Over-rated, over-priced for what is offered. Public spaces are beautiful and maintained, but the rooms could do with a complete overhaul--hallway carpet is worn, had to step over an electric wire taped across the carpet. Two of my party had to be moved due to the safe doors falling off and a leaking toilet. On two of our three nights we were not left ANY towels, could not call guest services as the in-room phone did not work. Walked up to concierge and they did not even apologize. No USB ports in room. Wait to check in is too long to warrant 5 stars. On the plus side--the dining areas and pool bar are beautiful and the staff is welcoming and professional. Property has a spectacular location with stunning views--but they cannot depend on that alone to merit a 5 star rating. Do better.

Friendly staff and a clean hotel on the water. The rooms are very nice but they could use some regular maintenance. The safe didn't work and there was no USB charging available. The ground floor rooms, facing the water are convenient to access the pool area, but you give up any sense of privacy as the windows are non mirrored and only slightly tinted. There are dining areas within a few feet of the sliding glass wall/door. If you keep the blinds closed for privacy, you are left with a dark room as the lighting is designed to compliment the sunlight. The mall is next door which is convenient. The included breakfast was delicious, zero complaints. The hotel felt clean and safe.

- The infrastructure needs an upgrade as some wear and tear is now apparent in the rooms. The safe in my room was broken, and it seemed it was not the only one. - The service was average. Staff were dismissive and curt at best, with only a few exceptions. Special mention to Kisito, a fantastic member of the hospitality staff servicing the conference we hosted. - Suitcases are opened and manually inspected on arrival by 2 male members of security. I found this intrusive. I suggest they invest in an x-ray monitor and add female officers for this purpose. - There is 1 Porter per shift which limits his availability to serve large groups of incoming or outgoing guests. Also, as cars cannot approach the hotel entrance for security reasons, they should promptly offer to carry guests' luggage to and from the cars on the available trolleys. Instead, each time, this had to be specifically requested by guests.

Had this hotel booked for months. Choosen for the location next to sea and gorgeous pool for a relaxing 6 night break. Only to find out that the hotel do not think you should be able to use the facilities you pay for and instead cover the pool and form a stage and make the area totally unusable for 4 nights of our stay. Not what you expect from a high standard hotel.

Rooms need to be refurbished as many have said but the most frustrating is that they advertise rooms that don’t exist. I booked the Premium room with sea view and terrace which is advertised with a picture of a beautiful bath tub and in the room details says ‘hot tub / spa’. None of this is true. And when I complained they said there’s only 2 rooms that look like that picture and if I had wanted it, I should have specified when I booked. Was a very frustrating start to an otherwise ok stay

Living on its past glory. Rooms are dying to be refreshed and updated, safes don't work in most rooms. Lifts don't work so well. Could do with a refurb. Other than that staff are amazing, friendly and courteous. Breakfast is good with a nice variety.

I came for a meal. A can of tuna and melted cheese on a frozen pizza crust is acceptable in the developing world, but not at a Raddison. Service was worse than the pizza. How can 9 staff members behind the bar not be able to serve 7 guests efficiently? My Perrier tasted delicious and the ocean breeze was nice and where is my check?

Unfortunately, and apart from a magnificent exterior, the hotel is largely overrated! Like many places in Dakar, it’s much much too expensive in relation to the services offered! Service: 5/10 Cocktails: 5/10 Food: 5/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Prices: ridiculous
