Before I even get into anything else, We need to Talk about the Chef, Finn. The man is one of the, no, actually he is THE best hospitality professional I have ever met in my life. I cannot praise him enough. I have never seen a chef so in love with the art of hospitality the way he is. Most chefs do not interact with guests the way he does. Also, the food here is the best food you will eat on Long Island. (It's probably some of the best food you will eat period) I stand firmly behind this. This is not the formulaic pedestrian menu with salmon, chicken, steak and a burger checking off the boxes to appeal to the generic masses. This is however, a symphony of incredible, delicious, dishes- stunningly executed. The food is extremely high level, yet also approachable. So if you are a person who wants fine dining quality food without the pomp and circumstance and pretense, this is the place for you. If you want to be in a trendy space that is also warm and welcoming this is the place for you. It is levels above anything else anywhere on both Northfork and The Southfork. It is also shockingly well priced. As a New York City transplant who lives with a trained chef, this is the only restaurant I actually feel is worth going out to eat within a 40 mile radius. You can taste how much the Chef loves what he does and how much he wants you to be there. I am done settling for less than that anywhere else, and being served low effort uninspired meals.
