We had such a great time there. The amenities were great, love the colours all around. The pool is huge and at the perfect temperature, but not very clear. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful !! And love the fact that there are activities planned for each day of the week ! Tuesday and Thursday you can learn salsa ! If you are traveling with friends I highly recommend the dormitory that was at such a good price and you can get to meet nice people !

Staying at this hostel in Mérida was an absolute blast! The place was super clean and well taken care of, which made it easy to feel at home right away. The vibe was amazing — there was always great music playing, perfect for dancing and getting the energy up! The pool was such a bonus, the perfect spot to cool off and chill with new friends. Speaking of friends, the atmosphere here made it so easy to meet awesome people from all over the world. Plus, the yoga classes were fantastic — a great way to start the day feeling refreshed and balanced. I had such a great time and would come back in a heartbeat!

If you think on booking, don’t. I think it used to be a nice hostel but not anymore. Really old Infrastructure, it’s a “social” hostel and there’s activities but it’s feels like it’s forced and the crew are not there in terms of a good vibe and good attitude. The AC IS ONLY ACTIVE FROM 8pm until 9am, and you can’t control the temperature or the power, in this part of Mexico AC in a room is a must, at least for me. I think there are better alternatives of better hostel in the same neighborhood.

As a 24 year old solo female traveler from Canada! PROs- - the 4 bed mixed dorm was really big, comfortable and away from any noise. If you are going to stay here I reccomend booking this room. - the location feels really safe. The dorms lock and so does the main entrance door. - the hostel is really beautiful with a lot of plants and seating areas CONs- - the biggest issue is that they DONT TELL YOU the AC is off in the dorm rooms from about 10am-9pm which feels like a scam to not advertise this. I wouldve booked somewhere else if I knew. - they allow people to smoke anywhere, even by the pool on the chair lounges when you are trying to relax, or at the tables when you are eating. Kind of gross! - i ended up getting really sick and had to go to the hospital. When i was recovering I decided to move to an airbnb that has proper AC, they would not give me a refund for even 2/3 nights. Instead they sent me an email voucher for only 1 night worth, ($28CAD/400mx) no cash, the voucher is only used in mexico for 1 year so it is now useless to me and it is definitely not enough to cover even half the money i missed out. I dont think i would chose to stay here again all things considered. Im really disappointed with the way they handled my situation and also the lack of AC in 38 degree heat.

Location was perfect. Katy at front desk was super helpful with check in and checkout process. One feedback is they could maintain quiet hours after 12 and have more clean facilities in the kitchen

I can only speak for the private rooms but it was overall a wonderful experience staying at Nomadas Hostel in Merida. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, especially Alexis. Alexis and the rest of the social events organizers put in a lot of time and effort creating activities for guests to join on their own, and no it never feels forced. Their WhatsApp group is very informative and always updating guests on what activities, food/drink specials, and daily tours are available for the day/week. They offer a lot of tours, which I found very helpful. The private room was clean and comfortable, and AC blows cold. Water pressure was a little low but that didn't bother me one bit. The pool is a highlight. It's a great place to cool off during the day due to the hot and humid Yucatan weather. It's a great common area with hammocks, tables, loungers, and of course, a bar, where everyone usually hangs out. I didn't find the smoking to be an issue as a non-smoker because everyone who smoked were quite considerate of others. Lots of wonderful volunteers working the bar as well - Secil and Francesca to name a couple. The hostel is located quite close to Centro, so walking to restaurants, markets, shops, corner stores, bars, clubs, parks, plazas, museums. etc were done with ease. Ubers are also quite affordable while traversing Merida from this location.

I’ve spent three nights at this hostel and I couldn’t be happier. The staff is very friendly and comes up with so many creative activities! It felt like family - And I made some friends too! I stayed in a private double bedroom and it felt like a hotel room. Highly recommended!

Loved everything about this hostel. Except, its a SMOKER HOSTEL ONLY. The exterior is like a little maze and super cozy. The pool area is nice. Great social activities and location, and staff is friendly. But if you don't smoke or enjoy second hand smoke, this is not for you. There is literally no smoke free zone anywhere.

Yelp
Awesome hostel!!! Probably one of the best ones I've ever stayed at and I've been to a lot! This place offers Mexican cooking classes for only 25 pesos including the meal! Also free yoga in the morning and free salsa classes! They have a pretty average breakfast but great fruit! Wonderful pool area with hammocks all over the place. Great location as well! Would definitely recommend !
