We always have the best time here. The drinks are amazing and the service has never been anything but 5 star. The Marbella and Lomo Saltado are the combination to get. Order when you’re at the pool because you will have the best time. Frank is one of the best servers we have ever had. If you thought you should or would not go back please do at least once.

This is the restaurant by the pool, Nopales. It lived up to their reviews…in a bad way. We walked in and were told “we close in an hour…“ as if an hour wasn’t enough time to have a meal? Wasn’t welcoming in any way. Staff was almost discouraging us from deciding to eat there when that is how they greet the guests. The look on their faces, you would have thought we came in 5 mins before closing. We ended up having dinner there and were still out by an hour. Food was good. We visited on 4/26/24

Our first impression of this restaurant is that they want to close early. We were aware of the hours, but it was clear from the staff that they didn't appreciate us coming in 30-50 min before closing. On our second visit, they actually closed stopped service early. I hoped for a better impression being part of this lovely resort.

Nice restaurant with limited but good tasting food. Tacos were delicious and service was quick as well.

Disappointing to say the least. The resort needs a world class makeover to their food and wait staff. Our meal and drinks came all at once after a long wait-no starter guacamole and/or cocktails. The guacamole looked and tasted pre-packaged, the chips were terrible and the quinoa salad with what was suppose to be chicken was unappetizing. I didn’t finish it. The meat looked like leftover chicken bits or something I might give to a pet. The drink came in a half full martini glass and was so strong I had to ask for ice to tame it. I did not finish it. The waitress apologized profusely-to the point of OK enough already. They did not charge for the salad but that is not enough to make me return.

Decided to try the new digs since the $100+ million renovation. The place is cute but the good stops right there. Service was absolutely terrible. The waitress forgot about us. She took our order and literally never saw her again. Different people brought the food. She totally rang in the wrong salad for my wife. The manager brought it. My wife ordered the White Sangria which was say too sweeeeet like a honeysuckle bomb. I ordered the burger, it was GOD AWFUL! Why a company would spend so much in a build out and then order THE CHEAPEST FOOD QUALITY PRODUCTS known to man, in one of the richest zipcides in America is beyond bananas!! I asked for Ketchup, I had a Mexican lady speak no English bring me 20 packets of ketchup being tested on her gut and then just spill them onto the table. I told her to get a bottle. These people don't get it, or seem to care. This place was inadequate. It cost me over $50 for a burger, one drink, and a quinoa salad.

I was a little worried about eating here considering the previous reviews. After speaking with the staff though, they informed me things had changed. The entire place was busy but my food still came in a respectable time line. I had the street tacos and they were pretty good. Not amazing, but I would definitely get them again.

Mediocre, but at least it was disappointing. Wish I'd read the reviews before going--they're accurate. For example, the "Cuban" sandwich is not at all a Cuban. It's similar ingredients slapped on a hoagie roll--not "new idea," just plain lazy. Service looked acceptable if and only if you were in a big group--I was not and suffered accordingly. I ate 20%, tipped 10% and vowed never to return. Please learn from my mistake.

Yelp
I really don't like leaving 1 and 2 star reviews an am normally guided by yelp on places to try so it's rare Ineed to. That said I'm traveling for work an this was one of 2 places open at the hotel I'm at so I sat down and ordered before checking in, or I'm pretty sure I would have opted for grubhub. My cocktail was tasty Fish tacos were horrible, smelled like fish.... FRESH fish does not smell. Zero flavor, dry and edges of the taco were burnt. I couldn't eat them Restaurant was very warm, noticeable so Service was just ok This was shocking, as it is located in an Omni resort My rating rationale +1 Service Food~Taste/flavor/quality Presentation +.5 Atmosphere/vibe +.5 Value

Yelp
Nopales is located in the Omni Creek Barton Park Resort & Spa. I had a wonderful lunch here. The restaurant has a light and airy decor with great views of the beautiful property. It also has an outdoor patio. My friends and I shared the Nopales Nachos with smoked pork to start. It was delicious, especially the roasted corn and lime cream, and plenty for the three of us. I had the Ensalade de Camarones which was so fresh and the presentation with all its colors made it all the more appetizing! The Cilantro Lime Dressing was perfect for the salad and I would order this again and again. Service was excellent, our server was attentive and the employees in general, really seemed to enjoy their jobs. Highly Recommended.

Yelp
I can't leave much of a review...because I didn't eat here. I arrived around 1:05 pm and was told to sit anywhere. I picked a table indoors. I then sat there and waited 10 minutes. Another couple came in and sat next to me and were promptly greeted and given water and menus. I still waited. The server did notice me, though, and after another couple of minutes she greeted me and gave me water and a menu as well. 5 minutes later, she came back and got my order. 30 minutes later, with no further interaction and no food, I got up, found her, and told her to cancel my order. And left, still hungry. But, at least, I got a glass of water. Oh, and the couple who came in after me? They were almost done with their burgers when I gave up and just left.

Yelp
This is, without a doubt, the worst food I've ever eaten at a restaurant. I've had better food at Costco. Even Taco Bell has better "Latin Inspired" food than this place. Their queso is cheese whiz and mayo. Their tostadas are stale Old El Paso shells with with bean dip spread and school cafeteria unmeltable cheese. Don't even pass through from the pool to the hotel or you might drop in food IQ.

Yelp
Service was lovely. Food was very under salted. Mushroom ceviche tasted like canned marinated mushrooms. Potions were huge.

Yelp
It's extremely rare for me to give something a one star review. Almost every place deserves two or more. Nopales was shockingly bad for being inside a resort that's so fantastic. I wasn't expecting much either. It kind of serves as a snack bar for the pool. The service was slow, but that's forgivable because almost everyone is understaffed at the moment. However, the guacamole had turned--it was almost like they had mixed it with sprite. The queso was more like a pudding made of chickpeas and powdered cheese. Absolutely not edible. After the appetizers, we opted to eat dinner elsewhere. As we were walking out, we saw other diners had left full plates of food on the table, including uneaten tostadas that appeared to be bean dip covered in half-sliced cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. I will say the restaurant itself is pretty and cozy. It's laid out well and family-friendly.
