There is something very special about this mountain inn. It’s set close to a little town with lots of choice for restaurants and great shopping too. This is such a beautiful location - the view from the room was amazing. The lady on reception was friendly and helpful. I stayed one night with my daughter after a trip to Mount Washington during the day. Next time, I’d stay longer to explore more locally - it’s a stunning part of the world!

We had the most wonderful experience from the most happy host. We needed a stay at last minute and she and her granddaughter accommodated us in every way possible. They gave us great recommendations, ice, friendliness. I will never forget-- thank you - beacon in the night 🌙 💙

We had a wonderful stay at the North Conway Mountain Inn during our road trip to New Hampshire! We originally booked at the sister location, however received a call that we were upgraded free of charge to the Mountain Inn! It was the perfect accommodations for what we needed, with a beautiful view on the balcony to have our coffee with in the mornings! The front desk staff was so welcoming and accommodating, even letting us borrow a microwave to heat up our dinner one evening. The room was clean, comfortable and simple, with some charming touches. Location was great access to a lot of sites, stores, and coffee locations.

We ended up booking this property because we accidentally messed up our bookings and had to change/cancel reservations after everything was already booked up. After reading reviews, I think they are so up and down due to the way people review. This Inn is listed as a 2 star hotel and that’s what you get. What happened is, we paid about 4 star price so that’s how this review will go. The lady at check in is super friendly and helpful. Amazing customer service from everyone. Now for $422 a night, beds and pillows need to be updated about 300 sleeps ago or maybe they’ve always been that load and uncomfortable (I was fine but my 200 lb husband had a hard sleep). Mattresses are super cheap and noisy. View is great but our screen fell off when we opened the window (and no we didn’t call the front office because if we called for every little thing, our trip would have been fixing things rather than going out to do things). The TV had an issue and they came and fixed it but again, for $422 a night, not an issue we should be dealing with after a busy day with a 4 year old. The smell was also just an old musty, stale smoke smell and it was definitely inside the room, not out. So all in all, for a 2 star hotel, rating is a 10/10. For a hotel for $422, rating is a 2 or 3. I get dynamic pricing since there was a festival in town but this room shouldn’t ever cost more than $79/night for what you get.

The staff at the desk are very helpful and local to area! They were able to give us some great local suggestions we loved. Also was accommodating to late check in even though we did arrive in time. Our rooms were clean. The beds comfortable. We had a deck with a mountain view! Close by to every some even walking distance. Rates are the best in town. I will come back! I am glad I found North Conway mountain inn.

Great scenery, excellent service, and great prices. Highly recommended! This is probably the best place within the budget in the area.

Google
The guy working the front desk was super friendly and helpful! He was the highlight of the stay. The rooms have pretty views off the deck! The room was good enough. Dated, but mostly clean. It definitely could use some TLC. We booked a room with a queen bed and I am 99% sure the room we were in had a full bed. We have a queen at home and that was way smaller than our bed. The bed had a crinkly mattress cover and wasn’t that comfortable. I think this place is ok for a night or two if you are trying to be budget conscious!

Google
Greeted by friendly and informative desk person. Room was outdated but clean. Nice view from balcony but was cloudy day upon arrival. Bath towels extremely thin. Bed was a bit hard and flat pillows. Was okay for short stay. We only stayed for 1 night.

Yelp
The staff is the only reason i gave it 2 stars. the bathroom was in rough shape. the sink drained slowly, the toilet felt like it was going to fall over and the grout in the shower looked dirty. The room had wallpaper pealing and the placement of the TV made it hard for both of us to watch. we will not be staying here again.

Yelp
Stayed one night and was pleasantly suprised. The room was clean and comfy.....it had a cosy feel due to the decor (wallpaper made room feel warm). Excellent front desk staff! Would definitely stay there again.

Yelp
I can't say I have any complaints. We got what we paid for. Had we paid $350 a night, we would have reason to complain but we didn't. We paid approximately $350 for two nights. What we got was a clean, safe comfortable room, in a great location with spectacular views of the mountains. We are definitely staying there again and I'm recommending it to people we know that don't want to pay outrageous prices to basically just sleep in a room. If your just looking for a clean place to stay with no frills then book this place. If you don't care how much you spend then stay at the Hilton down the street for more than double the price. And don't use the excuse that you get breakfast at the Hilton. Trust me your paying for it one way or another.

Yelp
The staff as great, views were greate and location good. The room was clean but bated. The deck was nice but has a smell of cigarette buts because there was a cup filled with cigarette buts. There were cigarette ashes all over the deck. It would be a nice touch to have a little table to put your drinks while sitting on the deck. When I went to take a shower the shower did not work. I would recommend getting new towels as your towels are dingey, thin and scratch. I felt bad telling the front desk woman about the cigarettes and broken shower. She did not know what to say other then sorry and she would have the shower looked at.

Kristen M.

Yelp
Good luck to you if you have a family emergency shortly after check-in which requires you to miss the entire weekend that was paid for in full because you will not get a penny reimbursed to you, or a response for that matter after repeated attempts to contact the owner.

Yelp
Pros and cons to this Inn: Staff very friendly and accommodating. Recommended things based on why we were visiting, requests were accommodated quickly. Centrally located. The Inn definitely needs updating but my room was clean and comfortable. Nice balcony off the room with a view of the mountains. Three issues that I didn't care for were no outlets/charging stations for cellphones near the night table between the two beds, had to plug them in across the room. One of the towels in the bathroom had two big holes in it. (quickly replaced) The air conditioning unit really blasts out the air. Even on low and on auto. I slept in the bed next to the unit and felt like I was trying to sleep in a wind tunnel when it kicked in. But at least it worked! Front desk not manned overnight, only there until 9pm. Pretty quiet but stayed on an off weekend, inn was not fully booked. Not sure what the noise level would be on a busy weekend. Would give this place another shot.

Yelp
Such a great hotel! I would come here every night when I had to stay at a hotel. beds were comfy great Mountain View, and the amazing food around it is what is tending me to write this. Amazing hotel and I would rate this 10 stars if I could.

Yelp
I give it a zero star for cleanliness. When we walk in it was so hot no air conditioning on the room smelled. I immediately called down to the front desk and the girl brought up a can of Glade air freshener spray. We didn't stay long in our room because we went downtown for the events and fireworks, but when we got I got into the shower and there is hair from the last guest suck on the wall of the shower. Also, was disgusting because they paint over the mold. I'm not sure if they are aware that it can cause respiratory problems for a guest like me that has asthma. They really need to update their wallpaper it's peeling. In addition, they need to fix their blinds they're broke so it's Eerie feeling knowing someone could be peeping in. I have attached pictures. On their defense I thought this place was the White Mountain Hotel. I read the wrong reviews, so that is my fault because there's no way I would have stayed here. I have to say the view on the balcony is gorgeous. We had a good night sleep very comfortable bed and pillows. Th location very close to shopping, restaurants

Jonathan R.

Yelp
The worst night of sleep I've ever had in an Inn. The coils from the mattress dug into my head and back all night. I thought I was sleeping on the box spring instead of a mattress. The pillows were only about 3 inches thick which added to the lack I sleep that evening. When I went to complain about the accommodations the office was closed until 9:00 the next day. Do your due diligence before you choose this Inn.

Yelp
I've come up to North Conway and New Hampshire In general since I was a kid. So around 30 years or so. This is my first experience with this hotel. While hotels are not the cleanest places since you can only do so much to make the place sanitary. I thought for the most part it was vacuumed and the bathroom was clean. The view of the mountains is definitely what you pay some money for too. My complaints are all very small but they add up to a poor experience. The sheets on the bed were not fitted but the flat sheet that does hold on the bed at all. The mattress in general has a lot to be desired and I don't even have that many needs for comfort. Like other reviews, I had three cracked blinds in the four windows in the whole room. Thankfully the tiny bathroom blinds were okay. The plumbing of other lodgers is soooooo loud. Right now it's been 20 minutes of someone's water loudly running. I'm glad I was up early or else I'd be crabby. The vent in the room is also loud. It definitely scared me more than one kicking on and off when I was on the balcony. My bedside light did not work either. It kind of sucked since I love to read in bed. This is more of a suggestion. The bathroom light also turns on the fan. It makes way more sense to have those two functions have their own switch. I'd rather not wake up my husband at 1pm when I use the bathroom because the fan is running. It only made me decide to just not turn the light on. With all that being said, I didn't pay much for the four nights I stayed. It just goes to show you get what you paid for.

Yelp
A cute motel with an amazing view. I've stayed here twice and my only complaint is the bed was very creaky. The woman who works at the front desk is incredibly kind and helpful, and the location is great. The service is what makes me keep coming back here.

Yelp
Great prices & location. Staff was very nice and accommodating. We stayed during a snow storm and they let us check out late so we could clean off the car and wait for the roads to be safe. Customer service like that is amazing. We also loveed our private balcony view!
google avatar

Yelp
View on the balcony is amazing!!! Clean room and reasonably priced... $99 for night in August. I'd stay again.

Yelp
Updating my review since I obviously booked here for the second time. Why? Because for $79 a night I already knew what I was getting: a no frills place to crash with a killer view. I added an extra star as it is a little nerve wracking traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic. I packed a disinfectant bag (disinfecting wipes etc) to wipe and spray everything down before we unpacked the car. I discovered that after I wiped everything down there was absolutely no residue on the wipe. Pretty impressive and shows that they thoroughly cleaned the room. Once again THIS PLACE IS CLEAN but there are still minor things that irks me a bit. No fitted sheets on the bed and our bedspread was stained (easy fix: just took the bedspread off). Also something to sit outside more comfortably to enjoy the view. An awning for the rooms on the second floor would be great so the sun isn't beating down on you (we had a first floor room last time).

Yelp
Up for the weekend from Philly and had a great time here. The room I had had a beautiful Mountain View, BEAUTIFUL !! It was clean and comfortable and the front desk was very helpful. Wish I could've stayed longer.

Yelp
So where do I begin? This place is rated 2.5 stars on Travelocity, so it was at our price range. The pictures on Travelocity honestly make it look considerably bigger and more secluded than it is and they're really banking on their mountain view, which I grant you is spectacular, and every room appears to have this view. When we pulled up... honestly I started to worry. It looked like they were in the middle of cleaning. Their were yellow bags outside a lot of the doors. The exterior needs work. Chipped paint and damaged posts on the balconies, were not a good sign. It also didn't help matters that when we went to check in, the room was not ready... at 2pm. Okay... Not sure what they did as my wife found candy on the floor a few times. We drove around for a while and came back. We had realized fairly last minute that there was a, mistake on our reservation with Travelocity. We booked four (2 adults 2 kids) but the site booked it as 4 adults and up charged us. Despite the last minute catch, the hotel corrected it, and fixed out bill. Bonus points for that, not all hotels would have. Then we got up to the room. That's where things turned around for the better. The wallpaper is slightly dated, but inoffensive. The rooms are spacious enough for us to be comfortable. As I said before the view is spectacular. The mattresses are firm, so if you have a bad back or like stiff mattresses, you'll be happy. The shower... powerful, but not for tall people. All in all, it's an okay place that's conveniently near everything up here. However if you're planning on staying in the room for anything more than sleep, you may want to shell out for something a little higher in the star rating.

Yelp
ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE FRAUDULENT MOTEL I booked online and the fraudulent motel states it's "DOG FRIENDLY." I arrived with my trained 12lb shitzu and the manager said "we don't allow dogs" but can waive that rule if you pay a $10 dog charge and $10 cleaning fee. I told her what the hotel states on line about being "dog friendly" and she said "well that's not correct and it needs to be updated." It was 8 pm so I had to pay. Also, the rooms smelled old and musty and the mattress was hard as a rock. Pay the extra $$ and get a real motel. Also, the so called "free internet service" only works if you go outside your room onto the splintered pressure treated decks. Total disgrace - AVOID this run down dump.

Yelp
Motel 6 with a view. Only room left during a holiday weekend and needed to do something with the kids. Smelly. No pool. Loud neighbors. Etc.

Yelp
Definitely not what we expected, probably should have read Yelp. We did get a good price. As others have stated, great view. That's about it. The floor in the closet was sunken in. Mold in the bathroom all along the ceiling. Bed was uncomfortable. However, the most annoying factor was he hours the front desk is open. We arrived around 9 PM for check-in. Front desk was closed and our key was left taped to the door. Whatever it was late. Sunday morning we went to ask if we could get a second key at 8:30 AM and they weren't opened! I've never experienced this with a hotel or motel anywhere. Made me think, what if I actually really needed their assistance?

Mary C.

Yelp
The good parts of this hotel are; the gorgeous mountain view from the private deck, the friendly office staff, and gorgeous hanging plants. That is where the good ends. The whole place is very dated, all the rooms and decks need a redo. The beds are full or queen size, no kings, as far as I know. The beds are very uncomfortable, even with the cheap egg crate type mattress topper. ( Gross!) You can roll into the middle of the bed and get lost in the hole. The mini blinds have pieces missing, so privacy doesn't seem to be a concern for them. The shower was broken, giving both tub and shower water at the same time. Also, there was something on the faucet area that should have been screwed into the shower wall. There was a cheap water saver shower head, and the whole thing was way too low. Also, the water was WAY too hot! There was a large bulge in the sheet rock near the bathroom window, approximately 12 by 8 inches. Perhaps the had a water leak and painted over it? Sheet rock doesn't form a big bulge by itself. This could be a wonderful place if they put some money into it.

Kameron K.

Yelp
They provide everything you need for a vacation, a place to relax and sleep in between activities! With cheap rates, that's all you're really paying for, especially during COVID-19. The staff was very polite and helpful and having a balcony was an added bonus!

Yelp
Booked through internet. I arrived early for check in, yet the hostess was accommodating and set me up with a room so I could get settled in. Additionally she took the time and took out a map and showed me points of interest that I might be interested in. She was an excellent concierge as well! The room was clean and tidy. The view from the balcony was beautiful. When I am on the road, I look for a room that is clean, has a comfortable bed, the bathroom is clean and of course reasonably priced. All my expectations were met. I do not need fancy amenities... I just want a clean quiet room to crash after a long day. If you are looking for a "base" to launch from while visiting the White Mountain areas then this your place. You get wifi and a TV; you are within walking/driving distance from decent places to eat; and if you have a pet, well they will allow that too. What else could one ask for? When I come back to the area, this Inn will be my first choice.

Yelp
"Meh. I've experience better." Yelp's description of two stars is exactly right. I stayed here in September for one night and while it wasn't horrible, there were a couple of things that bothered me about the place. There was a basket of plastic flowers on top of the TV Cabinet and when I opened the cabinet to turn on the TV, I saw a bunch of things scurry away. The basket and TV cabinet had an enormous web filled with spiders on it. There was at least 40 spiders (not exaggerating-I stopped counting at 35) crawling all over the TV Cabinet and the flowers. They were small but it grossed me out to think that no one had cleaned the area in awhile - if they had, 40 spiders could not have been living there. I know it's just spiders-it could have been way worse but when was the last time that area was dusted? I also found our shower curtain had pink mold all over the bottom. Ick. When was the last time they washed it??? It made me wonder what else in the room hadn't been cleaned. Gross! I emailed the hotel afterwards to let them know about this stuff. I had said I wasn't going to write a review and make the situation worse than it was but I am really disappointed that they never responded to the email. So the bet is off, the review is going up. I wasn't looking for a refund or anything -just wanted them to acknowledge that they were going to remedy the situation so future guests didn't have the same problems. I know a resort town like North Conway can get away with charging outrageous prices and have hotel room decor that needs updating because people are coming to stay no matter what, but that doesn't mean that cleaning and customer service should go out the window.

Yelp
Horrible, just horrible experience with this hotel and staff. As I read the comments below. It appears others have had the same experience. The BBB should really look into this hotel and management. We had booked a 2 night stay here and received our confirmation code confirming our stay through the hotel directly, we had stated we had a dog as well. We later received a call that the hotel did not have any rooms to accommodate our stay with a dog the second night. We had driven about 5 hours during a holiday weekend to stay here! I asked the woman on the phone if she could do anything to help us out because we had driven so far. She said no, I repeated to her "ma'am we had driven 4 hours and are an hour away. You had given us a us a confirmation code stating we could stay." She got frustrated with me and stated no ma'am things happen in a short amount of time." I asked again, she then stated she would get her manager. She picked up the phone and stated there is nothing they could do. I don't think she ever asked. I then asked if they could please cancel our 2 night stay without a fee. She hesitated! With resistance she finally said okay. This is poor, rude and insulting customer service, she had ended up hanging up on us! Now we needed to find a dog friendly hotel, on a holiday weekend in a small town! Thanks Mountain View Inn! I also keep checking my credit card to ensure they do not charge us, as I now do not trust this hotel!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful stay!! The staff was amazing, the views incredible, the rooms clean and large sized (with coffee and a small fridge), and the beds soooo comfy! I feel like the reviews on here are really putting this place down, but we had an amazing time and I couldn't disagree with the bad reviews more. Do people come to this site just to complain? We will DEFINITELY be back!! Our new home away from home!

Laurence C.

Yelp
Solid choice in Conway. Great view. Private balcony. Large clean room. Enough said.
google avatar

Laura J.

Yelp
The view was amazing BUT the smell of cigarettes was overwhelming. It clearly states no smoking in the rooms but the decks you sit on to see the beautiful view is ruined by neighbors chain smoking. You'd think they'd have a little more respect for nature, beauty, and neighbors but I guess with prices this cheap you can't expect much from fellow visitors.

Yelp
North Conway mountain inn has a amazing view... and that's where the positive ends. Alisha the manager is rude, as well as Melissa? I believe her name was. We booked August 2017 and explained our service animal situation, that our dogs are used in therapy for those in need, they are not service dogs for us. And whom ever we talked to then was perfectly ok with that, and all was great! Fast forward to a reservation we made this year, despite the outdated rooms and busy traffic, We got a call from Alisha asking about the dogs and I explained the same as I did the previous year. And she stated absolutely not.. it would be $20 per dog per day... that's $160 on top of the $540 we were paying. Well needless to say we found a better deal at another hotel on the strip with a better view and nicer rooms and who were SUPER ACCOMMODATING!!! Owner feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I can't imagine how much business your losing due to poor attitude!

Matt F.

Yelp
Besides the view from the back of hotel, i regret staying. The bed is so uncomfortable, no fitted sheets on beds, just a pad then a top sheet instead of a fitted sheet. Wicked slow wi-fi. There was what I think is a blood stain on the wall on the corner of the framed photo that hangs on the wall. No workers on site during the night. I went to check out at 700am to speak my concerns, but there was a sign that nobody arrives untill 10am on Sunday. And last, the shower is HORRIBLE.
google avatar

Bad A.

Yelp
Bottom line: you're paying for the spectacular panoramic view. If you're looking for plush furnishings and flat screens look elsewhere. However, if you're looking for reasonable rates and some of the best mountain views North Conway has to offer, look no further. We stumbled upon this place desperate to find a room very late and very last minute (see Swiss review) and we were very happy with the overall experience. The kid working the front office was kind enough to stay past their posted hours of operation to check us in, and he definitely helped us turn things around. The room was basic, but the view from our balcony was anything but. Gorgeous! Drinking my morning coffee out there was such a relaxing and great start to my day, I will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Katie P.

Yelp
I stayed here on a Saturday night in mid August and I thought the place was great. Exactly what you picture when you go to NH. The view was spectacular from the balcony. The woman at the front desk was extremely nice, she even let us check in a little early to get our mini vacation going right way. Our room was very clean, the place was quiet and in a nice location. I liked that it was close to everything but not right in the downtown area. The ONLY reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because we got back to the hotel late the night we were staying there, and there was no parking. We had to park up against the dumpster and I thought that was very strange because the lot looked quite big for the size of the hotel. I went to bed praying that my car was still there in the morning, which it was! We will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
We stayed for two nights in late October of this year--the view from the back porch was spectacular--you could stand out there and stare at it for hours! We also found the staff to be friendly, and the room clean--which was the most important thing to us after all the horror stories you hear these days. We also got a reasonable rate on kayak.com. We'll be back!
