North Sea Chinese Restaurant

Ordered General Tso's chicken - totally flavorless with too much cayenne pepper thrown in (literally the only spice in the gravy-like sauce) - the fried food were of course good, but I would never order that dish again.

The food is amazing. Very clean. The portions are large and the prices are fair. Love the veggie egg rolls. The owners are friendly. I asked if they could makes dishes without oyster sauce or seafood since I have allergies to them. They happily accommodated my needs. This is small hidden gem in Burton. We do carry out. Highly recommend.

First time here with grandma and the food was not good at all unfortunately. Chicken was so overcooked and tough. Rice was not good either and tasted stale.

Food is horrible think I'm going to be sick ion know what kind of won ton soup this is never seen big chunks of strange meat in soup taste rachid and spoiled I hate I came here the egg roll taste old as hell and these chips very strange taste. May be some cat or dog meat I have never tasted this taste for any meat 😔 It was very hot today my slush was gone they do not sell any beverages so I asked for water she took my cup and refilled it with warm tap water and said sorry no ice. I have filed a complaint with BBB as well just so you know you won't be feeding the public or serving people like this for much longer. Very accurate review you know what you serve and it's garbage I guess you don't remember giving me that warm water either ?? That table is right outside your restaurant so just stop lying bad service terrible food that's facts. The next response should be inviting me back for a refund then I'll take the review down but until then I want others to know the truth because you made me sick 🤢 spoiled mess you serving up 😡

Food was absolutely delicious. First time here and we have found our new favorite Chinese restaurant. The portions, the quality and the taste are all outstanding. Couple of tables inside to sit at. I had the almond boneless chicken and egg drop soup.

This place is small, really small. Like it would seat maybe 10 people. It's clearly a take out place. But, when I went in, I looked through the order window and saw an authentic Chinese kitchen. It was Chinese New year, so I decided to give it a try. I asked the lady at the order window to tell me what the chef's specialty is, she said Hunan. So I ordered the Hunan shrimp. It was good. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, good brown sauce, very enjoyable. Would order again, but I was the only one there on Chinese New year.

This is about the new ice cream shop that just opened there..I swear that is the best ice cream ice ever had. Friendly atmosphere and nice workers. If you ever pass this shop called up to the corner... please try it...I had to get more because it was so good.. my favorite is cookie monster.. YOU GOT TO TRY THAT ONE. it's phenomenal . Thanks again and a BIG UPS to this shop.. I'll be back real soon!

Me and my husband love trying different Foods in the area we came across this place and wanted to try it out I got the orange chicken and he got the shrimp I got hot sour soup to be honest I'm sorry to say this but it was disgusting I read the reviews they were all bad should have trusted my instinct the chicken was very rubbery and had sliced orange slices in it that made it more gross the chicken fried rice tasted extremely weird the egg rolls were horrible we will definitely not be going here again

A Solid Neighborhood Go-To: I visited North Sea Chinese today and was really impressed by the value and the service. It's a small "in and out" type of place with no seating and limited parking, but for the price and quality, it is definitely worth the stop. The lady running the front and making the food is incredibly kind and welcoming! I ordered the Szechuan Beef (5/5): This was the highlight of the meal. It was spicier than I expected, but the flavor was excellent. Highly recommend if you like some heat. I also love that they offer BBQ Pork Fried Rice as a standard option without an upcharge, most places charge extra for that! The chicken fried rice was also very tasty. I liked my Almond Chicken. The chicken itself was very "clean" and perfectly crispy, but the gravy was a bit of a letdown. It was very thick with cornstarch and lacked flavor. The Rangoon was very crispy and loaded with cream cheese, though I would have loved to taste a bit more crab in the filling. Overall, the food is affordable, the portions are good, and the service is excellent. While some dishes were a bit bland, the Szechuan beef and the rice options make it a place I'll definitely order from again.

North Sea is my favorite Chinese restaurant that I have ever eaten at in 51 years. My favorite dish is the Vegetable Almond Ding. The owners are very kind and helpful. The food is always very fresh and high quality. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is spotless. The service time is excellent. I have the highest regard for this restaurant and very highly recommend it.

This is a very small establishment with amazing food! I am Asian and love my Chinese cuisines and North Sea is our go-to Chinese food restaurant! The lady who answers the phone and serves us our food is always so nice and friendly. They have always made our orders accurately, no matter how busy they get and I love going there to get my Chinese food cravings satisfied over any other Chinese restaurant. I think you can sit and eat in there as there are tables and chairs but usually, people sit and wait for their food to go when it's crowded. I love this place and have tried almost everything on their menu with the different meats that come with each dish.

Love this place. Great food excellent customer service. The finding room is always clean and I can't rave enough about how great the food is. I love being able to make my own up every time I go in.

Went there this evening for take out food. Got chicken egg foo young and sweet and sour shrimp. Both items were absolutely terrible!!! The shrimp was raw with dripping batter on the inside and the chicken egg Foo young had beef sauce on it. The egg roll was awful. Totally disgusting meal. Unedible!!! Won't ever go there again!

Friendly owners, generous portions, we have been here several times in this summer and everything is delicious - the appetizers, the wonton soup, Szechuan and Hunan Triple meat, cashew chicken, and fried rice, all so good!

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and always been impressed not only by the amount of food, but the quality. I'm not sure what happened this time, but in all honesty it was the worst food I've ever eaten. I don't know if it's old oil, or just a bad day after a holiday. I can't say I'll go back, but this used to be an excellent restaurant.

I ordered D19 which is a chicken sesame dinner that came with fried rice. Three stars for the large portion of food compared to the price. In visiting other restaurants, the North Sea does give you way more. I took two stars off because the flavors of the food are bland down to the side eggroll that came with the meal. Also my sesame chicken tasted more like Amish chicken (fried chicken strips or bits) that have been coated with gravy. It tasted nothing like sesame seed chicken. Well, perhaps the sesame seeds still tasted like sesame. If this restaurant reevaluates their seasoning/flavors, I'd give them 5 stars. Update: in reviewing the previous review, they do take credit/debit now. cheers.

Terrible. Just thinking about the food I got there makes me want to gag. Worst chineese restaurant and very dirty. Do not eat there I ordered the veggie lomein and it had a clear gooey thick sauce on it that was literally disgusting. I ate one bite and couldn't eat anymore. The rice seemed like it had been out for a while.

Okay, but horrible service. Picked up a to go carryout order last weekend. Food wasn't ready, called ahead and gave them plenty of lead to have i,t ready. Had to wait ten minutes, bringing wait to almost 45 minutes to the order. How does chinese carryout take that long? It was not even lunch or supper rush!!!! The rice was good and greasy and the price is cheap as ever, however, carryoutsgould be ready quickly, not be close to ine hour. Lots of menu selections to from, good chicken and rice.

Still a favorite as the portions are large. You get more than what you pay for. They also take credit/debit now, which is a plus these days. Restaurant is clean and owners are friendly. If I ask for a customized order (i.e. no onions) I appreciate that they can make it custom like that. Definitely worth trying if you are in the area.

Best Chinese food ever. The restaurant is clean, the vegetables are fresh , everything cooked right in front of you. The owners are a very nice hard working couple. I have been going there for years.

I decided to try this restaurant after reading a review on another site which stated it was one of the best Chinese food restaurants they have ever ate at. I've got to agree. Their food does not taste bland nor does it taste cheaply made. Their prices are very competitive to others in town. The portions are perfect. The owners keep their small size restaurant tidy and clean. They offer take out. I will call in my order and they have it ready in 15-20 minutes. Sometimes sooner. I hope one day that home delivery will be an addition to their services. Overall, I'm glad that I tried it out because it has made a loyal buyer out of me.

Best tasting Chinese food. Freshly cooked. It does not taste like it's made out of a can like other's do. Cost is very comparable to those other's. It does have a very small eating area made for maybe a group of 8 which is ok with me since I just use take-out. Owners are polite and hard working. I'm going to continue to buy from them.

HI Value, Very Good Lunch and Always Great Service. I eat at Chinese Food Restaurants everywhere I go. This is a regular stop. I know I will get a Great Meal for a Great Price.

I have been coming here for years since moving from the Detroit area to flint. Large amount of food with great taste. My go to is the sweet n sour chicken , almond chicken, or beef and broccoli. Always quick and friendly service for Carry out. I would not recommend dining in, although the front part was recently remodeled. Even though, this is mostly a carry out place with seating if needed for a quick meal. They also now take credit cards.

They now accept credit cards, have updated their dining room, and the previous reviewer must have been there on a bad day, because the food here is excellent and the portions are generous. You may spend $30 for three large entrees and fried rice, but a family of two or three can get two evening dinners out of that, and leftovers for lunch.
