We recently stayed here for three nights, and if I could give more stars it would be a close to 10 out of 5. We were welcomed with such friendly staff, the accommodation was just as amazing as the pictures (we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite). Most things were provided, and if we needed anything the staff were more than accommodating - small things like salt and pepper, and some outdoor chairs and a table. We told them upon check in we had dogs with us and they just let us know their terms, which we respected. Awesome jumpy pillow and heated pool, even if we were frozen once we got out. To the management and staff - we are so grateful and thankful for your hospitality and will be more than happy to recommend the park. We were super impressed above and beyond! Thanks 😊

We were lucky enough to be put in the 2 bedroom cottage. Clean, cozy, amazing shower, the perfect home-base. The park was handy for everything you needed. Service was amazing, extra clean towels etc were dropped off without having to ask, we were only in Christchurch for 3 nights so didn't get a chance to check out the other amenities on offer. You will hear the planes but for price for value it is a very small drawback. We'll definitely be back!! A++++

We stayed at North South Holiday Park for one night on our way to Hanmer Springs. My 5-year-old loved the bunk bed, and the larger mattress on the bottom made co-sleeping easy when needed. For the price, the self-contained unit was fantastic — great value and had everything we needed. The only thing to note was that the shower was tricky to get to a comfortable temperature; it was either too hot or too cold, which was a bit difficult with a child. Other than that, everything was great, and the staff member we met on site was warm and friendly.

Really clean toilets and showers, great location when you want to go to the airport. And they had great communication on booking. Com. The room was clean and they left the heater on so when we got there it was nice and warm. Would recommend

Really good camp ground The caravan site was of good size and easy enough to get into. Water on our site. Camp managers were realy good and helpful. Booked 2 nights, stayed 4. Only down side was that you are on the flight path from the airport. Fine of you are downwind, the aircraft noise was minimal, but if wind was from the north, then you had the aircraft power on. Road noise was audible but not an issue. Close to bus stop, drivable, if you wanted to catch bus into city.

We also want to say how lovely the camp is, you have obviously been working very hard to improve it. It’s hassle free, easy to use amenities, and everything was so clean, toilets and showers sparkled and smelt lovely. Staff were always welcoming. Well done. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to returning

I stayed in my motorhome for 4 nights on powered site. The site was wonderful, having a gravel pad with a bbq table for my use and a concrete pad beside the motorhome, mowen grassed area around the rest. All amenities were spotlessly kept. All modern conveniences and very well accessed. Play areas for all ages, rubbish areas with recycling and green and waste bins all in well-maintained areas. The staff are friendly, very polite and have incredible local knowledge. There are recreational areas for young and old. Acres of public walking reserve next to camp complete with lakes and the whole area is dog friendly. The camp is extremely handy to the Christchurch International Airport and Christchurch CDB is aprox 10mins drive away. I highly recommend this facility and definitely will be back.

Nice and close to the airport and great welcoming from the staff at reception who were also super helpful with directions for close by food! The campsites were clean and flat, and the facilities were great! (Even a heater in the bathrooms which was a beautiful touch!) Thank you for your hospitality !

Yelp
This review is for our interaction with the office staffer over payment (and the disagreement is over a small amount). My intention is not to be petty over $5, but to describe what happened, because I think we (the travelers) were in the right. Using the 2015 Jason's guide for holiday parks, my husband and I picked the North South Holiday Park. It was affordable and very close to Christchurch Airport. We figured we would pay $16.50 per head, since all we needed was a parking (non-powered) spot for our campervan (I'll upload photos of the guide and pricing page). The guy in the office quoted a nominally higher price- I think it was $19 per head. My husband said, oh, I thought the price was a bit lower in the book. The guy asked him to bring the book. My husband got the Jason's guide from the car and showed him. The guy said it was an error and refused to honor the price. That's all I have a problem with. We were using the current Jason's; the printed price says $16.50 (which is what I assume would apply to us in a campervan, needing a non-powered space); from what I understand, Jason's is a widely-used reference for travelers (indeed, we got the guide from either Auckland or Christchurch airport's official display of travel brochures). If there is a printing error, maybe post a sign in your office stating that, so customers have a heads up. If we were the first ones to bring it to your attention, consider honoring the printed price listed for your holiday park in the current guide. It's only $5, but it bothered me that the guy didn't care about giving us the referenced price. If I've misunderstood the pricing guide, or how much I should have relied on Jason's, please let me know and I'll modify my review. For the rest of the park- it met our needs and served its purpose. Nice to take a (6-minute) hot shower; good camaraderie in the kitchen as travelers cooked their meals; useful kitchen setup meant cooking a hot meal was easy; we liked how people left their "free stuff" for other people to use and added some instant coffee and a lot of sugar to the pile.
