"Forget Noma - Nørrebro Bryghus Is Where You Need To Be Beer aficionados, listen up. I'd be willing to bet that your ale-induced reveries often took you to a place almost too good to be true, where the homemade beers not only rocked your socks but also your taste buds with a mouth-watering, upscale menu. Dream no longer, dear friends. And head to Copenhagen . The owner of Nørrebro Bryghus, Anders Kissmeyers, founded this brewery in the hopes of broadening the visitor's taste for Danish beer and improve their palate by offering high-quality, memorable products and an easy access to the brewing process. Mission accomplished. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am by no means a fan of beer, but the sheer atmosphere and dedication of the Nørrebro Bryghus employees made me giddy with excitement. With reason - this dinner was one of the most memorable experiences of my life, both on the alcohol and food level. I opted for the 3 course and 4 beers dinner - good food, good beers, and lots of fun, at affordable prices by Danish standards."

Good place to grab a drink. In an old factory so unique layout. There was dinning upstairs but it was closed the day I went. Downstairs the bar was small but nice seating and couches around to enjoy. A wide selection of beers.

Had a very good time, real nice food, lovely staff. Ordered the 7 course menus, vegan and non-vegan. Both excellent for a really good price. The portions aren't huge, but you will feel satisfied after the full menu. It's more of a fine dining experience than the fast casual experience you might expect at a brewery. Staff served us in excellent English, and was super friendly. We chose the beer pairing with our menus but the glasses were somewhat big compared to the sizes of the dishes. That could be a good thing but the pairing got misaligned, and we ended up with full glasses after our dessert. This was no big deal as we're big fans of craft beer, but it could devaluate the intended balance between the dishes and served beers. Nonetheless, the beers and the beer cocktail were absolutely great and the staff was eager to make accomodations to our liking. In short, we've had a great time, great value for money. Food was surprisingly good with interesting flavours. 🌱

We stopped by and had a fantastic lunch with some nice beers from their wide selection on tap. Freida recommended some great choices and we loved the atmosphere. Great choice if your looking for some good drinks and food!

Google
We had the 7 course menu. The meat and dessert were very nice and tasty, the previous courses were not that good. Aside that portions, even for two people, were very modest/small. Overall a nice experience, but not likely we'll coma back again.

Google
Fantastic place! Bryghus means Brewery - and we dined with the large tanks storing the running production brews. We had the 7 course menu with the beer menu added. And it was great! Delicious food - some of it with beer in it as well. I strongly recommend to get the supplemental bread - it is fabulous! I forgot pictures of the food so you will have to do with one of the cosy bar in the basement.

Google
Cool experience eating their rustic food while looking at a lot of copper and steel. I am fond the the brewery atmosphere. You can go there just for the beers, but if you think about eating there, just remember to order a table, as it can get very busy at times.

Google
Some of the best beers I've had. Really flavourful & a great selection. Not too far from the city center, cool set up with great music & nice staff. I think most people come for the resteraunt so unfortunately the downstairs bar was a bit overlooked when i was there.

Google
Nice bar, in the brewery. Atmosphere really hygge, staff helpful and smiling. The place what quite empty for some reason. But then it was super nice. Lot of space. Large selection of local beers. Confortable sofa. Not too loud music. I definitely recommend it.

Yelp
For Yelp's ThankYouThursday, I would like to highlight a neighborhood gem, Nørrebro Bryghus, a beer connoisseur's restaurant serving hearty local and seasonal cuisine paired with Nørrebro locally-made brewery ales. Nørrebro Bryghus is the first craft brewery in Copenhagen and collaborates with 108 Restaurant (sibling restaurant of NOMA) for the organic local draft beer served at 108 Restaurant. We tried the Baked haddock, Crushed potato, and Salty cabbage at Nørrebro Bryghus. Every bite was amazing! I don't think you can go wrong ordering here... plus the beer is perfect! Highly recommended! Thank you for being a part of making our trip to Copenhagen so special! Check out their super adorable menu with comics: https://noerrebrobryghus.dk/wp-content/uploads/Menukort_marts_engelsk.pdf Also, a tip for visiting Copenhagen, staying in the Nørrebro neighborhood is an affordable option with a hip, multicultural neighborhood, that is popular with students and creative types. Kebab joints and indie shops line the main road, Nørrebrogade, and late-night bars are tucked into the side streets. Foodies head to the high-end eateries and trendy coffee spots on Jægersborggade. Nearby, the leafy paths of Assistens Cemetery wind past the graves of such notables as Hans Christian Andersen and Søren Kierkegaard. It's just a short walk across the bridge from Nørrebro into downtown Copenhagen. (Neighborhood Description Source: AirBnB)

Yelp
Craft beer in Copenhagen, yes that sounds like my speed. We stopped here on our food tour and had quite a treat. Three very nice pours of three of their excellent beers. Served with a bowl of their cayenne-spiced almonds (awesome) and some spiced sausages (meh), we had three beers. New York Lager. Excellent pilsner and my favorite of the three. Ravnsborg Rød. A red ale that was quite good but not really my sort of flavor. You Gotta Pay the Troll Toll. A dark porter that was good for a porter but also not my sort of beer. But that's what's great about beer. The endless varieties and flavors. I found a favorite. Surely you can too. Yes, free wifi!

Yelp
Copenhagen is expensive but we found this to be overpriced for the overall value. Service was poor as a large table that was seated after us got served first and we felt largely forgotten about.

Yelp
The short of it: Awesome beer. Nice staff! The long of it: This was a location that was pre-bookmarked before getting to Copenhagen. So we took it upon ourselves to come in one evening to check it out. And I am so glad we did. The upstairs is a fancier brewpub with table service and food. Downstairs is a dark, cozy bar area. Both times I came here, I spent my time in the lower level bar. Yes..."both times". I enjoyed it enough that I returned twice during my week-long Copenhagen visit! The Norrebro neighborhood is cool and I really liked exploring the area around the restaurant as well. And the pub has several outdoor tables as well, if the weather is nice enough to enjoy it. As far as beer goes, they have a varied list made up of their own beers as well as lots of other local offerings. To my delight, they have a lot of sours to offer. So my beer taste buds were easily pleased! They also have a cooler full of special beers in cans and bottles that you can buy and enjoy. I even spied some Kentucky Breakfast Stout in there! The staff is wonderful. They gave great recommendations, were patient while you were deciding what to get...good folks. The patrons are also pretty a-ok. One day there was a bachelorette party there and they were having a good time without deafening everyone else in the bar. I had a fun conversation with a fellow traveler as well. Like I said, I enjoyed myself so much, that I returned a second time within the week! If I recall correctly, the beers come in two sizes, and anything that is a full pour can also be ordered in a half-pour size. I would absolutely encourage anyone to give the spot a try! I actually wish I could go back *again* and actually get to try their food!

Yelp
Do you need a big place for a private (company) party in the centre of the city? Here you are. Great spot with a few separate sections. They are ready to load their customers up with beer. The beer is good. Taste is very individual and hard to judge, but the beer I liked most is APA (its correct not IPA). Check it out. I like the fact that you can see entire brewery. They actually have two. One is the big one, with two tanks and a computer in the middle and one smaller one, which is probably for experimenting. I think they really play with beer and they have huge passion for beer. Im taking off one star because of some missing soul in there. Its not about interior. In place like that I would expect people be crazy about their product. Not only to make, but also to sell. I didn't try food (I dont count fries we ordered for the table), but I promise, I will be back and I will go for something and I will let you know. Thank you for reading it and dont forget, life is tasty! :)

Yelp
A friend called this place a 'gastro-brewery' when we entered and he wasn't wrong - it's probably the swankiest brewery environment I've ever seen; an impressive space but probably a bit too polished for my tastes in a beer house. You can see the brewery on the ground floor as you enter and the stairs lead up to the large bar and restaurant. As you'd expect, Nørrebro brewery's ales feature heavily on the list and we duly ordered from the extremely friendly manager. We inadvertently arrived at the wrong time for food - the hour between 4pm and 5pm is apparently when kitchens close down so the chefs and staff can eat - but the manager was a legend and arranged for two bowls of chips to be brought out for us. Sat outside in the afternoon sun, we chomped down on those delicious triple-cooked chips, enjoyed our beers and then wandered on. Wonderful staff and good beer aside, I probably wouldn't dash back here for drinks again - perhaps for an evening meal though.

Yelp
This was my first meal at a restaurant in Copenhagen. It was based on a recommendation from my wife's boss. Based on this experience, I will continue to follow his recommedations... We did the three course tasting menu. Both of us ordered the fried hake for the appetizer, the veal rump steak and brisket for dinner, and the chocolate porter ice cram for dessert. I also got beer pairings with every course based on the waitress's recommendation. The hake was lightly fan fried. The stars of the dish were the cream sauce, dill oil, and puréed edamame on the side. The veal dish featured carrots multiple ways including a carrot purée and crispy carrot curls that added a charred, salty element that really made the dish pop. These two courses were top notch and what you would expect after hearing about restaurants in Denmark. The dessert was well composed just like the appetizer and entree were, but I did not care for the junket foam that accompanied the ice cream. The beers were good and went nicely with the meal but were not life-changing. Service was excellent. The atmosphere was modern and non-pretentious. Overall it was a great way to start my trip to Denmark.

Yelp
Everyone raves about his place! I think on a Friday/Saturday night it is probably an awesome place, but on your own at the bar it isn't very social. The bartender seemed like she was in a different world. She never waited on me unless I flagged her down. I had the waitresses from the rest of the restaurant waiting on me. Maybe she was new? If that is the case-sorry for being critical. I had beef tartare which was very good, but the menu is designed for a group. Ala carter is expensive. The beers are good I had the brown ale and it was really nice. Unfortunately, I was wishing for better, friendly service. It was very impersonal. If you bring your own crowd you will have fun. But bring your Money too! Otherwise go elsewhere. It could be the best place ever! With a little adjustment in the items mentioned above!

Yelp
This place was recommended to me by a friend that had lived in Copenhagen for a bit so I decided to give it a try. I went during the weekday at lunchtime so it was empty and quiet. They have a nice (on the smaller side) collection of beers, some their own and some from local microbreweries. I wanted to try a few so I ordered a snack and sampler special. It included five tasters and the snack platter that I attached on the picture. The beers were delicious and the snacks were too. I actually ordered them without understanding what they were!

Yelp
Large group dinner. Staff was super friendly and efficient. Knowledgeable about the beer and the history of the spot. Really nice. Food was cod over mashed potatoes and shaved beets. Nice taste. Nothing special. Dinner was the guineafowl with kale and mashed potatoes. Also ok. Four kind of beers served More suited for the beer lover...

Yelp
We were part of a food tour in Copenhagen and had the pleasure of stopping in for a small beer tasting. Although it was incredibly hot, the Pub had a very good vibe to it. You can see where they brew and watch part of the batch processing while enjoying a pint. The food aroma was amazing too - although we didnt get to try any of the food. We sampled three types of beers including a Brown ale that was very smooth. It was a fun little afternoon stop and I would recommend for those who like beer or like to pair beer with food.

Yelp
Nice place, great atmosphere, good selection of drafts and very friendly service! I like it! ....oh, and the steaks are awesome!

Yelp
I have been here a couple of times, one of them was out dining with friends. I do like the concept of having a bar and restaurant in a brewery and I do like their beers, but for me, Nørrebro Bryghus is a bit too correct. It is all very clean and well planned and I like it, but there can also be a bit too much of it, so much that it looses it's personality. Basically like walking into an IKEA exhibition, but for beers. The food was alright, I have had better as well, so now I mostly pop by for a quick beer on my way somewhere. After the renovation a month or so ago it got a bit more cozy, getting rid of the bright colours and replacing the menus with chalkboards (they can be a bit confusing though). The staff all wear suspenders and jean shirts, as the rest of the place it is very hip, very correct, which again can be a bit too much. Prices are in the higher range, a beer and a cappuccino will set you back at least a 100DKK. If you like Nørrebro Bryghus beers, there are better places to get it. But you should go here and check out the place just for the experience, remember the tanks (you really can't miss them) on your left as you enter.

Yelp
Freshly arrived from Seattle and jet lagged, and in need of fresh air and exercise, headed here for a local brew. Brew capacity is 900-1000 liters per batch with about ten beers available at any one time. The Baltic Porter was especially tasty today. Another bonus right now in conjunction with the Copenhagen jazz festival is free jazz starting from 930 pm each night. Service is very friendly.
google avatar

Bruner S.

Yelp
Small portions, either over or under flavored main dishes, dessert was ok. Way overpriced

Yelp
Woohoo! Almost as good as it gets. This brewery/bar/restaurant is a must visit, when in Copenhagen. I think it`s a wonderful idea to turn the technical side of beer production into an element of decoration as it makes you feel like you are really much closer to beer making process. I liked the ambiance - warm, cozy, nice selection of music and couple of candles here and there - it`s not a place for a party, but a great spot to relax and enjoy your evening. Apart from some snacks, we did not try the food, but it looked tempting. But the BEER - mmm, I had tried Norrebro Bryghus beers from the bottle and I wasn`t a big fan, but this time - 10 out of 10. I had the Wheat beer and tried also Baltic Porter - both of them were pure magic - so flavorful and creamy. I have seen some bad feedbacks about the service and I can agree a little bit - there are many people working but it looks like crazy bees running around with no direction. A girl that took our order completely forgot about it and we sat quite a while trying to get their attention. But she was really sweet and fixed this by giving us a discount on our first round. Also this place is a slightly higher than Copenhagen`s average, but I think it is worth paying (at least for the beers) and atmosphere. Go and check it out yourself, I`m quite sure you`ll like it.

Yelp
I have only been to the downstairs portion of the Norrebro Bryghus, so this review is only for that and not for the upstairs dining room. The beers were good and the food was quite amazing in my opinion. I had the steak served with haricots vert, garlic confit, potatoesand sauce bearnaise. The steak was a large portion and probably the best steak I've had in a while. Perfectly cooked to medium rare and the garlic confit was just so so delicous in that sweetly pungent way. The decor downstairs is surprisingly bare, but maybe that's just my unfamiliarity with scandanavian decor speaking. But overall, I loved the food, the service, and the beers. I also noticed Scrabble boards on the side of the room, so maybe if you come with some friends, you can grab beers and play a game! I would love to come back and try that.

Yelp
A very interesting restaurant that brews its own beer! We went for the 5 course meal that actually has a different beer with each course. From what I was told, some restaurants like to get back to their viking roots and prepare some food in that way. Well in this case, one of the courses was pork. It tasted good but honestly, it seemed that 50% of it was fat but well cooked and to me, didn't really taste like fat. Well, I realized it the next day however when it came back out! If your stomach cannot handle much fatty food or greasy food, you can opt for a steak instead. Of course I didn't know what was expected at the time. As for the 5 beers - they were all excellent! Well 4 of the 5 were. The last one, the dark one that was served with dessert had a slight woody coffee taste to it. Great! Try the place out if you get the chance, at least for a beer. The menu isn't cheap though!

Yelp
Delicious beer and food. Excellent service.

Yelp
Dropped in just for a taste of the homemade beer and were not disappointed. The standard brew and an "experimental" called The prince of darkness" were both delicious. Had some crisps and olives as snacks, presentation was nice and service was quick and friendly. Would come here again for a proper dinner.

Yelp
Nørrebro Bryghus was recommended to us by Thilde, the Sommelier of Kong Hans Kælder on our very first meal in Copenhagen. Having just been to Mikkeler Bar right before dinner, I was stoked on the beer scene here. You ask any sommelier at any fine restaurant about Danish wine and you'll get a lot of sad reactions. The beer however, they're very proud of. I can see why. Like Mikkeler's avant guard approach and partnership for Noma's beer, Nørrebro Bryghus does a traditional beer for Schønnemann's to go with their most beloved of Danish dishes, Smørrebrød. Nice dark color, smooth palate, and most importantly it goes well with food. A tasty offering if you're into the brew arts.
google avatar

Jordi F.

Yelp
Super hygge restaurant where you can drink tasteful home-made beers. Lots of candles and soft lights. Good service and nice environment (rather big restaurant tho, so can be a bit noisy)
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Fantastic space, very reminiscent of a few American urban brewpubs. Lots of light, polished wood, cool industrial loft-y space. Comfy seating, friendly staff. Once they realized I was American, the staff ended up chatting with me for quite a while about Danish and American craft beers, and my impressions of each. One of the best IPAs I had in Denmark. I got there after lunch, so I didn't try the food, but the menu looked great.
google avatar

Yelp
The three stars are for the food and the service.. We went there to have dinner with friends. Can't say I got too overwhelmed with the food. Somehow I feel the portions were small, although quite tasty and the service was not as exquisite as I would expect for this price range. On the other hand going to the bryghus for a beer and sitting outside in the street gives a better experience. The beers are good (a bit expensive but ok) and even the bar downstairs can be cool in a cold night.. I just wouldn't go back for the food itself.

Yelp
I think I might have had this season's last outdoors beer here last weekend. The Copenhagian sun was shining like never before and made it durable to rest ones behind on the wooden outside benches of Nørrebro Bryghus. It didn't take long before the waitress approached us and asked what we would like. Seeing as we were too busy talking about how nice everything was (typical of Norwegians), we weren't ready. When we were ready shortly after, the waitress (very smiley and nice btw) had vanished. After some time, we managed to order beer and food. I got myself an IPA called "Skinny Bitch", which was quite good, even though the name was what it was. The food consisted of a beef sandwich, which didn't taste that much and some very yummy french fries. My friend ordered a smaller scallop dish, but was a bit disappointed at how small the dish actually was. With dark, sterile and brewery fitting interiors, Nørrebro Bryghus is perhaps not the most cosy location for a fall or winter evening. But they sure do have a lot of different beer. It is probably very nice for groups who want to learn more about beer and brewing of such. If it hadn't been for the lovely weather and possibility to sit outside, this might have been a 3-star review.

Giulio U.

Yelp
Four stairs to the downstairs bar, the atmosphere is very nice, although I much prefer smaller less "refined " bar ! Three star to the restaurant upstair, the food is very nice and so is the selection. Genuine ingredients, Scandinavian taste and a lot of choice ! Yet I feel that the price is a bit too high and the service a bit too fast. Would I recommend it? Yes, especially if friends/family from abroad are visiting. Maybe not exciting enough for an average occasion :D
google avatar

Christian P.

Yelp
Great place for beer, they make it themselves. The offer circulates regularly, so they will have beers matching the season which is more than most places will be able to offer. Besides this you can get food in the bar or treat yourself at the restaurant above. The bar also offers reading material, mostly the newest papers and magazines, but also books on brewing and beer.
google avatar

GT W.

Yelp
Modern, trendy brewpub sort of out secluded that requires quite the hike to visit. Decor is posh and minimalist, modern. Beers on tap were exclusively their own, which all had DMS problems from perhaps poor ventilation and a new organic malt supplier. Tasting samples available in 25cL glasses, which I thought were pretty large for tasters. Another patron had 10cL glasses - I inquired about them but was brushed off. Didn't try any food, but it looked a bit upscale. No normal bar snacks on the menu that I saw. Staff was generally disinterested in serving us requiring me to loiter at the bar more than once even though the place was empty.
google avatar

Courtney W.

Yelp
I've been here twice now, and I've been dissatisfied twice. Everything is overpriced, even for Copenhagen. There's nothing special about the food and you can get better beer elsewhere. Our server was horrible. We had to chase down our server to get our check, even after we told him my sister was feeling ill. Overall, all my experiences here have been awful. There are so many amazing restaurants in Copenhagen, and this is not one of them. Don't waste your money or time.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Went here with my boyfriend and had a beer and some food. The waiters were very friendly (which is rare in Copenhagen) and they knew their beers well. The food was actually very good (i was a bit surprised, because this is all in all a brewery) and the beer were off course great. Very nice atmosphere and I would recommend it any day for beer lovers!
google avatar

Annai S.

Yelp
They make really good beer their food is not that nice. The place is lovely to visit and have the atmosphere of the whole brewery behind.
google avatar

Virginia Y.

Yelp
The concept is similar to Mikeller's, handcrafted beer and what not but they have less choices to choose from. I must admit, the atmosphere felt very American. My favorite is the ravnsborg rød. Just because it's the fruitiest. When compared to Mikeller, I prefer the beer from Nørrebro Bryghus, but when comparing the atmosphere, both are equally good in their own sense. I love the lighting in Nørrebro Bryghus, it's more cozy than Mikeller but I love the branding and social atmosphere at Mikeller.

Pat C.

Yelp
Disappointed for the first time after this fifth visit in 2 years. Service- slow. Fish - excellent. Meat - can't do rare. Risotto- strangest looking over cooked rice offering we've seen in a while. Redeeming feature? The brews.

Yelp
Great food and even better beer. Try the whole beer menu with the small 25cl glasses

Yelp
Great beer paired with upscale feeling food... the combination was a little strange, but I enjoyed our time there.
