Norseman Great Western Motel

Nothing looked or felt clean. The blue towels are all bleached and shabby. 2nd time here only because there wasn't anywhere else to stop and rest before travelling through. Shower curtains are gross, old, and blow in on you whilst trying to shower. The room was meant to have a microwave, but no microwave, so we brought meals with us but had to go to the servo for food, which was terrible . Horrible experience both times. Beds are also old and need new mattresses.

Clean, variety of rooms with parking on doorstep, however you need to book well in ahead if you want a budget style room. This room is standard. There is fully catered restaurant with a live fire 🔥 in the evening and nice communal courtyard with BBQ next to the pool. Also laundry facilities available free of charge, just collect washing detergent at reception if needed. Tip: Put the heater on upon arrival as it gets down to 1 degree during winter. Convenience: Its situated in a convenient location - next door to Ampol and caravan park. Nice stroll to the town centre for those staying a couple of nights.

Our stay here was great. Very comfy room , spacious, nice table with lookout.|Great bed great wifi. Very hardworking manager!! ||We decided to have drinks and dinner. Lovely French girls serving, so friendly. We had delish garlic bread, a very nice Greek salad and a schnitzel to share. All very nice and reasonably priced, drinks too. Pool having a nice Reno too. A big thumbs up from us!

This was called a 'Budget Queen Room' so we were expecting basic accommodation. What we weren't expecting was a 'shoebox' with a queen bed squeezed in. Please don't bring luggage - there's no-where to put it and I don't mean there's no shelf or wardrobe. There's no room except to walk over it beside your bed and the little table for kettle. There was one thin blanket, and only one bedside lamp. We had to ask for an extra lamp and an extra 2 pillows so we could sit up and read. The TV only shows one channel because they're is no aerial. The 200ml square tile mirror is clearly too small to accommodate both a man for shaving and women of various heights for make-up. I could see the top of my hair only. Really? How much does a decent size mirror cost? You can't have fresh air overnight because the screen door doesn't latch (broken). If you want to heat up your own meal in a microwave, there is only one in the laundry. Very atmospheric! The lovely pool is out of operation. They don't sell wine by the glass in the bar - "too much wastage" apparently, you must buy a bottle. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

I stayed hear twice the 1st room was beauitful the second time i stay the room was quite disappointing however it was clean, tidy and quite. It is what it is for where it is. On the 1st stay i was not told about the broken hot water system untill i arrived even tho it was broken for 3 days prior, however i was offered a discount and i understand why they didn't inform earlier. Bonus for you new hot water systems now. 😉 4 stars due to the service from the team there, I love the country style service where people actually care about there travellers. Great position to see wave rock.

It's the only motel around the area to stop on the way with a restaurant. Facilities like the pool were under construction so it was closed. The rooms are small with basic amenities - TV, fridge, kettle, tea & coffee. The bathroom just had small tubes of shampoo and nothing else but that's fine. The restaurant is nice, they had great food. Since it's the only restaurant around it's always packed and takes 20-30 minutes for the meals to arrive but that's understandable so please allow time for the staff. The rates are better than Nullarbor and other remote area hotels we've been to. I ordered the Korean chicken from the daily chef specials and it was amazing!

What a lovely surprise when we arrived into this oasis and checked in by the lovely Christine (think that's her name) Our pet friendly room was definitely the best we've stayed in since leaving Tassie. Clean, comfortable and a lovely fresh smell. We ate at the restaurants. The food was excellent as was the service and very fair prices. Can definitely recommend and would stay here again. Thank you Norseman Great Western Motel and staff.

The lovely Christine couldn't have been more helpful. The food was affordable but so damn good you could have been eating in an uber upmarket restaurant! Highly recommend the Surf and Turf and Creme caramel, also our brekky was pretty awesome as well!
