So where do I begin? This place is rated 2.5 stars on Travelocity, so it was at our price range. The pictures on Travelocity honestly make it look considerably bigger and more secluded than it is and they're really banking on their mountain view, which I grant you is spectacular, and every room appears to have this view.
When we pulled up... honestly I started to worry. It looked like they were in the middle of cleaning. Their were yellow bags outside a lot of the doors. The exterior needs work. Chipped paint and damaged posts on the balconies, were not a good sign.
It also didn't help matters that when we went to check in, the room was not ready... at 2pm. Okay... Not sure what they did as my wife found candy on the floor a few times.
We drove around for a while and came back. We had realized fairly last minute that there was a, mistake on our reservation with Travelocity. We booked four (2 adults 2 kids) but the site booked it as 4 adults and up charged us. Despite the last minute catch, the hotel corrected it, and fixed out bill. Bonus points for that, not all hotels would have.
Then we got up to the room. That's where things turned around for the better. The wallpaper is slightly dated, but inoffensive. The rooms are spacious enough for us to be comfortable. As I said before the view is spectacular.
The mattresses are firm, so if you have a bad back or like stiff mattresses, you'll be happy.
The shower... powerful, but not for tall people.
All in all, it's an okay place that's conveniently near everything up here. However if you're planning on staying in the room for anything more than sleep, you may want to shell out for something a little higher in the star rating.
