"Under no circumstances should anyone be put off by the unashamedly dated exterior of this one-time office block. The Sixties are inevitably the new Fifties, and this populist-utopian strain of Sixties modernism is only just now distant enough to be coming back into fashion." - Tablet Hotels

We had a really great stay here. The location is really great. Just across the train station going to the airport. We stayed here for 5 night and it was really convenient for us. We’re still gonna stay here whenever we go back to Stockholm. Great and cozy room. The breakfast was excellent! Really loved it, don’t wanna miss the breakfast everyday.

Very nice hotel for a city break in the beautiful city of Stockholm.||Perfectly placed just 30 seconds from the Arlanda Express terminal at the main train station. Easy walking access to the main attractions - Gamla Stan, and also the main retail areas. ||Reception staff welcoming and helpful. We had a standard deluxe room which is perfect when you’re out and about. Very clean room. Very comfortable bed, clever use of space in the room, and nicely proportioned bathroom. ||Breakfast is excellent. Plenty of choice and tasty. Nice bar for an end of day drink.||The whole place felt calm, nicely designed, and perfect for a city break.

We had a nice experience at Nordic Light Hotel. The staff were friendly and professional during the booking, check-in and during our stay. They provided useful recommendations for dining.||The room was clean and spacious the bed and pillows were comfortable.||Breakfast was good - there were different options available and they were delicious. ||Location is only 5 minutes walk from T-Centralen if you take Flygbussarna and almost right next door if you take Arlanda Express. ||Would definitely stay again at this hotel in the future.

I chose this hotel after long procrastination as always and I am so pleased with my choice. I knew that I would be tired upon arrival so I wanted a hotel near to the Arlanda Express as I was arriving late at night and travelling solo. Stepping off the train and through the hotel reception minutes later was a great start. I was immediately taken with the warming glow of the restaurant where I was told would be where to come for the included breakfast. The rooms are basic but extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, high quality food and such an ambient and warm atmosphere on a cold morning. Such good value for the price i paid.

Great stay and would absolutely stay again. Very clean and modern rooms. Very kind and service-oriented team. Central A/C, as I think is standard for hotels in Stockholm, but kept room comfortably cool even during a quite hot week in the city - follow recommendations in the room to maximize cooling. Comfortable pillows. Great water pressure. Grown Alchemist products! Mattress is on the softer side. The mini bar fridge has a little room if you need to keep something cool but it is not super cold, that may be the only downside of the stay. Dog friendly with a bed, water bowl and treats. Just email or call ahead so they can prepare a dog friendly room for you. Decent cocktails and coffee at the bar downstairs with comfortable seating. Great breakfast. Central location to the trains and the rest of the city - good restaurants, pubs, shopping, groceries all walking distance.

This is a very difficult review to write. Lets start with the positive: the location is perfect, the staff are the best I have ever encountered, service is amazing, the breakfast was fantastic, and almost all details of the room were designed to an incredible standard. Here's the downside, and sadly it is a big one: the beds are awful and make it almost impossible to sleep well. Two small mattresses, with two separate mattress-toppers, are loosely held together by a thin top sheet. These mattresses are placed not on a tight frame, but on a loose plinth. As a result they easily slide apart and away from the wall. As a result once one lies on the (too soft, too bouncy) mattress, one needs to avoid all movement. I did not manage a single good night's sleep in this hotel. Devastating, because everything else was amazing. Only one negative... but such an important one that I would not return. Tragic.

We stayed a weekend at the hotel. We arrived late (02 am) and the check in was very smooth and nice. The location is perfect, just walking distance from the old part of the city. The metro station and the Arlanda express is just 2 minutes walking. There is even a hop on/off sightseeing bus stop in front of the hotel. Breakfast was very complete and good. Service at reception was great. If I come back to Stockholm I will for sure stay at this hotel again.

Just a few meters away from the Arlanda Express (fast train to Stockholm airport). The rooms are modern, but small. Breakfast is included - ample, varied and delicious! Second time staying there!

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here for two nights after our Baltic cruise. The staff is incredibly nice, helpful, and wanting to ensure you have a great stay. We arrived at 11:00 and our room wasn't ready, but there were some in our large group who did check in early and we had a room by 1:00, which is two hours earlier than the guarantee...so no complaints on check-in The rooms are simple and tight, but comfortable clean, and quiet. The bed is quite comfy and I liked the scrunchy pillows. We slept great with our window open to allow for fresh air...I think we were lucky that the late night revelers were not under our window while we slept. The breakfast buffet (included in room price) in the morning is one of the best I've seen in my many years of travel. It rivals the 5-star hotels where you have to pay extra for a buffet with the number of choices this breakfast offered. Everything from as fresh and tasty. You'd have to hate food to dislike this buffet. We had an early flight, day of our checkout so we only enjoyed the buffet once. However, the hotel staff made up to-go breakfast bags for us sent us off with nutritious sandwiches, fruits, and drink. Where do you get that service?!?! The lobby of the the hotel is roomy and very comfortable. There are many places to work, lounge, or read without feeling other guests are too close. It was nice to relax in this hotel. The price of our rooms were ~ $200 per night so I was very pleased with the hotel for all that it offered. It's close to shopping, transportation hubs, and a 20 minute walk to Old Town.

Yelp
The hotel is located in a perfect spot just off the airport train station. The hotel was spotlessly clean, had a great atmosphere, their breakfast was amazing with so many choices! The rooms were a bit small for 2 but it worked just fine.

Yelp
This hotel is located in Stockholm's city centre and is within a short walking distance to the train, metro, and a variety of eateries and shops. The lobby features an on-site restaurant and bar as well as the guest services counter. I arrived a few hours before the check-in time and I was able to store my suitcase free of charge in the hotel's luggage room while I explored the city. The staff members who I interacted with were pleasant and friendly. I had one issue with the room, but the front desk staff offered to fix it immediately. The hotel is in a safe area. Moreover, key cards are required in order to take the elevator to your room. Wifi and the morning breakfast buffet are complimentary. My room was a nice size and I appreciated the provision of slippers to walk around in. Having two full length mirrors in the room allowed me to view my outfits from head to toe. My view was the office building across the street. Not very exciting, but all the more reason to get out and about. The hotel offers an on-site gym, but I didn't use this amenity during my stay. All in all, I had a pleasant experience at the Nordic Light Hotel and I would stay there again.

Yelp
Small cramped rooms, mediocre breakfast with items running out mid meal, worst Wi-Fi we encountered in two weeks of travel. Good location, staff was nice.

Yelp
If I could give 3.5, I would, but didn't think our experience warranted a 4 star rating. The location of the hotel is wonderful, although in a "seedier" part of Stockholm, but that's not American level seedy. The building is less than beautiful, and the front desk wasn't very friendly or accommodating. I thought we had booked the wrong hotel when we walked to our room. The hallways were dark, dingy, and the carpet and walls in need of attention, however the room itself was fantastic. Brand new everything. We ate breakfast downstairs each morning and enjoyed it. We also ate dinner a couple of nights at Lykke...very good. Overall it was a good hotel, but it lacked a few refinements that international travelers expect, especially the customer service. It would be a good second choice hotel for us in the future, if we return to Stockholm.

Yelp
Everything is spot on. The food, the cocktails, the service, the guys at the bar. And the brunch on the weekends is just to top it all off. I had a terrific experience and will visit this place every time I'll visit Stockholm. Keep up the great work.

Yelp
Stayed for two nights -post business trip to explore Stockholm (first visit). Five stars for location, location, location. Room was more than adequate - good size for Europe, breakfast was top-notch (esp. weekdays). Staff was friendly and securely stored my bags on last day prior to flight in order to accomodate additional sight-seeing. Check in/out was fast. Number of stars reduced for: poor bathroom drainage (floor was wet with every shower), exterior straight out of 1970's, television didn't work.

Yelp
Great location Stylish interior & very forgettable exterior Smallish rooms & I echo comments about the poor drainage of the showers Wonderful buffet breakfast However our stay was tarnished by one deeply personal event , my wife felt racially discriminated by a breakfast room server She asked politely where were the glasses to make fresh squeezed orange juice & was told by a worker wearing an apron ( identical to all other employees) I don't know, I don't work here in a very sullen rude manner , it was a 4 sentence conversation so clearly she understood English , 30 seconds later my wife (Asian) observed the same employee actively helping a Caucasian man , hence she felt this was a racial response , so we complained to the front desk & now I must compliment how the young lady behind the desk dealt with our concerns , honestly it couldn't have been handled better , she was concerned , shocked , apologetic & explained the corrective actions she would take & how this would be escalated & corrected , text book perfect customer service !! So however pissed off we feel due to one ignorant employee , we must also compliment one very kind professional & responsive employee, still leaves a bad taste though

Yelp
This was my favorite hotel in Stockholm since around 2000. So when the hotel made a billing mistake and announced it five months later (on my next visit), I would have expected some sort of apology and discount. Any kind of consideration, really. Instead, zero flexibility, a few excuses and a small argument about how I should have known about their mistake. Amazing. So now I'm looking for a nice hotel that values return business.

Yelp
This is a review for the weekend brunch at the crooked leg. Overall the brunch was good, if overpriced. The batter fried fish was excellent as were the scrambled eggs. My brunch mates also enjoyed the grilled chicken and the cold cuts. The pictures and other review on Yelp seem to indicate that their brunch menu changes frequently, but we didn't get waffles, there were pancakes instead, although, disappointingly, they were served on the buffet, cold stacked on a plate and not fresh and hot. I've been to other buffets where they put out pancake griddles for guests to make their own pancakes and my suggestion to the crooked leg would be to follow suite. That would really catapults the brunch experience here over the top!

Yelp
This property probably warrants four stars, and maybe I would have rated it higher if my stay was shorter. Perhaps I'm just too old for the place, but my affection diminished with each passing day. The location is excellent, particularly for a business traveler. The rooms are nice and decently sized for Europe. The staff is typical of Northern Europe -- highly efficient and bordering on cold, which suits me fine. The breakfast was good, featuring Swedish standards and proper Scandinavian coffee. As hip and modern as the hotel was inside, the exterior looked like it was made from the stolen blueprints of a Soviet architect. More importantly, the bathroom was soaked after every shower thanks to a poorly designed stall. Between those flaws and the partial conversion of the lobby into a cheesy bar (complete with DJ) about half of the week, I was left pining for a little more substance to go with all the style.
