Nord Laboratoire Culinaire was definitely an experience, and a unique one at that. The staff was great and extremely accommodating very good customer service 🙏🏼 The dishes were not quite what I expected, and while the culinary experience was nice, it was not completely my cup of tea. Perhaps we just visited during a month that wasn’t the ideal menu style for my husband and I, as the restaurant changes its menu every month, I believe. Because of the food for us we give a 3.5 ⭐
That being said, there were some dishes we absolutely loved the volaille de veau, it was merveilleux! 🙏🏼 and the salmon over potatoes was fantastic. The Brussels sprouts were also great, though that’s more a matter of personal taste, as not every one likes brussel sprouts. The petonqule really wasn’t my thing, but if you enjoy that type of seafood, I’m sure you would love it. The gnocchi was good and one of the highlights for me was the sauces for each dish; even for the servings I enjoyed a little less, the sauces were amazing and really added to the dishes. I just wish there had been more beef options, especially for meat lovers. They had beef tartare, but for those who prefer their meat cooked, the choices felt a bit limited. While I understand that the monthly menu is designed to work with high-quality seasonal produce, I still felt there weren’t enough meaty options.
The desserts were also good, especially the sauces, which truly made each dish shine. Thank you to Alexander and the whole staff, they were all fantastic, making the experience even more enjoyable.
That said, the restaurant itself is very cute. While some of the dishes weren’t exactly to our taste, the overall experience was memorable 😍🙏🏼
