Singapore's top vegan and vegetarian restaurants

"Located in Clarke Quay Central, this modern vegan bistro turns fast-food favourites and international comfort dishes into plant-powered versions, offering burgers, pastas, pizzas and Asian favourites. Highlights include a Lion’s Mane Truffle Burger, a Temptation Satay Burger with marinated tempeh, and a Cheezy OmniMeat Pizza; adventurous items have included a durian-topped pizza with tempura bits and cashew-soya cream cheese. The menu also features udon options and a signature Vietnamese-style pho brewed from a clear, multi-spice broth with mushrooms and smoked soy chunks replacing meat. Many dishes are free from dairy, eggs, onions, garlic and alcohol." - Hazel Vincent de PaulandMegan Tan

I've eaten here twice and love how big and varied the menu is! I especially enjoyed the Rendang burger. As someone who doesn't like fake meat or mushrooms (yes, some of us do just want the classic bean or tofu patty 😉), I wish there were more 'classic' vegan options like that, but this is of course the same in almost every vegan restaurant nowadays. Great service and lovely views though! 💜

We’re truly impressed by the excellent service provided by Vivien and all the restaurant staff . They were attentive, accommodating all our requests promptly and with a smile. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the fried mushrooms, Vietnam pho, pizza & burger. The whole dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Thank you for making our meal so pleasant,we’ll definitely be back!

Restaurant is on 3F, in the blue zone. Signs are well marked so it’s easy to find. We arrived around 5:30, no reservation but still got a window seat looking over the waterway. Restrooms are located a bit away so be aware if you have kids. Ambiance is casual but very lovey. Staff were kind and supportive. The food was very diverse- there are lots of “Asian” and “western” options. We have been vegans for years, so we were curious to try things we’ve never seen before such as the fried spring rolls that use bean curd skins. They were crunchy with a soft inside, very tasty with a nice balance of textures. Vegan burgers were great for me, exactly what I expected. We ordered the Extreme and the Black Pepper. It’s sauce heavy but tasty. Be aware- the Black Pepper is hot enough to make you sit up and notice. The fries were standard fare- not too oily, lightly salted, crisp but not overly cooked. We weren’t sure what to order for our 5-year-old. The restaurant in general is “child friendly” in that there are high chairs and a lot of options to choose from, but my little one is very cautious if things don’t “look right”. So we opted for the spaghetti carbonara- which wasn’t amazing to be honest. A bit watered down and oily, but the flavor was fine. Everything else was really lovely, so still five stars for me The location is very good. After we finished, we spent the evening walking around the area. Prices here really are modest in context with the area.

Affordable cafe in Clarke Quay! I was shocked when I saw the price from as low as $10 given the location and it’s a cafe! Food portion is mid size, not too big, not too small. Overall It’s a good experience dining here.

Had dinner at this place today. This is a must visit for vegans. We tried a number of items. The banh mi was excellent and so was the burger. Pizza felt a little to be desired for. I would not recommend it. Loved the caffe latte and ice tea , both of which were good. The atmosphere is very nice.

As a longtime vegetarian, I’m always on the lookout for veggie friendly options when traveling, and NomvNom’s menu looked too good to resist. The restaurant is on the second floor of a Clarke Quay Central shopping mall with an excellent lookout over the river so you can people watch while you dine. The menu is entirely veggie friendly, and the Asian fusion aspect of their menu means that you can sample delicious food from just about anywhere in the region. I went 1/2 and 1/2 with the meatless and chicken less banh mi with my dining partner. The salad with the crispy French roll was an excellent balance, and the meatless meat was flavorful and the texture was perfect for enjoying a satisfying chew while devouring savory mouthfuls. The houjicha gelato was an excellent after dinner compliment, rich with a hint of sweetness. If you’re a resident or a visitor, give this place a try!

Yelp
Visiting Singapore and we were near Clarke Quay and luckily found this gem. I think we should have chosen some "safer" options rather than dishes that contained Lion's Mane Mushrooms - as we hadn't tried them as of yet. We ordered a Shacha Lion's Mane Udon soup. The Shacha flavour new to us and so was the Lion's Mane Mushroom. The broth was good and so was all the fixings like button and portobello mushrooms and spinach. The Lion's Mane Mushroom are SO CHEWY. A texture that we did not expect Ordered a Lion Mane Truffle Burger set which comes with a salad, French Fries as well. The FF perfectly fried and delicately seasoned. The Salad deliciously good with miso dressing. It also comes with lemon passion fruit tea (we chose cold) - again very good. The Burger was good, and mushrooms as they were tiny pieces was not as chewy. If we ever do come across NomVnom, will surely give them a try

Yelp
To be fair, this was my first meal in Singapore so I don't have much to compare yet. My dish was tasty however it was not like in the picture and had very lil vegetables, specially the lion mane mushrooms which is the name of the dish. That is a lil frustrating because that is the reason I ordered it, because I love this mushroom. The food came out very quickly after ordering with the QR code on the table. Overall I really like it, just wish there were more than 3 lil pieces of the lions mane.

Yelp
Thank goodness for this restaurant or my sister would have starved in Singapore. Vegan food is apparently very hard to come by. My sister ate here every day for our week long trip. She would order extra each night to eat for lunch the next day while we were touring. The place is never crowded so it's easy to be sat right away. We liked having the tables along the windows so we could have a view of the river and the slingshot across the river. Food was consistently good. My sister loved the nuggets.

Yelp
THE FOOD IN SINGAPORE *happy tears*. Being that my husband and I are both vegan, we have been epically impressed by the various plant based food options out here. nomVnom is inside a shopping center/mall. A lot of seating options with a nice view of the water. Staff were very kind and helpful. Food came out quickly and we felt comfortable and content while eating here. One of the items I got was a waffle. Just a tip, they interestingly don't have syrup or agave here, but add some ice cream to the waffle and it's even better than those condiments.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the food here. It us a small cute little bistro on the 3rd floor of a mall/shopping centre. It was one of the few open vegan places when we were visiting Clarke Quay on a recent trip. Myhusband and got one of their signature Asian burgers and a spicy ramen. Both were delicious. The burger was hands down one of the beat I've eaten in my life. Prices were super affordable and they do charge for water.service was iffy but the food more than made up for the lack of.

Yelp
Atmosphere is pleasant, with a nice view over Clarke Quay. Service was friendly, but staff didn't seem to know much about allergens in the food. Most of the burgers contained some form of gluten, and there was no substitute option for the wheat bun. I ended up ordering the corn soup after convincing the server that cornstarch doesn't contain gluten. It came out overmicrowaved, with a skin on top and steam pouring out for five minutes before I could taste it, and then it was just kind of watery and sad. The geez cake (which the server said does contain wheat flour, despite that the photo display lists all ingredients except flour) was supertasty, but just a tiny little slice. I love that vegan restaurants are starting to be a thing, so I'm giving it an extra star for that reason. If you don't have any dietary restrictions and don't mind microwaved food, you can have a tasty little meal here. Credit cards accepted.

Yelp
NomVnom is located in a mall with views of Clarke Quay across the street. It's a self service small cafe where you order from a note pad and you turn in that note to a teenager. My friend is a vegan and we arrived here after 9 pm. There are two locations in the city but we selected this one as it's open later. I ordered the rendang burger and the flavors were sweet and strong. There were two or three popchips in the burger to add some crunch. The fried mushrooms we ordered were plain and wet on the inside. Overall, I think this is a great options for Vegans that are looking for a Western option. The location was challenging to find so I recommend having a picture of the location and asking around.

Yelp
I was in Singapore for two weeks and this was one of my favorite meals! (I'm a little embarrassed to admit that amongst all that beautiful cuisine from ethnicities around the world, it was Western-style fast-food that was one of my favorite meals, but what can you do. I am American after all.) nomVnom is a 100%-vegan fast-food joint in the food court basement of Clarke Quay Central. They do vegan burgers, a variety of sides, some desserts, and a variety of hot and cold drinks. I had the "Meatless Mexican," which is a soy patty with black olives, jalapeño, tomato, mustard, and lettuce. Now, I'm from Texas, so I know Mexican food -- and aside from the jalapeño, nothing about this burger was "Mexican." But who cares? It was delicious! For a side, I had the Vietnamese Yam Roll and OHMYGOSH WHAT IS THIS PURPLE DELICIOUSNESS. I was tempted to get up and order another side of the Vietnamese Yam Roll, because it was that amazing. But I was too embarrassed because I'd already demolished my meal in less than 15 minutes, ha! For a drink, I got good old-fashioned American root beer (hard to find in Australia, so I was surprised to see it in Singapore) and they gave me some free apple cider as well. Score! Atmosphere-wise, this is just a basic food court, so expect cramped food court seating, but it's not a big deal. Their patties are also free from garlic and onion if you are avoiding those. I'm not sure about their sauces. Anyway, definitely worth trying this place for a quick lunch or dinner if you're around the Clarke Quay Central area. And if you're vegetarian or vegan who's visiting Singapore and craving Western food, make an effort to seek this place out!

Yelp
OH MY am I not a burger person (I think I'd rather have soy sauce over rice) but OH MY do I love these burgers. I came back twice during my time in sg (I'm writing this review over a year later, still thinking about this place) and I even dragged my carnivore friends here (which they very much appreciated). From the complementary apple cider vinegar shot they give you if you dine in that's perfectly sweet, tangy and feels like *health* (not to mention aids digestion of all the food I'm gonna devour afterwards), to the burgers with what-feels-like artisan buns, to the sweet potato fries (I also don't usually like fries I'm sorry but I love japanese yams), everything is delicious!! You can't go wrong with any of the burgers (can't believe I'm saying this) but I can personally vouch for the King Mushroom Head and Lion's Mane Truffle Burgers.

Yelp
I ordered the QQ cheesy burger and it was very satisfying. I love the homemade cashew sauce and it tastes amazing with the mushroom patty. The best part of the meal was the appetizer. It's was my first time taking a shot of vinegar before any meal. It made the experience unforgettable. Staff were very accommodating. Able to answer my questions. Overall experience was great. Will be back when I revisit SG!

Yelp
My go-to for vegan nomz. Their menu is huge, offer beautiful views of Clarke Quay Central. You can't go wrong with a Temptation Satay if you like spicy.

Yelp
Woo, what a variety of vegetarian and vegan burgers! The south east asian flavours are paramount and distinct, worth going back to try multiple items.

Yelp
I came here after trying to go to a couple different Hawker centers. All of the vegan stalls were closed, and I was so hungry. I got the 4c set which is a mushroom truffle sauce burger with a cold lemon tea and a side salad. The side salad was two pieces of lettuce and a half a handful of chopped carrots. The drink was okay, but I wished the cup had been bigger. The burger was good, but it wasn't amazing. It was a glorified chicken sandwich with mayo. I spend $14.90 SGD, and I wish I had gone somewhere else. I'm sure I will be hungry again in a few hours. Unless you've got $20 SGD burning a hole in your pocket, go somewhere else.

Yelp
My partner is vegetarian so decided to try it. I was more for local foods and decided on the Toon Rendang Rice, the vegan version of Rasi Lemak. Boy... It was tasty and fake small fishes (ikanbili) was really great. Will definitely come back again.

Yelp
I loved this place.. casual, great view.. great food...I had the lion mane truffle burger ...delicious and my friend had the toon rendan rice ..lemongrass flavored mok meat with rice and salad so tasty! A 100% vegan hideaway. Affordable at $30 for 2 ppl.

Yelp
I tried their Qq Cheesy burger and Truffle fries. The QQ cheesy burger was supposed to be the recommended dish in this restaurant, but it was way below my expectation. The burger tasted bland. The patty wasn't so good, it just tasted like potato salad with a bit of mushroom flavor. The truffle fries helped, as it tasted good like most truffle fries. Plus side, they had some tomato sauce to add some flavor to the burger. But its definitely overpriced, since there are better vegetarian burgers out there with lower price

Yelp
I remember going to Nom v Nom when it was just a little shop, and have watched it transform into this large establishment! Really friendly staff and inspiring to see them build through their opinions about veganism! Recommend it! The food is great and there are now more healthy options!
