We stayed here in a tent, the ground is soft enough so we got a nice sleep. The staff is indeed very friendly and helpful speak good English. The kitchens were very clean and basic utilities were available (glasses, mugs, plates, cutlery, oven, fireplace, toaster that I recall now). The facilities get easily rather full, so the capacity of the kitchen and the showering places could be increased for a better experience. On the other hand we were lucky enough to always find an empty spot for us. Price-wise I would say the basic charge acceptable if not for the timed showers. They just spoil the stay. The timer cannot be stopped, so your 6min for 10 NOK has to be continuous. One could spare water much more without (e.g. by not running water while soaping), but this system encourages just turning it on and have it running. The other negative side is the washing machines. The instructions to use are not complete at all. So here is what we found out by experience (N.B.): if you place your coins into the box before the previous user's time is out, your money is LOST! The time has to be out and the screen of the washing machine has to be dark (it is not enough that the washing itself is ready). If you place extra coins to a still running (not dark screen) machine and start a program then it will shut down in the middle of the cycle! To make things worse there is no indication of leftover time on the money box you have to check that the screen of the machine is dark. The above are experimentally tested and verified as of August 2023. We think (this is not verified or tested) that 20NOK is actually enough for a 40min washing cycle and the 30 is only needed for the 60 min. The dryer works similarly, don't throw extra coins before the timer is out and the screen is black. However you can start drying already in the previous user's remaining time as for the drying it doesn't cause a differnce if it's shut down in the middle of the cycle.
The view is very nice (almost breath-taking), and reindeers everywhere! Also there is a small shop with basic camping food and souvenirs.
