you can also buy one of theirs for very reasonably price (not sure if there are other options as we did bring our own cups). We got two of the seasonal - cold brew and pink lemonade and they were both very refreshing on a hot day. We also got a scone that was warm when we had it as well. The only "complaint" I had was that one of the washrooms was a bit small but clean! Lovely place to get together with people. Would recommend!

Yelp
One of my favourite coffee shops!! It's like walking into a beautiful jungle. Plants everywhere!! The coffee is some of the best I've ever had. Always made to perfection and the staff is very warm and inviting. Feels like home! Please note they are an eco friendly establishment, so if you want a coffee to go remember to bring your own cup or you can buy one of theirs.

Yelp
Very nice and friendly service. Coffee is great too. What else to ask from local coffee shop? ...maybe bigger menu or meals selection? Overall great new coffee shop in the area. If you coming for to go, bring your own cup!

Yelp
Stoped in while driving from Seattle , the coffee was good and brioche sandwich delicious , and service was great ! Thanks

Biff B.

Yelp
Don't expect to get anything here unless you bring your own cup. Ridiculous.Business moto Let's serve drinks but no cups for them. We will surely try to upsell you on a reusable one though.

Yelp
We came for the cold brew coffee and we loved it! Delicious and subtle floral flavor that compliments the right amount of bitter, we ordered it with some vanilla and it really complimented everything nicely! Highly recommend if cold brew is your go-to morning drink!

Yelp
It's such a beautifully decorated coffee shop. I personally love their bread pudding! Coffee is awesome!!

Yelp
We really need such a great place in our neighborhood. Very friendly staff, good vibe and yummy treats.

Yelp
I live nearby and was pleased when a new coffee shop opened up. The staff is great and the improvements are well done. I would not recommend the breakfast sandwich though. I've tried it a few times and they don't cook the bacon! Unless you like raw bacon for breakfast then avoid. Other than that a nice spot.
