Can't say enough great things about this place. Location is unbeatable, the rooms are great, the staff are lovely, kind and plan really thoughtful events. The amenities are great, and this place is really ideal if you're someone like me who wants to strike a balance between working remotely and having a private spot to work as well as being social when you're off the clock. I would absolutely come back whenever I'm in Merida again!

Staying at this hostel in Mérida was an absolute blast! The place was super clean and well taken care of, which made it easy to feel at home right away. The vibe was amazing — there was always great music playing, perfect for dancing and getting the energy up! The pool was such a bonus, the perfect spot to cool off and chill with new friends. Speaking of friends, the atmosphere here made it so easy to meet awesome people from all over the world. Plus, the yoga classes were fantastic — a great way to start the day feeling refreshed and balanced. I had such a great time and would come back in a heartbeat!

We had such a great time there. The amenities were great, love the colours all around. The pool is huge and at the perfect temperature, but not very clear. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful !! And love the fact that there are activities planned for each day of the week ! Tuesday and Thursday you can learn salsa ! If you are traveling with friends I highly recommend the dormitory that was at such a good price and you can get to meet nice people !

I had a great time at Che Hostal! The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the highlight was definitely the bar by the pool. Jorge was super friendly, made great drinks, and kept the energy up all day. Big thanks to him and the whole team — can’t wait to come back!

If you think on booking, don’t. I think it used to be a nice hostel but not anymore. Really old Infrastructure, it’s a “social” hostel and there’s activities but it’s feels like it’s forced and the crew are not there in terms of a good vibe and good attitude. The AC IS ONLY ACTIVE FROM 8pm until 9am, and you can’t control the temperature or the power, in this part of Mexico AC in a room is a must, at least for me. I think there are better alternatives of better hostel in the same neighborhood.

I want to first say that I’m 70 years old and have an emotional pet Yorkie who has been traveling Mexico for the last 5 months. I had previously had a room rented but when I got there there was a big problem and I was taxied to Centro. I had my pet my luggage and back pack with a broken wheel that I could not roll stuck in Centro with no hotel accepting my service pet with papers. I had seen the Che Nomad advertised and after a blistering afternoon walk with everyone looking at me I called and explained my problem to the reception desk and he informed me that with my documents I could stay at the Che nomad. I was told I was 5 minutes away it took me 25 dragging my belongings but I made finally made it to check in. From that moment until check out I was treated so well an everyone was polite and answered my many questions. Food was excellent made by Daniel and entertainment with classes was posted but because of my age I avoided the pool. Alex’s and Gia were excellent at keeping the music and vibe going until 11 when it closes. I felt safe and so many guests spoke to me about my pet. Last day I took a trip to the cenotes and both Alexis and Gia were there for the group we were able to discuss issues that came up and I meet some very young professionals who were on vacation. Thank you Che Nomad for being my savior and allowing me to enjoy my days in Merida. 5 stars for my stay and the location is perfect for the sites and restaurant locations.

As a 24 year old solo female traveler from Canada! PROs- - the 4 bed mixed dorm was really big, comfortable and away from any noise. If you are going to stay here I reccomend booking this room. - the location feels really safe. The dorms lock and so does the main entrance door. - the hostel is really beautiful with a lot of plants and seating areas CONs- - the biggest issue is that they DONT TELL YOU the AC is off in the dorm rooms from about 10am-9pm which feels like a scam to not advertise this. I wouldve booked somewhere else if I knew. - they allow people to smoke anywhere, even by the pool on the chair lounges when you are trying to relax, or at the tables when you are eating. Kind of gross! - i ended up getting really sick and had to go to the hospital. When i was recovering I decided to move to an airbnb that has proper AC, they would not give me a refund for even 2/3 nights. Instead they sent me an email voucher for only 1 night worth, ($28CAD/400mx) no cash, the voucher is only used in mexico for 1 year so it is now useless to me and it is definitely not enough to cover even half the money i missed out. I dont think i would chose to stay here again all things considered. Im really disappointed with the way they handled my situation and also the lack of AC in 38 degree heat.

Location was perfect. Katy at front desk was super helpful with check in and checkout process. One feedback is they could maintain quiet hours after 12 and have more clean facilities in the kitchen

Yelp
Awesome hostel!!! Probably one of the best ones I've ever stayed at and I've been to a lot! This place offers Mexican cooking classes for only 25 pesos including the meal! Also free yoga in the morning and free salsa classes! They have a pretty average breakfast but great fruit! Wonderful pool area with hammocks all over the place. Great location as well! Would definitely recommend !
