Norling Hotel

We stayed here as part of our motorcycle trip through Bhutan. The hotel is one of the few in a small town. The lady owner is warm and helpful. The rooms were clean, and toilets hygienic. Rooms also offer a view of the Dzong and come with a heater. The restaurant offers great tasty food - go for the chicken combo. Parking is available in front of the hotel.

We spent 2 nights here in Norling Hotel, one while going towards Bumthang and one while coming back, its a Nice hotel with clean rooms and nice view, the hotel is in the heart of the city and on the road leading to Thimphu or Bumthang, The owner Dileep Thapa and his family is very helpful and always ready to help with a smile. The restaurant has a decent quality of food and the options for eating are also not much in the town.

Trongsa is a small town so dont expect 5star hotels and services in tronga. Norling is a good hotel equipped with all basic facilities like hot water, heater etc. it is located on a small lane where you will find 3-4 hotels and some local shops. |hotel room is decorated nicely and toilet/bathrooms were clean.|they have resturant on the ground floor. I tried daal rice but it wasnt good.|They dont have their own parking so you have to park your car on the road.|Trongsa dzong is 5mins walking distance.|There are not much hotels in tronga town so i feel this is the best deal in tronga.

We stayed at this hotel in Trongsa on the way to Bumathang. Trongsa is a small place and have very limited options to stay as we did not have any other option and we could not go any further we booked hotel Norling on the spot. Hotel is run by Mr. Dileep Thapa who is a very hospitable man and helped us a lot regarding our travel to Bumathang. Rooms in the hotel are clean provided with room heater but attached bathroom were just ok as we had to spend only one night we tolerated it.|Hotel has its own restaurant and serves good food at reasonable prices compared to other options available in town.|Overall it's an ok place for one night stay.

I saw many comment about this hotel and some of them I feel was a bit unfair. I stayed here for one night on my way to Gelephu.||||The room was decent though basic, strangely they had an LCD TV . The bathroom was also decent and I believe it had a working geyser too.||||The bed though not great to write home about was decent , clean and comfortable.||||We got room with the Dzong view and it was surprising great as we had very low expectation when we checked in.||||When you consider that they charge only around Rs 1000 for a double room with a working heater and also when you consider the location ( not a prominent tourist stop ) I would say the hotel is real value for money.||||Don't go there expecting luxuries but if you compare cost with returns you wont be disappointed.||||The food was good as well and I would say in our entire 14 day Bhutan trip this was the only hotel which charged fairly for food and we didn't feel the food was over priced.||||The staff was helpful but not that friendly or was it my feeling :-) ( don't get me wrong its not as if they were nasty but we felt unlike other hotel they were too mingling type - but hey they didn't give us any reason to complain- even opened the hotel door at 5am in morning as we had to start early)||||Contrary to what we thought we did like the small quite place.||||Cars can be parked in front of the hotel and bike parking is nearby at the junction/crossroad||||For a budget hotel I give this a Thumps Up

I wish of giving 0 stars, since there is no option of that I had to give 1 star. Worst rooms with no cleanliness. Rooms stink .baf attitude of staff and owner of hotel. The lady at reception, who is supposedly owners wife is very rude and had no manners on how to respond / treat guests. Pathetic food. No veg options . We had to rely on cup noodles .in all I would never recommend anyone this hotel in trongsa

The only pit stop worth mentioning between Punakha & Bumthang, this hotel offers some amazing food. I never checked the roos as we actually went to norling cafe but the food was just amazing. Please stop by for the food if for nothing else
