Noosa River Holiday Park

We were camping at Noosa River Holiday Park this past weekend. The location is excellent however there were definitely some things that were lacking. We would visit again for sure but some small improvements could make the experience much better. This time of year the park is at capacity and consequently the toilet/shower blocks needed more attention than they were receiving. EG. the soap dispenser was empty, paper towels ran out and toilets needed cleaning. The campsites by the river, whilst having a really beautiful outlook, are fairly poor in comparison to the many other camp sites we’ve stayed at, including in the Noosa Shire. They are not on level ground so for those of us who camp a lot, we know how it is when you and your camp mattress keep slipping down a slope to the edge of the tent. Not ideal. There were also exposed trees roots which again make tenting a challenge (remember the fairytale of the princess and the pea - same principle with tree roots 😊). I think that these issues could be rectified fairly easily, perhaps with small timber retaining walls and sand to build up the sites. 🤷‍♀️ As I wrote above, we would definitely come back as the location is excellent and the river views beautiful. However feedback can be useful, especially if it is acted upon, so this feedback is offered in that spirit. 🙏

Absolutely lovely location with great faclities. Double slab sites, beautiful surrounds and gardens. The staff really know how to look after you, great people. Right on the river with a beach. A short walk to Noosa Heads. Loved our stay so much we booked for next year. 10 out of 10.

Absolutely the loveliest place to camp. Clean facilities, great office staff, the most awesome camp kitchen by the river, quiet campers!

I had a very unpleasant stay at this location. We were allocated to camp in a parking lot, the place was completely covered with leaves and dirt. But the worst part was that there was an AWFUL smell coming from the dump point that was next to us, so awful that we couldn’t even eat there without feeling sick. The staff said that they couldn’t change us as they were fully booked, understandable. But I asked for a compensation, as I was paying 80 dollars per night to camp in such unpleasant and dirty smell, they offered me an ice cream instead. 😅 Just unbelievable.

This is a great caravan park. Right on the river. There are big caravan spot. The toilet/shower are amazing. The only thing if you’re tall the shower heads are low. Close to everything you want need. Good walking/bike riding so close. And not sure why. But we stay 2 nites and the no vacations sign was up. It was not full at all.

Great park, perfect location. Often difficult to get a booking because of its popularity, but we did manage two gorgeous days there.

Had such a great stay at Noosa River Holiday Park! The park is clean, well kept and in a perfect spot with great beach access. A special shout-out to Courtney who was absolutely amazing, and to Maureen for fitting us in on our first night. Courtney was super friendly, helpful and went out of her way to make sure we were looked after, not only in extending our stay, but also on the daily. Little things like that really made the time there feel easy and relaxed. Definitely will be back!

The nicest and most relaxed caravan park we stayed at during our trip from Cairns to Brisbane. Check in quite easy, office open until 5pm, after which time the safe will hold your key and welcome pack with amenities codes. There isn't a shop/bottle shop terribly nearby so would recommend stocking up before arriving, otherwise it is about a 20m walk to the nearest Dan Murphy's and perhaps 15m walk to a convenience store. Camp shop behind reception sells some things (e.g. Tim tams) in office hours. Beautiful setting on the river. You can watch boats go by and there's a boat and jet ski hire place a short 10m walk away. Bathroom and laundry facilities are good and there's plenty of 24 hour laundry hanging space. The laundry needs $5 in 1 and 2 dollar coins to operate. Dryer is $2. Sites are good and spacious so plenty of room to park and spread out. Kitchens are good though do not leave anything in the kitchen overnight not labelled, as it will be thrown out pretty sharpish even if it was by accident or to donate to other campers! Very relaxed and communal layout and feel so we enjoyed the atmosphere and our stay here
