Nomads was a nice place to stay, especially as a solo traveller, but I had an unfortunate experience there that I don't think was handled very well by the reception. ||I arrived late Tuesday night and had a one night reservation from Tuesday to Wednesday and then a separate reservation from Wednesday to Wednesday. I asked in the reception when I arrived if I had to check out Wednesday morning or if I could stay in the room, and she told me I could just stay. I even double checked the morning after if I could leave my stuff in the room and she assured me I could, so I left my kind of expensive towel hanging in the room, along with my suitcases, and went out for the day. ||Maybe this was not communicated to the housekeeping, or at least something happened, because when I came back the towel was gone, but I thought maybe they would bring it back. When they didn't I asked the reception a couple days later about it and she said they would text me if they found it but they never did. ||When I checked out I asked her again, and said I was a little disappointed because I was told I could leave my stuff in there and then something was taken, and then she just very rudely responded that I was not allowed to accuse their staff of stealing, and that she would not tolerate their staff being spoken about like that. I was very taken aback because I genuinely think it was a mistake they took it, but the girl at the reception never offered any other resolution and didn't even apologize for the mistake. ||it's my first time traveling alone and I was told at nomads that it was a good place for first time young travellers, so I'm sad I had this unfortunate experience with the receptionist, and was a little offended at being spoken to like that and not even being offered an apology. ||Maybe more experienced hostel stayers will think it's a rookie mistake to leave your stuff out no matter what, but it was my first stay in a hostel. ||But except for this experience it was a nice stay, nice rooms, and you can tell they care about it often being young solo travellers staying there, so I'm sad this experience changed my experience with the hostel.
