Amazing, 110% recommend!! We only stayed one night as we were passing through on a road trip and I with we could have stayed more. Great location (even right on a hiking trail) and very friendly service. Extra plus for being dog friendly. Though you aren't right on top of the other tents, they aren't super secluded from one another either. However the area of our tent was very quiet and we felt we had plenty of privacy. The bed was comfortable and the tent was clean with everything and more that we needed for the night.

It’s a true luxury experience with all the comforts one can think of and more. Secluded location, lake view from the deck, a gorgeous night sky, well lit walking paths, and wildflowers surrounding you. Rent a e-bike to the lighthouse and beyond and enjoy fine dining across the street. Don’t miss the sauna! Staff are exceptional and on their toes taking care of guests.

We had a great stay at North shore Camping Co. This was our first time camping with our kids (ages 8-4). Such a great experience. We arrived after our 4 year old had just thrown up on her special blanket. Coleen was working the check in desk and was AMAZING. She immediately washed our stuff and delivered it to our tent before bedtime. She made our kids laugh and feel so welcomed. Went above and beyond! There are so many fun things to do in the area. But we really enjoyed hanging out at our campsite and we all slept great on the cozy beds! Would recommend and definitely would stay again!!

Great time enjoying the fresh air. Stayed only 1 night, but would definitely stay again longer. Comfy rooms and the heater was very handy on a chilly night! Close to so many things to do and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Dog friendly was a determining factor for us!

Traditionally I have only camped in the very basic conditions and slept on the ground in a tent when I camped but wanted to experience a step up. As I age, the ground is a little harder to get up from so what North Shore Camping offered was perfect. |The tents were very well supplied and very comfortable with a king-sized bed, table and chairs, heating as needed and great hospitality. There is very limited electricity via generator, and no running water, but the bathrooms are just down the trail including showers. If you want the basic camping with some amenities including a sauna and e-bikes, this is your spot. And they are very dog friendly. I would be happy to return in a heartbeat.

We stayed for two nights to enjoy our anniversary. Check in was simple and staff was helpful to let us know where the amenities were, and how we could access things at the base lodge after hours. They were so sweet and provided us champagne to celebrate our stay! The glamping tent is absolutely adorable and so comfortable. They give you everything you need - cookware, washing supplies, stuff to make coffee. We slept great and had a great time exploring the Northshore during the day. There's ao many beautiful things to do in nearby Silver Bay/Beaver Bay/Twins Harbors area. Would 100% book again for a little getaway!

Beautiful scenery, excellent kept up tents both inside and out! It's was quite relaxing. I loved the ability to go to the Cove Lodge for swimming and hot tub. Unfortunately, driving instead of walking is recommended if your of certain age or body limitations, the fire area stayed muddy and lucky which made it difficult to cook, or sit out and enjoy, and every time I needed something from the office they were closed or out of coffee. The staff were incredibly nice and I definitely plan on making this trip several times a year!

My husband and I booked a tent here at just a few days before we took a drive up to the North Shore. It was very easy to find and met or exceeded all of our expectations. We had stayed at Under Canvas near The Grand Canyon a couple years ago and were hoping for a similar experience. It was very similar, except I think this place was less expensive, had better bathrooms and friendlier staff. The only small draw back was that the tents were a little close together (since we were there during the week it was not a problem for us) and we could hear the cars from the nearby highway at night. It was still very peaceful and none of the noise ridiculous - It just happened that we are two city dwellers just craving solitude. I'm so bummed I did not get pictures. The pictures on their website do not lie. I would absolutely stay here again!

Yelp
It's a nice concept, but I would not go back. The tent and bed were nice, but getting there was a real chore. The hike from the parking lot and office was up a long, steep, rocky, dusty, eroded trail that apparently had never been graded. Then there was a tall flight of homemade stairs up to the tent. The hike down to the toilet box or office toilet was tough enough to discourage me from using it. The worst aspect was the continual, all-night, loud traffic noise from nearby Highway 61. I went up there hoping for some peace and quiet but got more noise than I get here in St. Louis Park. I was happy to leave after three days. At least the camp was set amid a very nice pine forest. Some day, those old very trees will fall on a tent or go up in a major fire. I am highly experienced with mountain backpacking and BWCA canoe camping but at 75 years of age I was looking forward to sleeping on a real bed. In summary, the tent was much nicer than the overall camp and its location.

Yelp
North Shore Camping Co has so much to offer. Being right across from their partner Cove Point, visitors are able to access the pool, spa and waterfront of Cove Point. North Shore offers secluded tents - glamping style - that are roomy and have their own fire pit. The tents also offer bear proof cabinets where you will keep all of your food. The base lodge has one stall bathrooms that also include a shower. Only downfall of the base lodge is that it can be farther away from your tent and it might be a hike to get there and back. North Shore also has saunas for guests to use. It doesn't stop there, north shore camping is placed in the best spot for anyone looking for adventure such as hiking, biking, and exploring the north shore. Let's also not forget about how amazing the staff is, not only to humans but how wonderful they treat the pups. If you're looking for somewhere new and fun to stay, check out North Shore Camping Co!

Yelp
3 stars to be nice..sorry it needs a lot if improvement!! we had reservation for 3 nights, our tent (#8) was nice and cozy and a good size, the generator was at 49% when we got there (7pm), she promised us it would heat up the tent all night...well it didnt! 4am we woke up very cold and dark, the gen was dead and so one if the lights they provided, i waited till 8am and finally got to talk with the person in charge, i request to be tranfer to Cove Point since i didnt want to deal it, they did it immediately and that was very nice since its the same owner. the other issues is the trail on the way to the bathroom, its not only far, its muddy and not very well lit at night, the tent temp max was 62 degree, it wouldn't go any higher, very thing wall, in my opinion this will NOT work in the cold winter!! i think the concept its nice but it needs a better heating system, a bigger and more powerful generator, a better trail to bathrooms and a thicker tent as well, oh and more fire wood too, matches, fire starter, etc..
