Great customer service, cute retro atmosphere and smash burgers that are just OK. Needs more seasonings, don’t particularly care for the crispy crunch around the outside of the burgers. The brioche bun is very tasty. Fries were not anything to write home about even though I mention in them on my review, Maybe the Nonla way taste better. I do feel The price point was probably in line for what you received. It was a very good price. Just not my flavor profile. I do recommend that you try them for yourself. The vibes are good here. Clean and airy!

Nonla Burger is a fantastic spot for a casual, quick, and delicious lunch! The space is super clean and inviting, and our server was so nice and friendly, which made the experience even better. We tried the cheeseburger, BBQ Club Chicken Sandwich, and fries, plus the Steenstra Cookie boozy milkshake—everything was absolutely delicious! The burger is simple, classic, and done right. My only small critique is that with "burger" in the name, I was hoping for some creative or unique burger options, but they stick to a straightforward, cheeseburger—which is totally fine because it’s delicious and well-executed! The menu is simple but solid, making it a great place for a quick bite, a group outing, or a family-friendly meal. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!

Atmosphere was great and I was able to have a beer with my burger yum…they also offer non alcoholic beer. The staff were incredible, so welcoming and gave us a great tour of the menu. Amazing, thank you Nonla

Title: Brunch Burger Review: This brunch burger is everything you never knew you needed. It’s the perfect marriage of breakfast and burger indulgence, and it did not disappoint. The patty was thick, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, with a crispy-edged sear that added just the right amount of texture. Topped with a fried egg with a runny yolk, bacon, hash brown, melty cheese, and a fresh, slightly toasted bun, each bite was a burst of savory goodness. The toppings were spot-on, balancing richness, a house-made aioli. The egg added that perfect brunch feel, and the bacon was crispy and smoky without overwhelming the other flavors. The side of crispy fries (with an optional dipping sauce) made it even better. Service was quick, and everything tasted fresh. This brunch burger was satisfying without being overly heavy, and I left feeling just the right amount of full. If you’re looking to combine your love for breakfast and burgers, this one is a must-try!

Amazing burgers! Almost the best in town. Service could improve. - Dish: NB Wagyu Bistro Burger. This 8oz burger was well thought out and executed with amazing perfection! It was messy, but worth getting our hands dirty. The patty was medium rare to medium and VERY juicy good! The cheese was not a huge portion, but with everything else was still balanced well. BACON! The bacon was great, thick and slightly difficult to bite through, but not bad at all. The avocado was a small nuance rather than overwhelming like some other places. The other toppings were just right and with balanced portions. The bun was also a great choice. - Side: Blueberry Waffle Shake of the Day. You only get one option, but it changes daily. The price is a bit steep for being 12oz. - Service: Put-off to online ordering unless you insist. They do seat you, give you a menu, but the ordering is urged to the app. We insisted on ordering especially because we knew what we wanted before arriving. They bring your food to your table, but you pay at the counter if you do not use the app. The register messed up on several occasions before we were finally able to pay and leave. They then added 20% gratuity by default to our order. Normally, this is fine when it is standard table service, but it seemed like a rip off with how little we were actually served. It was more like a fast food restaurant that does NOT add 20%. - Atmosphere: Bright, modern, and with historic flares. The old Time magazine covers and articles keep the eye’s attention and keeps you busy while waiting. The tables were clean. The music playing was a bit louder and made conversation difficult, though. The bathroom was clean and updated. - Conclusion: I’ve been looking forward to visiting for a long time because I follow them on Facebook and see their weekly specials. They have a passion for making a unique burger every week and I love seeing a restaurant push the envelope like that! Just be aware that the service is not like a standard sit down restaurant. Stopped on a Friday at 5:30pm.

Google
A positive vibe with a matching menu. Nonla melds a welcoming environment with an upbeat, yet relaxed atmosphere. Preference plays a part here, but the quality is inarguably good regardless. FOOD: *Wings - flavor, not just hot. Not dry or cheap chicken either. The ingredients I wouldn't normally pick for myself go great together. *Cheeseburger, the Nonla Way - a well crafted burger that's presumably on the healthier side. Thinner, classic patties, with a few more veggies than you're used too, but it works. *Shake (of the day) - Cookies & cream. Flavor is on point, and without the artificial taste & grit you get from fast food drive thrus. *Beyond Veggie Burger Meal - Burger was great, Nonla Way Fries were perfect. *House made pickles. As a pickle hater, these are great. Never had fresh tasting pickles before. Update: I had a not great visit in the past where virtually everything had an issue. But giving it another chance, it bounced right back.

Google
Came for Sunday Brunch and this place did not disappoint! We even had permission from the Chef to be a little creative and ended up with a Spicy Chicken Sando Nonlas Way on top of their super fluffy Waffle and a side of syrup. When the dish came out, and I had my first bite it was nothing short of EPIC! If you have a chance, definitely try it and even share your own creations! I'd love to try others guests creations! 🤤 Thank you to the Chef for letting me do this definitely will order it again!

Google
I think I just had the best burger of my LIFE!!! The White Truffle burger with Aioli sauce was amazing! Hash was our server and he was so pleasant and explained their menu to us. Tosh, one of the owners came over and introduced herself to us and made us feel at home here in Grand Rapids. Run! Don’t stop and come to Nonla Burger!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Emma T.

Yelp
I stopped in here for a quick burger and it was a nice surprise. I got a veggie burger with French fries. The burger was delicious, though I opted out of the Nola sauce. They have a daily milkshake flavor and it was mudslide! Absolutely tasty!! The menu is pretty small but the items I had were delicious. There is plenty of room to sit inside and they have drag shows! It's a cool modern space with a great burger!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed it. One of the owners sat us and gave us the entire run down of the menu and her favorites. The ordering was a little confusing because we kinda had a server, but some people were ordering at the counter, but the table had a QR code. Once she didn't come back for a little bit, we decided to place our order with the QR code, since we were in a rush. The food arrived pretty quickly and it was delicious. The hot chicken sandwich tasted just like classics in Nashville. The fries were great and one of ours was Nonla Style, and we loved that too. I was hoping to try their special strawberry shake, but it wasn't available on the QR for some reason, so we let her know and she apologized. Overall, super fast casual and great food. The staff were all super friendly and took great care of us. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Great food, friendly service, affordable prices. What more could you ask for? Love their daily specials

Tammy D.

Yelp
Their crispy hot chicken taco is amazing! This same taco won the Grand Rapids taco competition and I had to get it again when I saw it on their specials today! They fry the corn tortilla which gives it the same texture as an elephant ear and then dusts it in Parmesan cheese for added flavor. Inside the taco is hot crispy chicken, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese and spicy ranch dressing making it a mouthwatering taco experience!

Yelp
I really like Nonla Burger. Been there 3x so far in the past few months, and always had a good experience here. Our first visit we tried the Double Cheese and the Chicken Sandwich - both were really good. The fries here are really good as well, and go some of that extra sauce on the side. We also tried the onion rings - very crispy good and not greasy. That visit went very well so we went back soon after for another go at the Double Cheese - and got the same result. A really good burger that held up well. Ask for extra onions and I got it - - that was awesome. The service here was also superb. Forgot her name but she was really helpful and accommodating, even gave me the history of the meaning of "Nonla" which was impressive. She was like the Ambassador of Nonla. This is kinda like the In-N-Out of GR, and I think Nonla is even better. Quality is very good, the pricing here is very competitive and affordable. I think this would be a regular go-to place for my burger and chicken cravings if I lived closer to the area. I've already recommended Nonla to several locals - most of which have heard of them and want to try. Very pleased with the quality of their food and the service.

Kim N.

Yelp
The best burger ever! Pleasantly surprised when we stopped in for restaurant week! Was absolutely delicious, and great service too!

J M.

Yelp
Ordered the double patty w cheese egg & the nonla fries. I have to say that it was mediocre @ best. Wendy's would have been cheaper & tastier. The hand cut fries were cold & just ok hardly any sauce. The blk & white shake was very good tho

Megan H.

Yelp
This was my first time here, and let me say that I was completely blown away! I love the location, the fact that there are multiple areas to sit at, and the way they do their ordering! Basically, you come in and get sat. On the table is a QR code to scan that will let you order and pay! The food is then brought to you. It was so easy, super quick, and the server was very helpful with explaining everything since we hadn't been there before. I was so shocked at the prices too! Probably the cheapest burger besides fast food that I've ever had, and the quality was not lacking! There were so many options in terms of toppings, and the side of fries we got was massive! There were also other foods besides burgers, so I plan on returning to give those a try too. Overall, I love how quick and simple the food was but how cheap and quality it was at the same time!

Emily J.

Yelp
I'm a little behind.... (as you can probably tell from the snow in the outdoor pic ) but we FINALLY tried Nonla Burger! We all tried both the burgers and the chicken sandwiches to get the full effect. They might have burger in their name but..... their chicken sandwich is truly a showstopper Drinks and sandwiches are such a vibe- especially when the drinks include things like a boozy orange julius! We loved the fast casual service- order at the front or from a QR code, and get your food brought out to you. The perfect Friday night spot!

Whitney T.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Overall, I love the whole idea of this retro burger establishment. The food for the price was pretty good, even better when you go during happy hour. Wings: 9/10 I love the breading of the wings and the sauce was pretty good too, but they are pretty rich. Nonla Way Fries: 10/10 I think this is the must get item. The fries has a very nice little crunch, nicely salty, but the sauce and toppings made it amazing! It was a little bit sweet, tangy, and spicy from the jalapeños. It definitely is very similar to In-and-Out animal style fries. Cheeseburger: 7.5/10 The ingredients are super fresh and the bun has a nice texture, but the singular patty didn't bring much flavor. I would probably get the N.B Double instead next time. +1 There are peppers you can grab next to the self-serve soda machines! The service was amazing! All the staff there was so kind and the food comes out fast. Especially the waitress I had, I didn't get a name but she made my experience amazing! The ambiance there was also amazing! I love the retro theme and the decor. I feel like this place took a lot of time and consideration when it came to decorating. Nothing looked plain and everything felt so alive! Overall I would definitely recommend to anyone who's looking for a place that is similar to In-and-Out or wants pretty good cheap food in Grand Rapids.

Michael E.

Yelp
Solid burger place in Grand Rapids! I was suggested this place by my Uber driver and he was absolutely right, hands down a delicious burger! If this was in my town, I would absolutely be going back to this place over and over. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries and both were awesome Highly recommend checking this place out and will be sad to not have it again for who knows how long

Yelp
After getting a few drinks on a night out, my sister and I were looking for somewhere to grab some food. We both have been wanting to try Nonla Burger, so we thought this was the perfect time to! We were able to choose our own seats and you have the option of either ordering at the front or ordering from your phone which I thought was convenient! I ordered the crispy chicken sando and a side of fries and my sister ordered the nem nuong burger (they have a different special item everyday!) and they were all so delicious! The chicken was super crispy and the fries were well seasoned! Next time I will definitely have to get the Nonla way fries!

Ashley M.

Yelp
Grand Rapids loves Nonla- and for good reason! Their food, quality, and service is always consistent. Price points are still incredibly affordable compared to other options, especially in our current economy. Nonla's vegetarian options are delicious. The Hot (faux) Chicken Sandwich I ordered last night was fantastic and the fries are always fresh and hot and tasty. Craveable, solid burger and sandon options done right.

Adam B.

Yelp
I came here with a work group and it was great! The service was friendly and helpful. I know large groups can be difficult to accommodate but they handled our group of 14 splendidly! The ambiance was bright and open with pretty art and nice furnishings. The burger was amazing! I got a double cheeseburger and it was done up perfectly. The Nonla-way fries were also really delicious! Finally, the prices, I was surprised at the value for what I got. Well worth it! Give this place a whirl next time you're near GR's Westside!

Becca K.

Yelp
So good! Had the burger the first and second time coming to Nonla, because I enjoyed it so much the first time. Tried the chicken sandwich the third time and was blown away. SO GOOD! Definitely one of my favorite spots in GR. The fries are delicious, too!

Sarah S.

Yelp
Came her for lunch for the first time. Was pleasantly surprised how spacious it was. Ordered the single hamburger and fries to go. Started pouring rain, and I decided to sit at the bar to wait it out. Service was excellent and friendly. The burger had lettuce, onion, tomato, and their Nonla sauce (mix of ketchup and Mayo). It was good...better than culvers?...ill leave that up to you burger experts. Fries are hand cut and came in a small boat. Everything was tasty, and I look forward to bringing my husband and 2 kids as the place is very kid and family budget friendly. Chicken sando is also on the menu, as well as, brussel sprouts app, adult beverages, and some daily specials. Looked like chicken tacos were a special the day I went in (Wed). Will visit again.

Yelp
6 of us popped into Nonla for a late night snack. Menu has expanded, mostly on the drinks end. My buddy got the Boozy Milk shake! Fries and burger both awesome. Side note, the pickles they serve are roughly diced, beware! Excited to go this summer when the patio/doors are open.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this place out as it opened up near where my bf lives:) Walked in and noticed a really cool and spunky atmosphere inside. We were seated quickly and were told we could use a QR code to order or we could go up to the counter. The menu consists of mostly burgers and chicken sandwiches. They have fries and you can get them the "Nonla way" which has melted cheese, grilled onions, jalapeños, cilantro, and Nonla spread. I didn't try that this time but would like to the next time I stop in. The fries by themselves were pretty good! I was very close to ordering the Beyond Veggie Burger Meal, but noticed they have a plant based chicken so I definitely wanted to try that out. Ended up getting the Hot Chicken Sando with the plant based chicken which only costs $2 more than normal. To be completely honest with you, it was so good and almost fooled me and I couldn't believe it was plant based haha! The crispy texture of the outside and the juicy inside was just so on point. It had mayo, pickles, and chili oil. The chili oil gave this sandwich quite a bit of heat but the mayo and pickles really balanced it out well. I really love how simple the menu is here and how every person working there was extremely helpful and sweet. They music, the atmosphere, and vibe in general were all so great. I will come back again for sure.:)

Yelp
What an amazing place - best spot in GR. Great menu and food selection, the burgers remind me of classic south Cali but better - IYKYN. Service was awesome - owner was even there - working. Vibe and atmosphere are amazing as well.

Matt A.

Yelp
Unfortunately I didn't get a picture from my visit to GR but I could see why GR loves Nonla as Ashley M put it, I thought it was pretty good it reminds me of a less smashed 7th street burger in NY which is one of my favorite chains, I felt like the quality of ingredients in the burger plus the sauce were high for an extremely reasonable price, nothing was out of the way. It's a good simple burger and I think we need more of those.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
After stalking their IG, I knew after they posted their burger special (a croissant burger.. yum!!) I had to go. It's been on my list but this just pushed this to the top. Luckily, it was a Wednesday night so downtown wasn't too packed and we found parking just around the corner. A little snowy rain always keeps people away which made going in very easy! We were promptly greeted and seated with paper menus that looked like placemats, and were instructed that you could order online or order at the counter. Strangely enough, there was no QR code on the menu provided that I was a bit confused how we would even do it, how they'd associate it with our table, etc - but user error.... it was on the napkin holder that was blocked by the ketchup bottle. Once we noticed the error of our ways, we immediately logged on to order. It was VERY simple and happy that it attached to our table. The online order system is through Toast Tab and I love that you can continue to add more to your order and not have to cash out with each transaction. One note - we came because of the special burger - and I wish they had the option to "make it a combo" online. I'm not sure if the counter customer service would be available to do that but when we manually calculated the burger, fries and a fountain pop, it definitely was more expensive than one of the other combo options. We only wanted to split an order of fries to try and each have a drink, so it worked out either way, but cost wise - hopefully they can give a little discount for making it a combo like other places, but either way, it's still extremely reasonable! Between my friend and I, we ordered the croissant burger, the hot chicken sando combo (came with a side of fries and a fountain drink) and an extra fountain drink. It came out within like 10 minutes of ordering directly to our table and was still warm and delicious! While the croissant burger was a little greasy but doesn't really deter you at all. The only thing I would have loved was a little bit more of a yolk break on the egg but that's a personal preference. The hot chicken sando was FANTASTIC though. Not overly greasy and actually a little spicier than I anticipated (in the best of ways). The fries were very good as well. It's a really simple menu and I really loved my experience and luckily, I didn't have a bad thing there! I just want to go back to try more.

David F.

Yelp
Let me just say - the dine in experience is far superior than the delivery option. The fresh food and friendly service are top notch - plus the prices are absolutely unbeatable! Where else can you get a fresh burger for less than $5?! The theming feels straight out of the late 70s/early 80s complete with arcade games and nostalgic tunes that will take you back to a simpler time.

Yelp
Originating in Kalamazoo, Nonla Burger just opened a location in Grand Rapids on the busy Bridge Street. Their specialties are crispy chicken sandwiches, burgers, and fries. The menu is concise and they do these classics well. They also have a daily milkshake and a food special of the day. I was really hoping to see more Vietnamese influenced options, as they used to have a more Vietnamese-centric menu at one of their Kzoo area locations. Hopefully they can bring some of those items back in the future. You can get your food "Nonla way" with grilled onions, jalapenos, cilantro, and cucumbers, so there is a bit of Vietnamese influence there. Just wish they had more! Upon entering, we were given menus and told we could sit wherever. They also said we could order using the QR code at the table, or order at the iPad at a different counter. I think it's nice to have an option for those who might not want to order in person. They were doing plenty of takeout orders as well - you can order online ahead of time and swing by to pick up your food. I've been to the Burdick Street location in Kalamazoo before, so I'd already tried most of the menu. That location is a lot smaller and more of a takeout type place, whereas the GR location is large with plenty of seating. We got the single NB cheeseburger meal that comes with fries and a drink, as well as the hot chicken sando. Our food came out pretty quickly and everything was hot and fresh. The chicken sando was super crispy, but not at all spicy. I like the chopped pickles. The burger was probably my favorite of the two, with a juicy patty, a nicely toasted bun, and crisp lettuce and fresh toppings. The fries were perfectly seasoned and fried well. They are waiting on a liquor license as they just opened within the past week or two, and their fountain pop machine was out of order but they had cans of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, etc. Ordering via the QR code was a little problematic for me as I forgot to cash out until after we had left! Definitely make sure to close our your tab after ordering. It's easy to do because it's through Toast and they text you a link to access your bill, or you can do it through the Toast app. They have a little area with some arcade games like Ms. Pac Man and a candy claw machine. I also loved the mini foosball table in one of the corners. Nonla Burger is a nice casual spot to grab a burger in this area. Pricing was decent and I'll be back!

Olivia Y.

Yelp
Nonla burgers has been great!! I have now been here twice and feel ready to review. Food: delicious burgers (though not quite as buttery as culvers) that are more smash style, this is the closest thing to "in and out" I feel like we have here in the Midwest. The meals come with a very generous amount of fries. My husband tried the chicken sando his second trip here and the pickled veggies were a great nod to their Vietnamese roots. No gluten free buns but lettuce wraps will do! Ambiance: a lot of space, very family friendly with great high chairs. Modern, clean, bright. Value: great price point for the meal that comes with fries and a drink! Parking: street parking or paid lot parking. Can can be tricky/busy given the popular area. We will be back!

Sandy T.

Yelp
I would dub this place as a Midwest in-and-out, but less grease. Semi-fast food situation with the cheaper prices and self-ordering by QR code at your seat. Menu is short and simple. I got the cheeseburger which had more lettuce than patty, but I liked the fresh crunch that the lettuce added. The nonla style sauce on the fries could've been meltier, but otherwise good. I'd come here again.

Mahree J.

Yelp
The food tasted fresh and the atmosphere was chill. The shake of the day was so yummy.

Laurie B.

Yelp
We found this restaurant on a whim while looking for a quick lunch before a conference. I'm so glad we stopped in. The burgers were excellent! The fries- delicious! Our service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was fun and enjoyable. Payment and ordering was super easy! So glad we found it and popped in!

Devin C.

Yelp
I ate a lot of food. The olive burger was the special of the day, so of course I had to try it as I like olives. The burgers were cooked well and the bun was buttered and fluffy, about as good as it can get. The olive toppings were something I enjoyed greatly - it gave the burger a strong olive taste and provided a nice crunch to every bite. This is certainly an item I would buy again. The crispy chicken sando was decent - I wouldn't buy it again but it was still pretty good. The piece of breaded chicken was absolutely massive and they got it just right - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The topping were... a bit odd? The sauce tasted good and I enjoyed the heat of the jalapeños, but the carrots, cucumber, and cilantro were a tad bit overwhelming for my taste. Finally, the wings were a good end to the meal. They really took jumbo to heart with these things - you get 4 massive wings (2 drums 2 flats). Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce was sweet and spicy, reminded me of Asian Zing from Buffalo Wild Wings. It was garnished with peanuts and green onion, couldn't taste them at all but it looked pretty. I'm not a huge fan of wings but I enjoyed these. I'd say this restaurant is on the same level as other upscale fast food joints such as Culver's. I'd come here again if their daily special was something that sounds good (they have some REALLY cool creations).

Yelp
Was visiting the John Ball Zoo, and took a break to venture nearby for some food. Wanted simple American food & landed here! Wasn't disappointed! Decent prices, fresh fries, and cute environment. Had outdoor seating and an open front garage door. Would recommend!

Tyler K.

Yelp
Whether you're here from out of town or live here you must head over to NONLA Burger and get your self a bit to eat. Hands down the best local burger joint! This place has amazing specialty items that are sometimes over the top darn tootn amazingly good. The owners are also. Wry nice people and you can sometimes spot them working and helping out. The decor is nice and welcoming as well as the staff. They also have boozy milkshakes and boozy and non boozy orange Julius. This place even won for best taco by a blind taste test! Now is that doesn't scream one of a kind then I don't know what does. The burgers are good and I think they have the best chicken and spicy chicken sandwich around!!!. So what are you waiting for!? Get your self down to Bridge St. and go check out this Michigan locally own restaurant! You will not be disappointed!

Susan M.

Yelp
Cute diner feel. Easy to order, right from phone or at the counter. Quick friendly service. Got the cheese burger and it was tasty with a nicely grilled bun. Burger patty was good sized. Nice flavor. Nothing epic but a very good burger for a reasonable price. Service was darn good also. I'd like to come back to try the chicken sando's.

Alanya S.

Yelp
the best burger/sandwich place ever. I always try to drive out of my way just to come here! I'm obsessed with the Hot Chicken Sando!! Everything else on the menu is pretty good but i always run back to the Hit Chicken Sando. I love how the place looks and gives good vibes. The service is great & helpful with everything from the start. They always of some special of the day that look amazing and when I get the chance to come to Nonla to try the special, it's amazing! 10/10!

Jahan W.

Yelp
The burgers were great! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The wings were not hot enough for me( temperature). Fries were good too. The Nona sauce paired well with the fries. The staff was helpful and very kind. The decor is cool with some retro video games.

Chris H.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is described as 50's retro meets modern. Yes and No. I'd say it's more late 60's to early 70's retro meets modern. Either way it's a fun environment. You either order on the phone or at the counter and they'll bring it out when done. I Ordered the Nonla Burger Double Meal ($11.50) which is a Double patty, double cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and Nonla spread) served with handcut fries and a fountain drink. I added bacon ($1.50) and added Nonla spread ($1), which is fries topped with cheese, grilled onions, jalapenos, cilantro and Nonla spread. I was worried at first that the patties were too small at 3oz. However I found the burger very satisfying and filling. Overall I very much enjoyed the burger. I normally prefer plump burgers, but these may be my new favorite thin burgers. The Fries I found to be very ehh. There as a filler, nothing more. I wanted a shake, however they only have 1 flavor a day. I really wish they had Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, and a flavor a day. Oh well! The person I was with also had the N.B. Double, however without cheese or bacon and just normal fries. She very much enjoyed her burger and unlike me found the fries addicting. The staff was very friendly. Overall a 5 star review. Would I return? Yes, good burger and I'd love to try a Chocolate Shake.

Power Y.

Yelp
Because of its lower price point and their burgers tend to come out consistent it gets a 4. But if I were looking for a knock out burger this place wouldn't even be considered in my top 5 places to eat in nearby GR. Maybe a top 10 or 11. But nothing bad about it just a burger. And nothing to really talk about other than well I didn't break the bank. Customer service however was good and the cleanliness looked good too.

Yelp
Best burger in GR!! I enjoy the fact that you can order from your phone. Fair prices, a good selection of food, friendly staff. Highly recommend

Yelp
My first time to Nonla Burger! I was impressed with how much space the place had - plenty of seating. The service was fast and the food was fresh. I ordered the hamburger meal which basically makes your drink free because it would have been about the same price if I'd purchased the hamburger and fries separately. The Nonla sauce wasn't super memorable but it was good. My husband ordered the Nonla fries and a double cheeseburger -- he said he probably could've went with the single so it's filling for sure! The ordering was super easy - you can either do it from your table with the QR code or up at the register. The drinks are available via fountain machine and then they have a "shake of the day" which I was much too full to try but it sounded delicious. The fries were freshly cut and tasted just like the kind you'd get at the fair but less greasy. The burger was very tasty, perfectly cooked and the bun had a nice little char to it. I liked how the onion was lightly grilled and then the lettuce was crisp and fresh. As mentioned, the Nonla sauce wasn't overpowering and then the tomato was a nice touch to top it off. Next time, i plan to try either the wings or the chicken club. Oh...and a shake!

Yelp
A good new addition to the Westside restaurant scene. Dined with some co-workers for lunch during the week and thought it was a good option for burgers and fries. Easy to order via phone right from your table, quick service, nice customer service - but not really a spot I'd make a destination for dinner. The burgers are what this place is all about. If you're not getting a burger... go somewhere else. The burgers are saucy and delish. The fries are average. Good, but nothing to write home about. The side salad is hilarious. Mixed greens in a pre packaged container. And actually, the dressing that also comes in a side plastic dish - they had made it wrong (after I tasted it and sent it back) - they accidentally made it with salt instead of sugar. But it's sub par. Internal vibe is fun - bright, open, airy, fun. They do have a kids menu if needed and could be a fun spot with the family. In short... go for lunch. Get a burger. And you'll be a happy camper!

Yelp
Been seeing people post about this place for years now, even mentioning that one owner was Asian? I don't really remember the details but since it was in Kalamazoo a city I never go to, I never got to try it out. Then I saw it being built up on Bridge St. Stopped by for lunch yesterday as I was picking up groceries at Bridge St Market. Ambience/Decor. Place is pretty big, has some arcade machines too. Kinda get a feeling that I'm in an urban diner type place. Ordering was kinda weird. You have to wait to be seated, then when you're seated they give you a menu but also tell you, you can order through the QR menu or back at the counter after having got seated. Kind of a weird routine, I would just order first then go sit down. Menu. Simple. Affordable. Combos. I liked the variety too. Beef and Chicken. Food. I ordered the wings, which were tossed in a Vietnamese fish sauce glaze? This dish is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes so I was excited but this version didn't do Justice. The wings tasted like they have been par cooked then refry. Which is fine but you have to store it properly to endure freshness when you refry. The sauce tasted like a watered down version. Maybe it's because mine didn't get coated the way I would have wanted them To be. The addition of peanuts was cool but not sure if it contributed to the overall profile of the app. For the fries, I got a side with Nonla Way toppings. Think of Animal Style from in and out. The house sauce, onions, jalapeños, cheese, it all tasted amazing but what didn't make this dish was the fries. Just your regular 3/8" cuts. They just seemed boring to me. Now the burger! I ordered the NB Double. Two Pattie's. All the fixings. It was pretty good. Looked very pretty and tasted good too. The bun was buttery which I tasted in every bite. The beef was good too. Not set, not greasy. Everything worked together. Was it a standout? No. Is it one of the best burgers in town? No. Is it good? Yes. And I'm thankful they opened up in GR to let us all have a chance to try it. Will revisit once they have been running for a while.

Yelp
Was finally able to have a meal here and it will be a staple for us! Loved that you can order at the register or from the QR code right on the table. We ordered from the QR code and it was totally customizable which was an added bonus! We received our food very fast and it was cooked perfectly. The prices are similar to a fast food restaurant but food is much better! The burgers including the veggie burger were so well seasoned but not overpowering. The serving of fries was a heaping amount and very good! We loved the vibe of the restaurant with the art on the walls and magazine cut outs. It wasn't very busy when we went however I would imagine the service would be great even on a busy night!

Yelp
i got the crispy chicken sando while my bf got the hot chicken sando. we liked everything! i do think my chicken was on the drier side, but the ranch and pickled veggies helped it not be so dry. shake of the day was strawberry cheesecake, but i didn't taste anything that made it cheesecake-like. the shake came to me frozen, so i think they make them beforehand and store them. i still loved it because i ate it like ice cream!! if you want it softer like a shake, you'll have to wait for it to thaw for a while. service was nice! you go up to the counter to order or order at ur table by phone. the place is clean and bright. very chill place, will come again!

Yelp
Service was great! Ambiance was cute! However, the food was mid. I got a cheeseburger and fries. Would have rather gone to Culvers.

Yelp
Being from Kalamazoo and familiar with this restaurant from Kalamazoo, I can't begin to share the excitement to learn they are in GR. This place is outstanding! If you are familiar with In n Out in California, this place is very similar. I recommend trying!

Yelp
Food was delicious! Reasonable prices, also have a killer weekly feature. Service was quick, food took only about 10-15 mins. Only thing I wanted was an Adult Beverage ‍ Woot it

Yelp
Classic burger joint with a contemporary feel. This place in West Grand Rapids is trendy and certainly feels like it belongs in a bigger city. The atmosphere is cool and laid back. You can order from the QR code or walk up and order from the counter. But YOU are here for the food! And my first bite of the burnin burger was spicy divine joy. Great presentation and fresh and flavorful. That double patty goodness with sauces and toppings was just a solid 10/10 yum. The Nonla Fries are a little underwhelming, I think it's the American cheese single. I would recommend just ordering a side of fries with a preferred dipping sauce. Also they don't salt the fries, allowing you to decide your own sodium intake which I do not mind. I want to go back already! Cool and casual with superb burgers!

Yelp
All hail Nonla. Bringing In-N-Out style burgers and (animal) fries to the Midwest. I've had their burgers, fried chicken sandwich, fries, side salad - all delicious. Go here.

Yelp
We ordered takeout on a Saturday night and it was literally ready in 10 minutes even though we had a huge order! The speedy service was great! Also, everything we ordered was outstandingly delicious! The fried chicken sando, hot chicken sando, hot honey brussels, Nonla way fries and of course the double cheeseburger were all fan favorites at our house! I should also mention the great value Nonla offers, we ordered all this food in the pictures for $50! This is almost unheard of in Grand Rapids and the food was actually fantastic at that price level. We will be back many more times, this place is a winner.
