Norm Coffee

Today, Sunday 28 December, I arrived at 9.15am as Google lists the café as opening at 9.00am, but it was closed. Please update the opening hours online. It is a simple fix and would prevent customers from making unnecessary trips when the café is not actually open. Update after owner response: Thanks for the reply. I get that cafés are run by people. That is exactly why the opening hours on Google need to match reality. After reading other reviews, two things stand out. One, the replies to customers are often rude. Two, multiple people have flagged incorrect opening times. So instead of spending time arguing in the comments, please reflect and update the correct hours. It is a simple fix that stops people wasting their time. I am not asking for a freebie. I am asking for accurate information.

This place had been in my list since late 2019. Finally I visited it today and am glad I did. I had a latte and it was really good and it came with latte art. The barista was very friendly.

Wonderful first turkish coffee experience in Istanbul. Its a bit of an uphill walk, but worth it! We had the almond cake and turkish coffee. Very fragant, perfect amount of sugar- and the atmosphere and internet connection makes it a haven for remote work. Would recommend! 2 people: 14€

I was here and read the reviews before going here. Sorry but it was a terrible cappuccino for a high price. The almond croissant was very dry and also expensive. I do not recommend this coffee shop

It was 5 minutes before they were closing and I ordered espresso tonic. They were out of tonic but barista went to the grocery shop to buy one. It was very nice and I was extremely pleased :) The place itself is bright and modern. You can buy coffee beans here as well as chocolate and some other local food. One of the best coffee places in Beyoğlu!

Coffee was not bad, yet attitude of staff leaves much to be desired; I kindly asked them during a midday when cafe was almost empty if they can turn down their loud music for a literally 10min since I had some urgent phone call, they unfortunately declined. They have also asked a bit rude to wear a mask INSIDE OF CAFE which is indeed not forbidden if we are sharing the same table. Please note, that me and my friend haven’t been approached as foreigners yet as locals. Maybe they are showing more kindness to the foreigners & expats living here. Won’t come to this place anytime soon. Left a bit unpleasant attitude towards us.

Norm easily offers the best coffee and baked goods in Istanbul. The owners have carefully considered each type of coffee they serve and are constantly researching new methods to improve their craft. The baked goods here are something special. No where else in Istanbul have I encountered such delicious, perfectly executed baked good. Everything is fresh and there's always something new to try. There are lots of options for vegans and even some gluten free options (but GF options are not regular. Check in advance if this is important to you.) My personal favorites are the chocolate chip cookies, lemon polenta cake, and lemon ricotta cake. There are many other delicious options that come and go from the menu. You cannot go wrong with Norm. If you're passing through town, it offers a wonderful respite. If you're local, you'll become a regular.

Norm embodies the spirit of the 3rd wave coffee movement. This is the best coffee I've had in Istanbul so far - coming from someone from the West Coast USA. Their V60 pour is top-notch, and they really know how to pull a great shot of espresso. Some might call it "uppity" or "hipster" - great adjectives if you're a coffee connoisseur. They even have some delicious homemade pastries to-boot.

Outstanding coffee that's made to order! World-class chocolate chip cookies with a pinch of sea salt on top that made for a memorable experience that I look forward to repeating. Friendly, English-speaking staff that makes an already perfect experience even better! As yet another added perk, it's across the street from a dog park.
