It's a small Museum, with a great history. I loved learning about the Native Americans history. I'm glad we stopped in the guy at the desk I don't remember his name but he was very informative and knew his things.

If you need to do something on a rainy or windy day, this museum is super cute and just the right price (free, well, we gave a donation). The staff is very friendly and informative. Parking was easy. The kids have plenty to look at, and adults have plenty to read. We did learn new things about the lumber industry and enjoyed seeing all the old tools and equipment. We are grateful this is available to the public and thankful for the clean restrooms. Budget no less than 30 minutes. We could have been in here much longer.

Great museum with lots of interesting facts. If you want to know the novel story of how Lincoln City got it's name, this is the place.

Excellent local history museum that can figure it out history of back up in Licoln city . Free admission however It's a useful exhibition hall that automatically puts your hands in the donation box. divided into the first and second floors and a useful space to imagine the background of the times

Clean, fun, easy walk through, friendly staff. One of the best in-town free museums I have been to.

I had a great time with the group I went with and the museum was super chill and we had the whole place to ourselves to look around. My favorite part was playing the harp while I was there and learning more about native American culture.

Really cool museum! Lots of neat maritime and local history, including Pixieland. Beautiful glass floats of all sizes and styles, antique items you can see up close, Native American artwork and artifacts, and lots of kid-friendly exhibits and activities.

Yelp
This is a cute little small town museum. Admission is free, but there are a couple of donation boxes in the building if you so desire to contribute. We were given an exhibit guide that gave some information about artifacts in display cases that were numbered. Not sure why they went the route of an exhibit guide rather than posting the relevant information next to each item. The displays, on the most part, were well curated, and the history blurbs were interesting. The upstairs had a nice little kids exploration area.

Yelp
What a great place to have stumbled upon! I love museums, I love history, and I could've been here longer reading all the plaques & articles but didn't want to take up that much of our only day to play. While it is free admission, I do hope people are generous with their donations. I wish more places like this still existed. Great displays, fun artifacts, great preservation of yesteryears treasures. I loved learning a few things about how LC became the 7mile strip of a city it is today. Thanks for sharing & keeping things like this alive!

Yelp
Americana galore! We only had a about ten minutes to browse because we had to be somewhere else (not so good with our time planning...) but we could have easily stayed there for at least a half hour. If you're into the last century's pop history, this is a great place to see some bygone ephemera. We had free admission, thanks to a grant that the organization received. And this place is run by volunteers. So super duper impressed!

Yelp
We were looking for something different to do in Lincoln City and happened upon this museum. The museum is well laid out and very interesting. There is something for everyone here. There are some short movies, informational boards and the part I liked the best were stories that individuals shared on their past experiences (i.e. growing up). There is a lot to see here, I would recommend allowing a least an hour so you can take it all in at an easy pace. One additional piece I liked, is that although this museum was central to Lincoln City, the history it shared was reflected through many different times in the US - we really enjoyed this one. I highly recommend making time for this museum - good for all ages.

Yelp
For a very small museum this is a very nice one. The downstairs is all about logging and fishing and is pretty typical fare for a museum of this size. Where this place shines is upstairs. That is where the real gem of this place is hidden. Wonderful displays about an old theme park that failed to take off years ago, displays about the local race track, high school, etc... It's free, so definitely swing by and give it a try!

Yelp
My daughter and I were at this museum last week and they have some great displays. History of Lincoln City, the places, people etc. Some of the displays also had paragraphs and stories of the families portrayed first hand by family members, which was great reading, taking me back in time, beautifully written stories and photos. They had some beautiful Japanese glass floats and different displays of history throughout the museum. Upstairs were displays of vintage automotive items, camping, restaurants, and more, and a display about a cottage in town with a neat story behind it, which my daughter and I came upon while driving thru the neighborhood we stayed at! This is a great museum and I want to come back again when I am in Lincoln City. If you are visiting or sightseeing in Lincoln City, this is a must see, I recommend this museum if you are out and about exploring this neat little coastal town.

Yelp
My father and I stumbled upon this museum while looking for a non-beach-related way to kill time in Lincoln City, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! For a small community museum with no entrance fee and a volunteer staff, the Lincoln County Historical Museum is incredibly well-done. While the Native American handicrafts and pioneer artifacts on the first floor of the museum are interesting enough, the second floor - which celebrates the early 20th century tourist culture that sprung up in Lincoln County after Highway 101 was completed - is a treasure-trove of fascinating ephemera. The bygone days of redhead-only beauty pageants, adorable little motor courts, and the Pixie Village/Pixieland entertainment complex are captured in affectionate detail. A perfect place to go for anyone interested in midcentury pop culture.

Yelp
This is a neat spot to take your family. This museum had it all. A great kids area to play in. It was nice to learn about the founding families of Lincoln county and see all the history of what makes it a great space. We will be touring it again

Yelp
This is a free museum, friendly staff and an amazing display of history. Make the time to go here.
