It’s not often you wine taste at a winery that has wines in 30 Michelin star restaurants around the world! Beautiful location with a lot of character and history. Every winery in Prince Edward County boasts a unique micro-climate that gives their grapes distinction. This winery has a great restaurant as well that features wood fired pizza and oysters. It is busy; 20 to 45 minute waits, but people stay. You can wine taste while waiting for your table. I highly recommend dropping in if you’re passing through Prince Edward County!

A Fabulous Experience at Norman Hardie Winery What a fabulous place! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of charm. The food was absolutely outstanding—particularly the biltong, which was a delightful and unexpected treat, and the pizza, which was hands down some of the best we’ve had. Perfectly crisp crust, fresh toppings, and full of flavor. What really set the experience apart, though, was the personal touch. Norman Hardie himself was on-site, mingling with guests and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. It’s rare to see that kind of hands-on care and passion, and it made the visit feel extra special. He wasn’t just attentive to the people—he was also making sure the dogs were happy too! It’s clear that this is a place where everyone is welcome. Whether you're a wine enthusiast, a foodie, or simply looking for a relaxed and memorable outing in Prince Edward County, Norman Hardie Winery is well worth the visit. Can’t wait to go back!

If you’re looking for a fun filled atmosphere to go along with your wine and food then this is the place for you! The wines are great and the service is very friendly. They have a cool sculpture garden where you can walk around and look at the nice artwork and with your wine in hand. ☺️😎👍

Google
Our favourite winery in the county. We hit a road block and detour leaving Wellington and really did stumble upon this place on Mother’s Day. Great pizza and fresh oysters and nice staff. It got fire pits that create that rustic outdoor atmosphere. I didn’t love the wine I had but that’s okay. It came from the winery across the road 🫣.

Google
After years of coming to Norman Hardy and having good experiences , their service and wine quality have sadly declined . The winery seems to now cater to tours and influencers leaving empty reserved tables and chairs . Meanwhile people are pushed to takeout pizza and wine tasting bars. They don’t even bother replenishing water glasses on a hot summer day. Sadly this winery has lost its small town charm and friendliness , 60 minutes waits for tables that you cannot reserve unless you are with a tour. unwelcoming staff. Not worth the drive.

Google
My Son and Daughter and Son in Law brought me here for Mother’s Day . It was an awesome experience, the weather was perfect and the food was amazing! The ladies serving us were friendly and efficient and the food came fast , hot and so delicious. Hard to pick a favorite food so I’ll have to come back and sample some more !

We came at 4 pm, and they said it's already too late for the pizza.🥲 But still can have the wine tasting. We are lucky that they give us a free try for the flight! The Orange is awesome and all the people here are nice. Thank you so much for the experience!

Google
Had an excellent experience at Norman Hardy winery this afternoon. It was excellent. Such an experience. A great experience topped off with outstanding service from a young highly respected man named Connor. He was friendly, humorous, and brought a positive aura whenever he was with us. Not to mention how fast our pesto pizza arrived cooked by the chef Evan. Nate was quite helpful on the oyster bar as well with the many questions we had for him. Overall, it was a wonderful experience topped off with wonderful people.

Yelp
We went to Norman Hardie for wine tasting and our experience was excellent. Wine tasting is $15 per person, which includes four wines. Our server, Braydon, was very sweet and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions in detail about each of the wines. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting with her. We then stopped by the restaurant and ordered oysters, paired with a glass of Norman Hardie white wine. The oysters are imported 3 days a week from PEI. The oysters were medium sized and tasted very fresh. The restaurant had plenty of outside seating (and is dog friendly!), with a rustic feel to it. The winery itself was beautiful. We loved our time at Norman Hardie and would definitely recommend it!

Yelp
I visited this place based on a recommendation and was not disappointed. It's a nice spot to relax and enjoy some wine on their outdoor patio, paired with freshly made pizza. The service was excellent as well. Will be back to visit this place again in the future.

Yelp
We always have an exceptionally good experience here. Have been dozens of times over many many years, and the food is always outstanding. The smoked trout is absolutely unmissable. Yes the waits are long in the summer due to tourists, but in the shoulder seasons you definitely don't have to wait long. Some of the best wine in the county, and it's in fact one of the wineries that put us on the map to begin with.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place to start your first wine tasting stop at PEC. We dropped by to share some light bites of pizza and salad. Recent pricing is $12, and you get to taste four wines, and if it's not too busy like the day we went, the staff allowed us to taste a couple more. We sampled all 6. Outside seating only and underneath shaded gazebos or in the sun. It can get windy so prepare a jacket if you're in the shade. The stone oven pizza, salad and staff were fantastic. Most staff there are seasonal student workers. I personally love the John Bil wine, a blend of dry riesling and chardonnay. They also credit your wine tasting if you buy $20 of wine. On your wine purchase, they give you a handy reusable wine tote bag with divided interior spacing to hold up to 6 wines. Perfect for when we go on LCBO runs to refill our small wine stash or purchase from the next winery

Yelp
I came here recently as part of our wine tour, and was pleasantly surprised by the facilities. They have a fully working with fire oven, an oyster bar, a selection of great wine, and plenty of space to enjoy it in. We shared a glass of Chardonnay, as they were not serving flights while we were there. Our server was good enough to split it into two glasses for us. We had to try out their pizza, and went with the Salsiccia. The crust is super thin, just enough to hold up the ingredients but delicious. Will try their house cured trout and biltong next time!

Yelp
The two of us sat outside on their lawn/patio at a table and had a very nice tasty pizza along with wine. Service was more than adequate for such a busy place. We like a lively place to eat and this was such a place, and the weather was perfect, so it was a great lunch. We'd go there again as we enjoy outdoor seating in fine weather. No reservations needed. By the (ample) parking lot, there is a beautiful field of sunflowers! We took a nice photo against them.

Yelp
3.5/5 - came with a group of 11 at peak lunch time and obviously it was packed. However they did have picnic tables and gazebos on their property where we were able to stake out and grab. We then ordered take out pizza's and glasses of wine. We were told we weren't allowed to open bottles on their property. So basically we were forced to buy by the glass. We left at 3:30pm and the place was still packed with lunch goers with no open table in sight. The fungi pizza was delicious but I've tasted better Margherita pizzas before. Overall, strong 3.5 stars. Their wine was good but nothing blew my mind. The size of the individual pizza is large enough that you can definitely get full. But if you're a big eater you'd probably need 1.5 pizzas. Great atmosphere though and we happened to go on a day with great weather.

Yelp
Overall nice winery, here are the highlights: -GREAT outdoor stone-oven THIN CRUST pizzas - wine tasting! $5 for 3 wines is a sweet deal and can be waived if you make a bottle purchase -you can walk along the grape vines -see their other produce garden (hot peppers, sunflowers, tomatoes, eggplant, etc) -store containing lots of jarred & bottled local jams/oils/spreads We stuck around for a patio lunch and loved the SMOKED TROUT SALAD (next time, ask for the dressing on the side bc they were VERY generous with their in-house olive oil) and FUNGHI PIZZA. We also tried their in-house peperoncino (diced hot peppers) with the pizza and it was fireee.

Yelp
Norman Hardie, a winery experience that I had with my bestfriend and her boyfriend, as well as my +1. It was a pleasant, windy, and very scenic day that we spent at this winery. If it was a little bit chilly, they provided blankets, so that when you sit down, you're not too cold. Service - excellent, attentive. In the beginning it was quite slow as they were very busy (but what can you expect when the place is busy!!) Wine tasting - the wine tasting experience was good. tasted a few different wines, nothing outstanding or spectacular, but very flavourful. I would return to try other flavours. Pizza - would recommend! Great for meat lovers. Nothing too overpowering. Crisp crust, sauce and topping ratio pretty good. Overall, I enjoyed the scenery, experience, and environmental vibes this place gives us. Very wine-esque, as it should. Lots of engagement parties, and brunch meetups. Would visit again!

Yelp
Summer throwback and rave review. . I keep recommending this place and will continue to sing their praises. . Norman Hardie Winery. . Omg yes. We came here and had to come back for the smoked trout. It was so worth it. . 1) smoked trout -26$ & flatbread (3$) . 2) PEI oysters - 6 for 20$ or $3.50 each . 3)Tarte Flambé pizza -18$ . 4) Glass of Aphrodite - 11$ . 5) County Soda - Orange Soda -4$ . Ok, so amazing and worth the trip back. The trout was . 100% wish I could take it back to Berta. The flatbread was a perfect suggestion. Maybe some crème freche or some extra dill and then perfection. The oysters were also divine. Pizza was meh compared to the rest, so we wish we got more oysters instead of the pizza. Also the soda was one of the best I've ever had. The wine is light and pure, but enjoyed the ones previously tasted. Highly, highly recommend @normanhardiewinery for atmosphere, wine and food. I think it was and still is my fave in prince Edward county! .

Yelp
Great place, great ambience, great food. As we were staying in the area, we ate here twice. Both of our experiences were amazing. I do recommend this place.

Yelp
We only had an opportunity to try the wine tasting and buy a couple of bottles so this isn't a review of their restaurant. First of all, this place is definitely well known, probably the most well known in PEC, as it was absolutely packed here. However, it does look like a real vineyard with pastures of grapes unlike some of the smaller wineries which look like some's backyard grape project. Norman Hardie is a fun destination if you're in the Sandbanks/Picton area. Norman Hardie is arguably PEC's most well known winery. It gets quite busy on weekends, so expect a wait and a crowd. But, you can't make a visit to PEC without visiting Norman Hardie at least once. Wine tastings are $2 per, or 3 for $5. I know they're known for their Pinots but it wasn't for me, as I much prefer Oregon Pinots which really are smooth on the palate. We ended up purchasing some bottles of their county chardonnay and also the Calcaire. I've heard so much about the wood fired pizza but the wait was an hour so I couldn't wait around. I suspect they would get a lot more business if they managed to reduce the waitlist time.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Amazing food! I love pizza so I'm a harsh pizza critique and the pizza was very fresh, fresh ingredients, oven baked and we did not have to wait long. They have a great chilli sauce I would highly recommend. If you like dipping sauce I would suggest asking for their kale dressing sauce, it paired very nicely. We ordered 3 pizzas, the margarita, the funghi, and the salccicia. My favourite was the funghi. If you go for the wine tasting, the staff is quite friendly and very informed on their products. A great spot for taking pictures, having lunch or an early dinner as they do close early (6pm). I would definitely go back and I highly recommend.

Yelp
Luciano gave us an exceptional tasting. Delicious wines with a really entertaining guide.

Yelp
My wife and I used to come here for the food and drinks often, but over the past year, we've noticed longer and longer waits on tables. Its typically a minimum of 1-2 hour wait for a table unless you come very early. We had a party of 5 join us recently and were told that they don't reserve tables for less than 8. We found a different winery for our party. Try a glass and a walk through the vineyard for an enjoyable experience - just don't come for the food unless you have a clear schedule.

Yelp
I just had to come here after hearing about Norman Hardie from a coworker that saw Chef Chuck Hughes visit for their delicious pizza and wines. I am glad I visited! This is a great stop in Prince Edward. We're not big wine drinkers ourselves but came here for the wood fired oven pizzas and some simple wine tastings for experience. As soon as you go in, make sure to check in with the people there to be put on a wait list. We ended up waiting 1.5 hours on a Sunday of a long weekend but the wait wasn't so bad. You can take a stroll around and do some wine tasting. But admittedly, there's not much. I don't think their turn-around was very efficient because there were empty tables at quick glances. I mean, at the same time it's nice to move at a relaxed pace but I'm not sure if that's the way it should be when people are looking closer to a 2 hour wait (in the late afternoon too). I really wanted their Caprese salad but they didn't have it (it is a seasonal thing) so we settled for the salad with greens in season. It's still really simple yet delicious; crisp and fresh greens with various root vegetables and a simple vinegrette to bring it all together. Small was enough for two people. The Neapolitan style pizza was amazing. Thin crust (but not too thin! There's a nice chew to this) and in a wood fire oven, which creates some charring. This charring is essential and is part of the flavor profile, adding a slight bitterness. Classic Margherita is a no brainer but the funghi pizza contained a bit too much garlic according to my partner. Their wines here are also very good. We're not big wine drinkers but found their reisling very tasty!

Yelp
Pizzas are actually legit at Norman's!!!! Was skeptical coming from the pizza Mecca "Chicago", but the flavors on the dolce were complex. Every bite had a different flavor that kept on making you want to keep eating! Owner came by as well to greet us which was a nice touch. Wine buzz = need food = Norman's pizza!
google avatar

Yelp
Another favourite stop on the PEC day trip. The scenery is gorgeous and you can relax and get some lunch here. They have wood fire oven pizza (this time I did not get lunch here as we were on a tight schedule) The staff are really friendly and answer your questions patiently - whether about the food or the wine. It does get quite busy so you may have some waiting to do but that's ok if it;s a nice day outside. Just relax and enjoy the view

Yelp
We did a bit of wine tasting which was not my favourite... But the pizza was delicious

Yelp
Norman Hardie is arguably PEC's most well known winery. It gets quite busy on weekends, so expect a wait and a crowd. But, you can't make a visit to PEC without visiting Norman Hardie at least once. If you don't want to wait to sit at a table and are ok with doing something more casual, and like your pizzas authentic, wood fired, and Margherita style, opt for takeout. There is a large seating and table area upstairs outdoors at the outdoor wine tasting bars where they do takeout pizzas, tastings, and fresh oyster shucking. We did a takeout pizza to share, and 3 wine tasting glasses, and found standing room at a table to enjoy the sun, food, and drink. The pizza is really delicious - thin and chewy, smoky with a good amount of mozzarella and tomato sauce and basil. If you opt to sit down, there are seats at the restaurant below. I saw planter boxes next to most of the tables with some basil plants, which is a great idea if you want more fresh basil on your pizza! Wine tastings are $2 per, or 3 for $5. I would recommend getting a taste of their well known County Pinot noir, and comparing it to their other Pinot Noir, and then either their Chardonnay or Chardonnay blend to balance it with a white. Final tip: there is only one washroom upstairs near the wine tasting area, so be warned to expect a line up if you guzzle down too much wine!

Shirley L.

Yelp
The wine tasting experience was okay. The server was not friendly at all so I didn't really enjoy the tasting. Maybe I will return and hopefully my visit next time will be better.

Yelp
Must stop for wine lovers alike and foodies. Definitely worth the two hour drive from Toronto! You'll not only enjoy fantastic wine (the best Chardonnay in North America) but beautiful scenery, the best tomatoes, and fantastic pizza. YES.. Pizza! Norman built an authentic wood fire oven that stands outside and fires out hundreds of pizza a day. Many visitors visit just for the pizza (a mistake cause the wine is real good). The staff is super friendly and helpful. Will offer great recommendations. Make sure to book a cabin or the many bed n breakfast spots. Don't drink and drive, it's not worth it. And you will be drinking plenty of this fantastic wine! Can't wait to come back on my next visit to Toronto.

Yelp
Fantastic food and amazing ambiance. Insider scoop- the pizza recipes are derived from Terroni & Libretto. You want to eat here! A must try is the pizza blanca with sausage and caramelized onions- the group favourite. While the staff was attentive and checked in at the right time through out the meal, the experience at the tasting was a stark contrast. Ordered a flight of wine with no explanation as to the wine we were tasting. No effort was made to speak to the winery or the wines offered. What would have been a 5 star rating, overall experience could have been better. If you're in PEC, definitely plan a lunch or dinner.

Karen T.

Yelp
We were there the other day. We finally got seated at a table that was not covered, and it was clearly going to pour. We asked to be switched to another available table with a cover, which did eventually happen, as it started pouring rain. After sitting there for 40 minutes we still had no idea who our server was cause no one had come to speak to us at all. We eventually flagged someone down (all the staff seemed to have disappeared once the rain started except for this one person), and he was eventually able to tell us they wouldn't be able to serve until the rain stopped. I get that it's not ideal with covid when it starts pouring but keep your customers informed. Also, don't keep seating people when there is clearly about to be a crazy thunderstorm and you know you won't be able to serve them. And if you do seat them... come tell them when you know the service will change instead of just letting them sit there wondering. Honestly, it was the worst customer service and we were very angry

Yelp
I've been visiting this winery for years - basically back when the tasting room was on the main floor and I was the only visitor. Years, I tell you, years! I've watched it undergo a lot of changes - the tasting room moved upstairs, the pizza ovens, the lunches, the groups - and while I love to see the growth and the expansion of the business I just feel like it's missing the personal touch. I visited on a Friday afternoon and the place was bustling - the service in the restaurant was fine, the pizza was delivered quickly, but I felt like the charm was missing. Except for the vines in the background, I could have been anywhere. It felt a lot less personal than it has in the past, almost like I was visiting one of the really big wineries that I avoid (I will not mention names here) because of the cattle mentality. The pizza, though, was great - nice bit of char, great toppings - and so was the glass of wine that I ordered to go with it! Expect to pay Toronto prices ($10-15 for a glass of wine, $14-19 for a pizza) - or are they County prices now? The tasting room upstairs was absolutely rammed with people. My friend bought one of her fave bottles and we left without doing any other tastings - there were not enough employees and just too many people to compete with. I would hate to see the place on a Saturday afternoon if that's how it was on a non-holiday Friday. I can't comment on tasting prices, they were on the slightly higher end - estimate $2/sample with tasting fee waived after a purchase of $50+ (or more - it was one of the higher minimum purchases). Estimate $35-40 for a bottle of the County Pinot Noir. I still think that this is a must-stop winery, and I will definitely continue to recommend it to visitors, but I'm not in a big rush to return. There are too many new places popping up!

Yelp
Summary: good wine but you can't always get a glass and when you can the white is warm; long wait for pizza similar to what you get in Toronto. I had high expectations after all the recommendations I got for this place. However, I was not impressed. First they have two different tasting bars beside each other, with different wines - a bit of an odd concept. And on top of that, a third place you have to go to get a glass of wine. We loved the County Chardonnay that we tasted but they were unable to serve that by the glass. Seems strange given that they were serving tastings of it 2 feet away. They suggested we try a "similar" Chardonnay which was nothing like the first, pricey at 15/glass, and served warm... The pizza was good, but similar to what you get in Toronto (think Libretto or Terroni, the places the head chef partnered with when making the recipes) - not worth the hour long wait in my opinion. Given how many great options there are in the county, you may want to skip this despite all the hype.

Yelp
Stunning views and a great country feel and smell of fresh air. I loved the staff she was super nice and helpful. The decor was great and the outdoor seating was super cool. The wine list was big so you have a lot to pick from. I loved the Gamay it was amazing as well as their Riesling. The Gamay had a lot going on and would be great in the cold holidays. The Riesling is going to be great for the porch it has a, super fresh taste with lots of fruit and hight acidity.

Yelp
4.5 is my rating. Came by here to grab a quick bite before leaving the town. Food came quick - although it was a quick meal we definitely enjoyed the patio and nice view. Ordered the small salad, which surprisingly was quite big in size. All the greens were freshly picked from their local garden - as expected. Went for the basics and had the margherita ($13). Tomato sauce, cheese, and basil on a thin crust pizza freshly baked in their wood-fired oven. The pizza was amazing! Much better than the other Toronto pizzerias that I've been to. Perfect balance in the sauce, ingredients, and the crust - not overpowering each other in flavor. The crust was perfect, thin but slightly chewy. Portion wise it was slightly smaller than average size pizzas so you could actually finish a whole pie on your own. Apparently their pizza recipe was developed by chefs from Pizzeria Libretto, Terroni, and Ortolan. How interesting.

Yelp
Amazing pizza! And I'm not kidding we had the spicy one with extra peppers and it was so good!!! The winery was very cute as well and service top notch especially the man directing traffic and parking it seemed he was everywhere at once. Though the wait was 35 mins they have the coolest wait list app I've ever used and exploring the grounds takes up more than the amount of time you'd wait so no problems at all on my end!!!! Super happy would def come back!!!!

Yelp
This is a nice winery. The pizza oven and outdoor patio are brilliant on a nice day. The wines are very good. Here's the rub. Like me, you may be a huge fan of all things Canadian, particularly, the notion that Canada can produce wines ( or anything else) as good as anyone. You also travel to every winery trolling for the next hidden gem that proves your point. The Pinot Noir here is better than most other Canadian Pinot Noir. However, at 35$ or more a bottle, it should be. For all the hype, much of it deserved, the price is high. One of these days, we can only hope, there will be more wonderfully enjoyable bottles of Canadian wine that are approachable as a regular occurrence for everyday people and not simply a special occasion. Enjoy this one as a special occasion.

Yelp
Pizza was amazing! View and atmosphere great! But in the end our experience was ruined by the rude young waitress

Yelp
We stopped in briefly for a wine tasting. I wasn't overly impressed. The gentleman running the tasting area didn't seem very interested in answering questions or even putting a smile on. I bought a $45 bottle of wine for my parents from him and I found him unhelpful in the whole process.
google avatar

Yelp
Sadly; our trip to Norman Hardie today didn't actually happen. We arrived to find the pizza forno closed, which wasn't ideal, but we decided to go up to the tasting room as we always do when we visit. We got upstairs and were completely ignored by four different people. The girl at the desk only looked up from her paperwork when we decided to leave, after standing at the tasting bar for five minutes with nobody even looking at us... All she said was "have a nice day." Unfortunate. We have been to this winery many times and always get wonderful service and buy more wine than we probably should. After today, we will not be returning.

Yelp
This is a PEC must stop! Why? 3 reasons 1) The Wines The Pinot Noir is amazing and this whole winery is all about the simplicity of crafting the best wine possible. I would have thought that the terrain wouldn't support a wine business in the county but in fact it has a flourishing industry. They do not have full bodied wines as they do not get enough heat in the vines but the Pinot is excellent. I never thought i would spend $70 on Canadian wine. I just did. 2) Lunch on the Patio They offer amazing wood fired pizza from their outdoor oven (now its not a Neapolitan style oven - leave that to a pizza snob like me) and also had fresh shucked oysters and clams on the menu. All the ingredients are fresh and sourced locally within the county and their dough is tasty as well due to the extra proofing they do. Sure wine is on the menu as well 3) The Winery Nothing fancy or pretentious in any way just a modern building with tastings upstairs (with some books and local food items), a tour of the winery itself (look down from the tasting room), look across to the fields to see the grapes and Norman is around to answer questions. I enjoy being able to meet and talk to the folks making the wine and their sense of pride comes out as opposed to the employee trained to speak the big box winery story. Add up all three and you have a great experience!

Yelp
The list of wine is pretty nice. Little overprice compared to others. Oven wood cooked pizza was exceptionnal and deserves a try. Nice place in its entity!
google avatar

Kimberley M.

Yelp
This was the last stop of the day for our group of wine tasters, and it was worth the extra few minutes. The staff are really into what they are part of, and they speak of the brand's namesake with a ton of pride and respect. The winery grows grapes on site but also imports from the Niagara region, so you can side-by-side compare a county pino noir, a niagara pino noir and a blend of the two. I think the county pino won my affection, but judge for yourself. There are also whites available, but I can't speak to those! They offer oven-fired pizza on a regular basis, so this would also make a nice lunch stop at the right time of day. We also noticed they offer Heirloom Farm seeds for sale, which was a nice addition.

Parker M.

Yelp
Had to give them one star because it's the minimum allowed. Went and there was a wait, I understand we put our name on the list. Waited 40 minutes and then it started to rain. Waited another 20 minutes until we asked how much longer the wait would be, then they bothered to tell us the kitchen was closed. I give the service an F, didnt get to try the pizza.
google avatar

Krys R.

Yelp
Norm produces some of the best wines in the country and this has to be a stop if you're ever in the county. Especially in the summer when the pizza oven is roaring and during the weekend the winery becomes a magical place - not quite like a restaurant and not fully a winery but something completely unique and unto it's own. Come for the wines, stay for the service, the pizza, and the beautiful view. I recommend to go near sunset as possible, they have the best views! Norman Hardie's winery is also close to other wineries so it's a convenient stop with some amazing wines. They also sell local produce and other things from all over so it's great to bring guests.

Yelp
Had the chance to finally visit this wine yard. Phenomenal Pinots, pricey but worth every penny. Had the opportunity to meet the vintner himself, which is always nice. Will definitely return. Another must visit, in the area, for Pinots is Exultet Winery. Similar price point, but again another winner. Can easily compete with Pinots from Cali, Oregon or NZ.

Yelp
Overrated and disjoint. 5 empty tables and 10 seater we were supposed to wait 1 hour and 15 mins. No thank you....

Yelp
During our exploration of the wines in the region, I found this place pretentious and over priced. You pay more just because they claim to be better. We Mich preferred the attitude, atmosphere and taste at Casa Dea directly across the road.

Yelp
Not impressed. We were a hindrance to letting them close early for the day. Call ahead to make sure they are actually open and want to serve you before you drive there.

Yelp
Was very busy when we went and tastings $2 per tasting. The priciest we have been to in the region. The tasting fee is only waved with purchase of $100 of alcohol. They are a bigger establishment and a bigger name. Therefore, the wines are also pricier than a lot of the other one in the area. The restaurant serving was packed as well during Saturday lunch time. Would recommend reservations

Yelp
An early dinner with the kids at the new pizza bar that just opened @normanhardiewinery - a kid-welcoming place with warm staff and a Pinot Noir that paired perfectly with our freshly wood-oven baked pie. It really reminded me of dining al fresco in Tuscany.

Yelp
Thin crust wood oven pizza, best I have had in Canada. Highly recommended. Worth the drive to Wellington County.

Yelp
Amazing food!! We were blown away by the pizza and fresh tomato salad! Literally the best pizza, super fresh toppings, seasoned perfectly, I wouldn't change a thing!! Fast service, beautiful scenery, great wine. If anyone plans to visit the area, this place is a MUST!!

Yelp
Norman Hardie seems quite "established" in the PEC wine circuit and that's why it was the first winery we went to. The building itself and the tasting area area were bare bones and unassuming, however, the front patio was bustling with patrons who were taking full advantage of the weather and their famous pizza oven. The wine tasting was a great experience; a lot to choose from and their pinot noir was indeed great. I was excited to see some products which I already enjoy in Toronto, like biscotti from Forno Cultura. Their collaboration with the Joe Beef restaurant in Montreal also adds an element of cool. Definitely a must go-to winery in the PEC.

Yelp
I stopped by on a beautiful summer day, so maybe that influences my score a little bit, but not much. This is a two part review: first the winery, then the food. I have been to the winery several times, each time drawn by Norm's wonderful County Pinot Noir. It is such a beauty, truly representative of what Ontario growers can achieve with their Pinot Noir if handled properly. Of course he has other wines to tempt the palate, but I shan't digress from my love of Pinot. Visit the winery and you too can taste the quality. If you are in it for the pizzas, check the schedule to see when the patio is open and they are serving them up. It is just a wonderful experience to sit on the patio and just enjoy!. As for the pizzas themselves, I just had the opportunity to try them for the first time, and man, they are good! And to top it off, he has excellent gluten free pizzas available as well! So choose your pizza, choose your glass to wine to accompany, and enjoy!

Yelp
This is a great place. Not only are the wines divine, but the location and setting are fantastic. Not to mention the amazing pizzas that are cooked outside and served with a glass of the incredible wine. One of the highlights of my PE County visit. I'm looking forward to enjoying the Pinot Noir and Riesling that we brought back with us. A great little gem that I hope to visit again one day.
