Outstanding Stay at Nordwind Hotel! Highly Recommend! I recently spent a few days here at Nordwind Hotel in Chiang Mai and it was an absolute gem – the perfect base for exploring this beautiful city. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful, going out of their way to make my stay comfortable (special shoutout to the front desk team for their kindness and quick assistance with everything!). The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and modern, with a comfy king-size bed, a private balcony offering stunning mountain views, a flat-screen TV, safe, and strong free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was well-appointed with a great shower, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Daily housekeeping was impeccable! Location-wise, it’s fantastic – just a short 10-minute walk to the vibrant Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and close to Tha Pae Gate, with plenty of street food and shops nearby. The hotel even offers a convenient free shuttle service on weekends, and free private parking was a big plus. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the overall value for money is unbeatable for such a clean and welcoming spot in a quiet area away from the hustle but still central. If you’re heading to Chiang Mai, don’t hesitate to book Nordwind Hotel – I’ll definitely be back on my next trip!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ I stayed at Nord Wind Hotel in Chiang Mai and overall had a very good experience. The lady at the reception was extremely kind and helpful — she made everything easy and pleasant from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was nice and quite varied, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. I liked that there were proper tables and chairs in the room — even a dressing table with a mirror and another small table with two chairs beside the bed, which made the space feel homely and practical. A few things could be improved: the swimming pool had a noticeable chlorine smell, and the plastic furniture around it gave off a bit of odor when exposed to the sun — wooden furniture would make the area much more pleasant. The air conditioner in my room took a minute or two to start cooling, and at times there was a slight unpleasant smell coming through the bathroom vents, probably from other rooms — it might be good for the hotel to check the ventilation system to prevent that. Other than that, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay overall, with very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I’d be happy to stay here again.

We stayed at the Norwind for 1 week in a superior mountain view room. All very good until the last night when new guests in a room next to us were loud late at night. We left part of our luggage there for 1 week then returned to another superior room with an adjoining door, room not as good as our 1st room and again loud inconsiderate guest next door shouting on their phone at 5.30am. Breakfast is plentiful and hot dishes vary daily. All staff are lovely. Parking on street level. Didn't use swimming pool. Lifts to all floors 3 bottles of complimentary water daily and toothbrushes kits, soap and shower caps. Area has very local feel, great eateries around, 7-Eleven 5 mins away by the canal. Easy reach for many amenities.

Great spot, nice rooms, clean, friendly staff. Breakfast was good for a Thai style breakfast. Only issue we had was noise from adjoining room (family room door) has NO sound proofing, so its noisey.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the bed was sooo comfortable!! The pool area is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the city. It’s always clean and seems newly done. The location is great, nice and quiet but within walking distance to the old city. We never even rented a scooter, but the hotel has pedal bikes you can rent so we did that one day to go to Monk’s Trail. We ended up extending our stay here because we loved it so much. The staff are extremely kind and helpful, and the breakfast is super tasty!!

A one night stay. Room nice and quiet. Bed big. Comfy. Room clean. Only downside was the bathroom was very small. Toilet in a enclosed corner. Breakfast was fine and eggs to order so also hot. Swimming pool a surprise. Hotel coffee shop a plus. Many local shops and the canal walkway a 2 minutes stroll next to the 7 eleven. Quite impressed as a last minute stopover.

Stayed there for 3 nights. Most pleasant hotel we stayed at in Chiang Mai. Loved the towel elephants and general ambience. Nice helpful staff

Review of room 407, we have been allowed to move out of this room, if not, we would have moved out of the hotel. Why, we like a comfortable mattress and the mattress in room 407 is more like a hard board! Our new room is an improvement, but not as comfortable as we'd like. The reception girl was lovely and did all she could to assist - five requests: fix safe, fix bidet tap, more pillows, more towels and then she finally provided a bed topper, which enabled some sleep. Hotel is quiet except for the 5am rooster's calls 🐓 The breakfast is OK Their photo's shown are old - as the hotel is in need of some updates and TLC.
