Nomad Tanzania

We used Nomad for our first ever safari and could not have been more pleased with the service! We had the good fortune of Raymond being our guide. We LOVED Raymond! The man is a wealth of knowledge about all things Africa. He worked tirelessly to find us animals and provide us information about wildlife, plants, and local culture. We spent several days with Raymond from Arusha, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti. He was always on time, always greeted us with a smile, always had the safari vehicle cleaned up and spotless, and always treated us like we were treasured guests. This was a first class experience from start to finish, and one we hope to experience again. We saw EVERYTHING we could have hoped for and more. Our experience staying at Nomad camps was nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warmth, attentiveness, and deep knowledge of the region. My family and I just returned from a magical 8 day Serengeti Safari. If you are looking to do a Safari, this is the company to pick. Our guide Paul was so kind, incredibly knowledgable and an amazing animal spotter. He went out of his way to make sure we felt comfortable and had the opportunity to see ALL the animals of this amazing place. We were so lucky to see baby cheetahs, baby lions, two leopards, several massive families of elephants, countless, hippos, flamingoes...and even a black rhino about 30m away!!! Each of the 'camps' we stayed at were so much more luxurious than I could have expected. I don't want to call them 'camps' because they were to nice. The staff at each accommodation location were superb. I also can not speak highly enough of the food. There were many options at all meals and everything was so delicious. I was also impressed by the location and views of each camp. At our Ngorongoro camp we were able to sit in our room in the morning and watch giraffes and zebras walk by the window. At our Southern Serengeti camp we got to see baboons running over the large rocks in the distance. And at the Northern Serengeti camp we watched hundreds of wildebeests graze in the meadow from the balcony. On top of all of this, Nomad clearly cares about its staff and the surrounding communities. The team of people we met will stay in our hearts. What a great company.

We recently had the great privilege of spending time with Nomad Tanzania at their Kuro Camp in Tarangire National Park. We had some very specific requests and the Nomad Team were fantastic in organizing everything we required. Not only was the trip a great success, we also want to thank their entire team for their very warm and a genuine hospitality. The camp is also beautiful appointed and one feels fully integrated into the African bush in Kuro camp's peaceful and special surrounds. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

On our 12 day honeymoon safari in Rwanda and Tanzania, we were lucky enough to spend two days in the Ngorongoro Crater on a private game drive with the amazingly informative Goodluck! He picked us up from the Manyara airstrip and made our entire stay in the Crater enjoyable, safe, informative, and fun. We learned so much from him and enjoyed our picnic together - thanks for helping us see so many rhinos and for teaching us so much! Nomad driver John also made our last day in Arusha go off without a hitch. He picked us up from the Arusha airstrip and kept us informed and entertained throughout our day at the Arusha Coffee Lodge and on to Kilimanjaro Airport. Nice to know there’s such a big Elvis fan in Arusha!

Nomad is terrific. We spent a week on safari in Tanzania with three 2 nights visits in Kuro Camp (Tarangire Nationalpark), Entamanu (Ngorongoro Krater) and Lamai Camp (Serengeti). Our guide (Lazaro George) was experienced, very highly knowledgeable about the animals and their habitat and very communicative with us. Each and every Safari worker and manager is highly motivated. All personnel we met were gracious, generous and made us feel part of their Nomad family for a week. Our tents (actually wooden or cloth floors or cloth walls include beds, mosquito net, a spacious toilet and shower) were very clean and comfortable with attention to the details. Food and drink was excellent and plentiful. There is full time security at the camps to ensure safety. Nomad makes a lasting positive impression. They bridge the experience of Old-Time Safari with the comforts of First World living. We highly recommend Nomad.
