We ate here yesterday. We spent over $100 for lunch for 2, deli items (curry chix salad, Asian slaw, Asian noodles, fruit salad)to go, and a bakery item. We haven't tried the deli items. The bakery item, a coconut chocolate bar, was delicious.
We ordered a bacon, cheddar and turkey sandwich and a vegan Greek pita with tzatziki and feta added. Yesterday the sandwiches were soooo good. The Greek pita had large cucumber wedges, tomato, onion, and lettuce. It was loaded with vegetables. There was a generous dollop of sauce and hummus. One of the best sandwiches I've had in my life. The bacon and turkey sandwich was delicious. The bacon was crispy and very flavorful. There was a generous amount of Valley Sauce, a dark yellow sauce.
We enjoyed it so much yesterday, we returned today. Instead of the friendly lady who helped us yesterday, there was a young man who coughed/sneezed into his hand. We were going to order a sweet but didn't want him handling our food. Thankfully, the lady was working the register later and we got a jumble bar, which was very good.
We ordered the same 2 sandwiches. Today they were totally different. The bacon was too thick, more like pork belly. It was soggy. It looked like there wasn't any Valley sauce on the sandwich. The sandwich was bland and flavorless. I was told they mix the Valley Sauce with sour cream before putting it on sandwiches. It was very light, like mayo, and bland. Yesterday it was orange like mustard. Someone got the sour cream/valley sauce ratio way off. The Greek pita was also very different. Instead of generous slices of cucumber, there were small pieces of chopped cucumber, not much tomato, lettuce, hummus, sauce or feta. There were way too many banana peppers. The sandwich just tasted like vinegar from the loads of peppers and it also made it soggy.
I'm rating 3 stars. Average of 5 for yesterday and 2 for today.
