We stayed at the Noosa Sun Motel for four nights in early April 2025 as part of a memorable 37 day visit to Australia. We were initially attracted to the property by it’s location, positive reviews and reasonable rates and we were not disappointed. The location was ideal for us, adjacent to the Noosa River in Noosaville, just a short (and incredibly inexpensive) bus ride or 25 minute ferry ride from the hustle and bustle of nearby Noosa Heads and the deservedly renowned Noosa Beach and Noosa National Park with its great trails. There is a tranquility in Noosaville that we found both relaxing and energizing and we enjoyed several of the fine restaurants within walking distance of the Noosa Sun. As to the Noosa Sun itself, the term “motel" is misleading; it is in fact a small complex of spacious, nicely furnished and very clean apartments. We were in unit 14, a light-filled second story apartment overlooking the Noosa River; it included a comfortable bedroom with a king-size bed; a compact and recently renovated bathroom; a living room with a sofa and table and chairs, adjoined by a well-equipped kitchenette; and a modest balcony with table and chairs overlooking the Noosa River. The Noosa Sun also provides covered parking, a nice swimming pool area and communal laundry facilities which we appreciated. We very much enjoyed not just our accommodations, but the warm welcome, generous support, restaurant advice and positive energy of our hosts, the dynamic duo of Jackie and Darren, who made our stay in Noosa even more memorable. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it, particularly to those planing a longer stay and/or wanting to be near but not be part of the Noosa Heads scene.
