I stayed in just for a night. I love the cleanliness, facilities and it’s the best holiday park in Christchurch. Washrooms and shower areas have heaters, kitchen is at its best, very clean. The nature surrounded by is so beautiful. I’ve been to many camping sites across New Zealand, nothing matches this. It’s just perfect.

Arrived late but was very easy to check in and nice clean facilities. I visited on a rainy winters day but I imagine this place would be great for summer! I got my car stuck in some mud and I had around 5 staff members come to help, they were really great and friendly

The staff here were absolutely terrific. I have never used a camper before so really appreciated their help to make sure my power was on correctly.|Facilities were clean and tidy, plenty of kitchen space for all, showers were really great ( We preferred them to our camper)

Absolutely amazing, clean, fresh and WOW what a shower. We had our Bengal Cat with us and she walks with us on a lead, she actually enjoyed majority of her stay apart from a lot of dog owners walk there dogs with the lead in their hand. Just a thought.. perhaps people should put the lead on the dog and not have it wrapped around their hand. A little respect for other animal owners wouldn't go astray ☺️

We recently stayed here for three nights, and if I could give more stars it would be a close to 10 out of 5. We were welcomed with such friendly staff, the accommodation was just as amazing as the pictures (we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite). Most things were provided, and if we needed anything the staff were more than accommodating - small things like salt and pepper, and some outdoor chairs and a table. We told them upon check in we had dogs with us and they just let us know their terms, which we respected. Awesome jumpy pillow and heated pool, even if we were frozen once we got out. To the management and staff - we are so grateful and thankful for your hospitality and will be more than happy to recommend the park. We were super impressed above and beyond! Thanks 😊

We were lucky enough to be put in the 2 bedroom cottage. Clean, cozy, amazing shower, the perfect home-base. The park was handy for everything you needed. Service was amazing, extra clean towels etc were dropped off without having to ask, we were only in Christchurch for 3 nights so didn't get a chance to check out the other amenities on offer. You will hear the planes but for price for value it is a very small drawback. We'll definitely be back!! A++++

We stayed at North South Holiday Park for one night on our way to Hanmer Springs. My 5-year-old loved the bunk bed, and the larger mattress on the bottom made co-sleeping easy when needed. For the price, the self-contained unit was fantastic — great value and had everything we needed. The only thing to note was that the shower was tricky to get to a comfortable temperature; it was either too hot or too cold, which was a bit difficult with a child. Other than that, everything was great, and the staff member we met on site was warm and friendly.

Really clean toilets and showers, great location when you want to go to the airport. And they had great communication on booking. Com. The room was clean and they left the heater on so when we got there it was nice and warm. Would recommend

This review is for our interaction with the office staffer over payment (and the disagreement is over a small amount). My intention is not to be petty over $5, but to describe what happened, because I think we (the travelers) were in the right. Using the 2015 Jason's guide for holiday parks, my husband and I picked the North South Holiday Park. It was affordable and very close to Christchurch Airport. We figured we would pay $16.50 per head, since all we needed was a parking (non-powered) spot for our campervan (I'll upload photos of the guide and pricing page). The guy in the office quoted a nominally higher price- I think it was $19 per head. My husband said, oh, I thought the price was a bit lower in the book. The guy asked him to bring the book. My husband got the Jason's guide from the car and showed him. The guy said it was an error and refused to honor the price. That's all I have a problem with. We were using the current Jason's; the printed price says $16.50 (which is what I assume would apply to us in a campervan, needing a non-powered space); from what I understand, Jason's is a widely-used reference for travelers (indeed, we got the guide from either Auckland or Christchurch airport's official display of travel brochures). If there is a printing error, maybe post a sign in your office stating that, so customers have a heads up. If we were the first ones to bring it to your attention, consider honoring the printed price listed for your holiday park in the current guide. It's only $5, but it bothered me that the guy didn't care about giving us the referenced price. If I've misunderstood the pricing guide, or how much I should have relied on Jason's, please let me know and I'll modify my review. For the rest of the park- it met our needs and served its purpose. Nice to take a (6-minute) hot shower; good camaraderie in the kitchen as travelers cooked their meals; useful kitchen setup meant cooking a hot meal was easy; we liked how people left their "free stuff" for other people to use and added some instant coffee and a lot of sugar to the pile.
