A beautiful restaurant with dining area up top, separated from a lively bar on the street level. At first we were seated towards the back and just didn't feel part of the restaurant, but they were nice enough to move us when we requested to.
Not an inexpensive restaurant but some great food options and tasting plates. We started with seafood tapas, the selection will vary. But we received 4 different servings: a prawn, tuna tartare, scallops and cuttlefish. I would say I liked all except the prawn which was a bit fishy (and difficult to share). But even my 9 year old nephew enjoyed them all. My favorite was clearly the tuna. For dinner my sister had the Yellowfin tuna and I chose to local specialty, Moreton Bay Bug. You had 4 different options of how it was cooked and I chose ginger, shallots and coriander. One of the most popular. It's served with all the proper utensils and a side of Jasmine Rice. Although, the rice was in such a small ball, it was kind of hard to add the crustacean pieces to the rice bowl, but if I'd added the rice to the Crustacean serving bowl, it would have simply disappeared. End of day, I was messy, but didn't really care.
For dessert we stuck with another tasting platter. The tasting platter consisted of a small taste of all the desserts except the Souffle and Cheese platter. Definitely easy to split by 2, they weren't that small. The chocolate sphere was probably my favorite with the saltiness of the caramel and tartness of the freeze dried raspberry.
Only downside was the service was a bit slow and nearly impossible to get the attention to pay our bill. Not the best ending, but still a wonderful dinner.
