NOMAD Melbourne

Loved it - we had the $90 express set menu which was delicious. So many flavours, and didn't feel too heavy but just right. Service was great and overall a fantastic night. I recommend!

This restaurant is amazing exactly how I expect fine dining to be. The wonderfully curated food and wines makes the dining experience top notch. The timing of the courses coming out of the kitchen was great not too fast and not too slow. The ambiance is makes the dining experience very comfortable and really enjoy your meal. Finally the customer service again top notch very attentive and added to the amazing experience.

As a devout lover and regular patron of the Sydney branch, I thought I’d give the Melbourne Nomad a shot and my gosh, I was not disappointed. Collectively, we struggled to find a single fault in any of the dishes. Exceptional (like exceptional) service, simple and elegant flavours done perfectly, and innovative dishes without being showy. The tuna was a standout, and as a heavy meat eater weirdly the best dish of the night was the cauliflower! In a street with a few other popular places, do yourself a favour and head here instead.

We had an incredible experience at NOMAD Melbourne. The food was packed with flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care — highlights included the wood-fired dishes and house-made flatbread. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was stylish yet welcoming. A top-tier dining experience we’ll definitely be coming back for.

Heard from my friend this place is good hence decided to give it a go. Didn’t book in advanced, was able to get a seat at the bar counter. The food is excellent, the duck is tender and full of flavor, the portion is pretty small. Not a pleasant experience with the differential in treatment by a young gentleman, perhaps I was alone and the “perceived spending power” was low or he was as just choosing his tribe. ;) Anyway the food was good, I wanted to order more but looking at the service I better go somewhere else like Cumulus and others to spend my money and night.

Good hearty Australian modern food. Although we enjoyed the food and experience at Nomad, Friday 14 March 2025 for dinner, this was a notch below a nearby restaurant we experienced on the Monday earlier in the week. Hence the rating of 4 overall and for each category. Whilst we enjoyed the food the quality reflected the lower price point. We rated the restaurant we went to on Monday a resounding 5 overall and 5 for each category. We are positive with Nomad but would only return if there was a social, group decision. Whilst more expensive the other restaurant is a definite repeat and recommended. An example, for us, that top quality is preferred when spending money. The steak was good and cooked well but chewy. The olive oil cake was nice but the review hype did not live up to expectations. We enjoyed the zucchini flowers and Kingfish.

Wow, what can I say, I absolutely love this place. We had the set Feast Menu and enjoyed every course. My favourites were, the flat bread, hommus, cauliflower the tuna starter and the olive oil ice-cream was just so delicious. The food was so tasty and worked well together. The entire experience from start to finish was wonderful. Thankyou to our waitress Maja who was helpful, friendly and a great source of information. My compliments to the chef for an amazing lunch.

I visited for the first time on Wednesday to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly a special experience. The quality and taste of the food exceeded my expectations, and the waitress’s attentive service was particularly impressive. Her warm and friendly attitude made the dining experience even more enjoyable, and the menu recommendations were absolutely delicious. Thank you for making my special day even more memorable. I look forward to visiting again in the future!
