A cute quaint little restaurant with decent food. This place reminds me very much of a restaurant in Napa Valley. Cuisine is more Australian modern, Asian fusion. Owner was very friendly and host hospitable . A nice place for a relaxing meal down this way.

Food were pretty good, slightly pricey and do expect the food to be served in not less than 20 minutes. Lovely outdoor seating environment.

We got recommended to try here. We live in the Great Southern and really love supporting local people but I have to leave a not very good review. We were just so let down by the food. Smelt really good when arriving but the first let down was it took 30 minutes to be given menus and some water. We went in twice asking for menus and were told they were busy and they know we are there and will get to us when ready. There were empty tables around inside and only us and another two groups outside. Far from busy. The service verged on rude. Finally upon getting some menus and water the server was a little more friendly and told us the experienced chefs were amazing in the kitchen. After waiting for 30 mins for food it came out and honestly was pretty rubbish. The steak sandwich would have to be one of the least flavourful ones I’ve had. Another person with us also got the steak sandwich and was not pleased. For 31$ it was an absolute rip off, tiny piece of steak, stuff all salad, crap soggy chips and a small portion. Another of our party got the sea food crepe and once again had stuff all flavour to it. My partner got the chicken curry and again pretty let down from the hype it received from the server. I hate to leave a bad review but this was so frustrating. I don’t know if we just got a bad day but the service lacked and food was very average for the very high prices. At least we enjoyed sitting outside and the service got better as we stayed longer but in honestly we should have left when we saw the prices. Go for coffee and cake. Don’t bother with the food.

I really enjoyed my eating experience at Nornabar when I visited Walpole last time. My host highly recommended this place and I agreed, it is amazing! As we all know, Walpole is a small town with very limited eating options, so having this restaurant is very much appreciated. The lady owner is very3x friendly and she thought we had met before, but I don't think so 😁 Nevertheless talking to her, even if it's just for a bit because she's busy, it felt like talking to a friend. I had the chicken curry for dine-in and it's DELICIOUS!!! I also ordered the fried rice and ramen for takeaways (cos the next place I was going also didn't have any eating place), but unfortunately I didn't enjoy the fried rice much. I would stick to curry next time 😊 I'm so looking forward to coming back to Walpole and eat here again!

The food overall is really yummy and tasty but a bit pricey in my opinion Service is really nice and host was very welcoming even though we didn’t had a booking. Table setting was good as well with small candle light up in the middle.

To be frank, the food was alright. The fried chicken burger tasted like it was coated in a McCormick Katsu Breadcrumb (spice packet). It did the job and was a sufficient meal but not spectacular. I should have asked what their chef was passionate about in cooking and perhaps would have received something truly worth the Perth prices.

A fantastic laid back place. Staff were attentive and excellent. Little touches like refilling tea with more hot water was most welcome. Food was excellent and very well presented. The derests in particular were very nive. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

I only had dessert, but my God, it was divine ✨️ 😋 Great tea and coffee, too. Organic, loose-leaf tea was lovely. The service was fantastic, and the vibe felt relaxed with an impressive food and wine list.
