Wonderful local yarn store! Anette, the owner, is super helpful and friendly. She offers knitting and crocheting classes for adults and kids and is a great teacher. My daughter learned to knit from Anette and has now gotten really into it. As a more advanced knitter myself, I appreciate the high quality yarns and good advice that Anette offers.

Small but lovely selection of yarn. Annette is very helpful and generous with her time and knowledge. She made a special order for me which I just received. My friend bought a couple cute gift items and some Scandinavian licorice. We had a lot of fun visiting the store and we'll definitely go again.

Super cute little shop! They had more than just yarn there, some handmade cookware and other accessories. The two women working gave us very helpful facts about different skeins and were very kind!! Highly recommend stopping in

Such a lovely shop with a beautiful yarn selection. They carry the sandnes garn brand that is often featured in petite knit patterns, and offer lots of great advice and events!

Started knitting lessons with Anette, the owner. Such a warm wonderful and patient individual. The only down side is seeing what a klutz I am, trying to knit a simple project while she knits lightening fast without even looking. I’m an old dog learning a new trick so it will take some time. But she did have gingerbread cookies to support us!! Thanks Anette!

Best place in the bay to get adorable yet durable utensils, plates, cups. A huge variety of designs to choose from, and lots of cute decorations to spruce up my home. My son loves his woven to chests, they are so unique! I won’t buy cups, plates, or utensils for my son anywhere else! Charlotte and Anette are always so helpful and friendly, cutest shop around :)

Very lovely store! One of the only bay area shops to carry Sandnes Garn and they have some really cool felted art and kits.

Nordic Nest is a very nice shop where you can find melamine cups and plates in very cute designs and a lot more stuff in fine European designs like greengate and others.

I've been to the Nordic nest and it's a really cute place. They have lots of different items there and I got a couple cute dish towels. I wish I liked yarn because they have quite a selection. One time I went and they had a little pop-up market and that was kind of fun. The service is really nice. The prices are a little bit high. But I know in times like these everything is expensive.

I'm a big fan of Nordic Nest, everyone is very nice and helpful. there is an excellent selection of Norwegian yarn. Rui had a pop up during the yarn crawl, and the owner has a lovely selection of illustrations!

Wonderful selection of Norwegian Sandnes yarn as well as yarn from very local dyers. Also many fun home made and unique gifts. Anette is quite the artist!

Darling store! Everything is so pretty there! Many pretty colors all nicely displayed. Ceramic and melamine dishes. If I lived here I would definitely have some of those pieces in my kitchen. I saw lots of really cute gift items as well. Lovely lady staffing the store and they have a nice sale section in the back.

I wanted to recommend Nordic Nest to those looking for knitting supplies. Anette, the owner, was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful to my 83 year old mom who was looking for yarn and knitting supplies for a gift. Two other local stores completely blew her off when she called for assistance, but Anette was very kind not only over the phone but also texted back and forth with her a few times. We purchased some beautiful yarn at a reasonable price there today from Anette, and shortly after we left, she (as promised) even sent my Mom links to a number of websites where we could purchase patterns. Anette was great in person too, had terrific suggestions, and was very patient with my Mom. The store itself is lovely too, and we will need to return to look at the various artisanal gifts on display and available for purchase. Anette & Nordic Nest are keepers for sure!

Amazing! This is my go-to stop for a variety of special gifts and knitting/crocheting yarn from Norway, Denmark and all places "Nordic". The colors and quality are unmatched for yarn, towels, rugs, and dishes. The owner, Anette, makes reasonably priced crafting kits and sells jewelry made by local artists. I've also been taking beginning knitting and crocheting classes from Anette (master crafts-person) over the past 6 months...have made many beautiful gifts for friends (and myself) with calm clear guidance along the way. We have a fun group of knitters and crocheters that now gather in the store each Thursday...join us!

Wonderful shop. Lots of love and care goes into the selection and production of items, very clearly. Beautiful experience even if simply browsing. Very reasonable prices for the high quality of the products.

Very helpful staff who helped me find the tea thermos I found online. Rice DK has very nice items and this store is the place to find those special items.

Items arrived broken and wrong items shipped. Zero response from customer service to emails. Very disappointed and out $$$. Save yourself the time and frustration and avoid doing business with this company.

This store is wonderful. I bought several bowls there, and I love them. They are cute and my kids love them. Best of all, Charlotte is wonderful to work with. She was helpful, thoughtful and made the shopping experience even better. I'm looking forward to returning to the store and buying more.

Wow! This store pretty much carries the entire line of Rice melamine products from cups, plates, bowls, kids trays, utensils to cake stands. I've been looking for dishware safe, light weight cups to use at my house parties and their selection really fit the bill for me! I was able to get 23 cups, each in a different color and/or print. Very lovely designs and I'm hoping these will last years for me.

I'm a fan of Danish Rice DK melamine dishes, and this small, cute shop in downtown San Carlos is an American (at least West Coast) distributor. Rice DK melamine is fantastic for kids, but they also have pretty (mostly feminine) adult patterns too. Plates, bowls (including rice bowls), cups, forks, spoons, etc. Very high quality, and popular in Europ. It doesn't come cheap, but it's good, Danish quality. The brand is so hard to find in the US so I was very pleased to find this shop in the Bay Area. Go to their website and call the owners in advance to see when they will be at their storefront. They are often at their warehouse but are very accommodating and will work with you to find a time to meet you at their store.
