North Star Mall is a classic in the city and definitely one of my favorites. It offers a fantastic variety of stores, making it the perfect spot when you want to grab a drink, snack or coffee, do some shopping, or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll and some window shopping. The food court is also quite good, with a solid selection of restaurants that cater to different tastes. Parking is generally ample, which is great, but be warned: during holidays, special events, or weekends, it can get really crowded. If you’re not a fan of bustling crowds, this might not be the place for you. However, if you’re looking to grab a snack, spend time with family, or hang out with friends, this mall is spot on. There’s a wide range of shops, from clothing and shoe stores to electronics and collectible items. The only downside I’ve noticed is that, even with plenty of parking, finding a spot can be a challenge when it’s super busy. Also, I’ve had some experiences with the vendors in the middle of the aisles who can be a bit too pushy. They don’t seem to pick up on cues that you’re not interested, and it can take several “no, thank yous” before they get the message. On the bright side, North Star Mall is an excellent place to unwind if you’re not into nightlife or late-night outings. Sure, it can be noisy and packed like any mall, but if that doesn’t bother you, it’s definitely worth a visit!

My partner and I recently visited the North Star Mall and found just about everything we came for. The inside of the mall was clean and looked well kept. There is a wide array of stores from the regular to high end. Even the food court had decent options. Next time I'm in SA, I'll definitely come back.

We stopped here to check out the mall before we checked in our hotel. Our first visit to San Antonio & they have a lot of malls. This mall had all the usual stores you see at malls. It was clean. A lot of nice seating areas to sit & rest with outlets to charge your phone.

Enjoyed being Santa Claus at The North Star mall for 1/2 a day. It's a beautiful setting and the entire staff of Elves were great to work with. The mall is alive with so many different stores and the watch repair guy near the Santa set is a great guy. He new what was wrong with my watch and he fixed it for free. His smile was like a Santa Claus smile contagious and full of joy. As I walked around the food court, it was good to see such a great variety of restaurants for every patron to choose from. I would gladly go back and shop and work the santa set. Except for me , takes away from the Magic of Santa and the fun with the mall using multiple individuals work dressed up as Santa Claus. I prefer to be in a location where I am the only Santa Claus. My beard is very neat and clean. As I walked through the mall many people commented about my natural beard and how beautiful it is. The owner of the Perfumeria store she has a heart of gold and she's is sweet and kind. The customer service in her store is fantastic. You will find plenty of free parking around the North Star mall and I didn't feel like it was difficult to navigate the parking lot or the inside of the North Star mall. As Santa Claus as time permits I have taught many children the secret of how to be on the nice list all year long. And I teach children to always make sure that they have mom and dad's permission for all wishes on their list. You see it's a matter of respect for the Authority of the parents. I also suggest that children will change from year to year. Sometimes they accept Santa and other years they don't accept Santa. So take your small children to visit with Santa Claus early in the year. So Santa can work with them and gain their confidence. This will help you attain the best pictures with Santa Claus. As far as people coming to the malls early in the season they will also shop more helping the malls stores increase their sales. It's a win win situation for everyone. I tell parents that as far as this Santa Claus I am very strong family oriented and I want to help children learn to honor and respect their parents or whomever is the Authority in their lives. It will bring much blessings and good things into their lives over the years to come. In years gone by every Santa movie Santa Claus has people sitting on his lap. Unfortunately in this day and age people get offended by the idea. So I am not allowed to offer my knees as a place for people to sit. But many people ask me to sit on my lap and I just play along. It's especially funnier when the larger ones sit down on my lap. While the rest of the family or friends poke fun and laugh at this. So through out the years shop at the North Star mall. Your dreams will come true. This mall is clean and safe to shop at.

My favorite mall in San Antonio. Plenty of parking, lots of different types of shops for kids of all ages. Took the picture while relaxing in a massage chair, lots of people watching, just to walk and window shop. Ooo, gotta get to Lids, for a cap from my Texans I just gotta have. Not overdone for Xmas, just right.

Security is a joke. I called in on a man walking around with his dog in the food court not being held by a lead or leash. Security said they have a run against it, but did nothing the first time I called. The second call was 20 minutes after the first call. Just saying, take down the rule for everyone or enforce it to everyone. Pick one or the other.

Great selection of stores. Good selection of food at the food court. Covered parking in addition to the outside parking or in walking distance from the transit authority main building.

Fun mall with many many new stores and constantly being revamped. Huge variety of spots to shop at and nice little food court. I'd venture to say, it's one of the nicer malls in San Antonio. Cool boots at the front perfect for selfies and photo ops, and lots of parking. This is a good mall and definitely worth a visit. Good place to shop.

Only in Texas could you find something as quirky and over-the-top as the World's Largest Boots! Located right outside North Star Mall, these iconic cowboy boots are absolutely massive and make for the perfect photo op. You can't miss them--they're 35 feet tall and have all the charm you'd expect from a Texas-sized attraction. What I loved most was the unexpected delight of seeing something so uniquely Texan. It's free to admire, quick to stop by, and fun for all ages. Whether you're a tourist or a local, you'll appreciate the sheer audacity of these boots.

This mall is pretty big and has lots of shopping and food options. Parking is easy and free. Come at night time after the mall closes to get a picture of the world's largest cowboy boots, without waiting in line. Once the mall closes, you can park in the corner of the ground floor of the parking structure and take a short (1 minute) walk across the parking lot (using a crosswalk and sidewalk) to the boots. This was much appreciated taking a small child at night to get a photo.

While we didn't get to explore this mall as much as we wanted, it was quite extensive what we saw... We stayed at a hotel nearby this mall and killed some time here before we could check in our room. This mall has plenty of parking. We parked in a garage near JCPenny. The variety of store appeared good. We bought a couple dress shirts for 60% off at Express. Our daughter got a sweatshirt at Forever 21 for $5. We will explore this mall more the next time we are in town!

Located in the heart of San Antonio. This mall has ample parking space with garage parking available and outside parking lots. There are numerous of entrances & exits. A larger variety of store, so put on your shopping shoes & set your pedometer to track your steps since it's huge & there is a lot to see. From high end stores & Round 1 arcade & entertainment, and the food court & some new stores coming in. Plan accordingly if you are in a time crunch on where you park & where the store(s) your looking for are located. Leaving the mall took a bit to get out due to traffic & some construction in downtown San Antonio area. But if you have time, take a picture next to these Massive boots!

We came for the giant boots out front but we stayed for the shopping. The Saks here is actually solid. They have a lot of inventory and has decent sales. Every time we go to San Antonio we make a stop to look for any deals.

The shopping mall is not dead in San Antonio. In Vegas with the exception of the Fashion Show on the strip and open air malls, malls are dying slowly and rapidly. I was in a large mall in central Florida where you could count the patrons on one hand. It's a good thing to see brick n motor retail establishments stills surviving and thriving. The mall is spacious, clean, filled with customers and still houses flagship stores like Macy's that are fully staffed.

I'm a fan of this mall because it has plenty of options whether you are shopping for clothes, shoes, makeup, jewelry, etc. Multi-level mall that is spacious and well-organized. Security at this aiport is ever-present as they are always driving around the mall. The first thing you will notice about this mall are the gigantic cowboy boots. The boots face the interstate so lots of people have seen these famous boots. The mall also has valet parking and EV charging for electric cars. Couple of parking garages so parking should not be an issue as some have stated. I have parked here for the past 30 days I have been in San Antonio and have never had to look for parking for more than a few minutes. The only area of improvement to me is that there could be more food options. For a mall this size it is lacking in food choices....just a few restaurants and the food court. My mall back home is smaller than North Star but has twice the restaurants at the mall.

At a time when many malls seem to be downtrending, this one seems to be quite alive. I spotted only a small handful of stores which were shut for good. They have a really great food court upstairs that features a Chick-fil-A, subway and a variety of others. They do have some major department stores such as Macy's, JCPenney's, Saks and Dillards. We were pleasantly surprised to see even a local craft brewery near the food court. Between all the stores there appears to be almost countless kiosks offering almost everything imaginable. Needless to say there's far too many stores to name on this review, so if you're in the area this is a great mall to peruse.

First time visiting San Antonio Tx and we decided to check out the mall. They have somewhat of a variety but idk why I just expected better. ‍

I really love shopping at this mall especially when it's hot outside. This mall has amazing stores (Apple, H&M, Express, Forever21, etc.) and a food court. The only thing that I dislike is random people approaching you to buy a product or join their church!

I had to accompany my friend to get her phone fixed and run a couple errands. We had a pretty good time here! Despite the fact that it was super crowded, we found excellent parking real quick the last few times we've come here.

Much better than the South Moon, the West Sun and the East Wind Mall. Don't cut yourself when you're shopping here, or it's the North Scar Mall. And if you leave the Mall Door open, it's the North Door Is Ajar Mall. But nowhere near as good as Sun Moon Lake at Tea Top. This is a spectacularly busy mall in the near North suburbs of San Antonio which is packed with little designer shops and major department stores. Parking here can be a nightmare but we managed to get a good spot near the front door, so that was good. It's one of the busier and more claustrophobic malls, and yet I still like it because it has plenty going on. And Barbie certainly had it going on this day as you can see. So I tried to "and Conquer" but I don't know where "Go FORTH" ARE I asked some crazy guy, ended up with my FOURTH SCAR My Mum gave me a car, I said "Know what this is WORTH, MA?" She didn't so I said, f*** it, and drove down to NORTH STAR WHAT

Great Mall! A lot of great stores! In town from Fort Worth and of course we shop. This mall has everything! Restaurants and high end as well. The exterior of the mall isn't as impressive as the Interior. Needs an update

Pretty much still a good mall. Last of a dying breed. Went Christmas shopping in 2021 and most stores were still open the food court has been reduced drastically! But the always aggressive Israelí tactical sales alley is still as reliable as always. It's fun to mess with these groups when try to lure you in with questions and handing you their pocket size Dead Sea lotions and creams or overpriced hair appliances! "No Amir, I don't want your $200 elbow cream." Or "Get that hair crimped away from my beard Shoshana!"

The North Star Mall is not far from the San Antonio Airport and the home of the world's largest cowboy boots. I've never seen them from the plane (or tried to look for them), but I assume you could see them from a plane in the sky. Anyways, this mall isn't really special, but it is close to me and has some decent stores. Although there is a parking structure and another lot behind the mall, I always try to park in the small public part of the valet lot, near The Cheesecake Factory and Kona Grill. I think they should make the valet lot one row smaller and open that up for public parking. Sure, I could walk a bit more from the structure, but I've been coming here since before that valet lot and I'm a creature of habit.

Just visited North Star Mall for what I am guessing is my 30th visit, this mall is very consistent as well as diverse. It's consistently is mainly upheld by the smell of the stores similar to a musty locker-room, while the diversity shines in the walking halls of the mall where many facets of males mentally undressing each and every woman unfortunate enough to be alive in there vicinity. And as far quality of inventory, this mall is looking more and more like Rolling Oaks every day, I gotta be honest.

Being a minority in the states, I felt awkward here. I kept getting weird stares and glares. WHAT! Have you not seen an asian/oriental. *roll eyes* I came here for a cheap pair of sandals since the ones I brought on vacation weren't as comfortable, thankfully there is a payless here. They also have cotton on, another one of my fave mainland clothing stores, so I bought 2 summer tops to bring home. The mall has variety of big stores like jcpenny and their food court has chick-fil-a, wendy's and many other mainland known food places. If you live in San Antonio, it's actually a nice indoor mall with many shops.. There's a store called Waikiki here, I laughed... I guess it set the theme with "cheap" tourist like clothing from asia.... Being from Hawaii, it's hard to not find that amusing.

One store in particular Brighton Collectibles. I walked in and was immediately told here are the sale items they are actually 50. % off. Well at first maybe she was just being friendly and helpful until others walked in and it was hello is there anything in particular you are looking for. Please let me know if I can assist. She then proceeded to follow me around so I left. So sad because they really do have some unique items. Needless to say I left and I will never return to this store. I've never experienced this at this mall so I was sort of in a state of shock. Hopefully I'm not being overly sensitive.

They should do something about the ppl handing samples!!!! So annoying Like taking samples from a others!!! In the middle of the mall with no gloves no thanks they have always been super annoying but now.....more

This looks like your average shopping mall from the outside, but it has quite a few interesting little perks. If you're into taking pictures they have the biggest cowboy boots I've ever seen outside of the mall. There's also a Dallas Cowboys merchandise store. They have a variety of stores with all different types clothing, shoes, accessories and other goodsto offer the patrons. Only issue, no one in this mall knows where anything is located. I had to call the store we came for and get landmarks to get help. We were trying to find the other side (food court area) in the mall which is inaccessible by the upstairs floors. You must go downstairs walk all the way around and take the next set of escalators up or the elevator to reach the food court and a lot of the other popular stores. Not the worst, not the best. Pretty average.

North Star Custom Tees Kiosk is the worst place who charge you over all the prices and steal your money out of your credit Cards had a very bad experience with them and i complained for the mall and they did nothing and I want to tell everyone about to take care and don't ever buy from Custom Tees Kiosk there

Floors were a bit dirty and security was a bit rude but the mall overall is nice. Lots of construction going on. Lots of foot traffic for my booth this weekend. Always a joy to come to San Antonio

One of the best mall in Texas with very good selection and collection of department stores. Neat & clean with easy parking facility.

It's a good mall, very popular tourist spot. It's always packed . I park in the garage Majority of the time . The restaurants and food court are always clean, never had any issues .

I've been going to this mall for about ten years. It's grown in leaps and bounds and now is on the same level as other malls I've been to. There are great high end stores, yet also affordable fun places to shop. It's usually fairly clean and I like how they are now adding more "pop up" shops. These shops have been great to get random fun items while also allowing for small businesses to earn income. The only complaint I have is the couple stores in the mall that have people who literally call out to you to come in. I think that distracts from the high end feel of the mall and also makes it feel uncomfortable. I like the variety in food places along with the location of all the shops. Some malls are so confusing with shapes areas, but this one is fairly decent and difficult to get lost. Only wish there were more stores in a second story!

Nice mall, with a large selections of stores and restaurants. I will say it also seems like a good spot to people watch, too.

Came to see the boots. They are big and they are real. Gotta remind myself I live here now that I I can stop the tourist stuf. Went in the mall and my girlfriend wound up in a host of stores and I retreated to the food court. There is a few good places but I settled on a heart attack meal at the escalator. Heartburn was worth it.

Alot bigger than I was expecting (lol). Ok... so seriously... lots of people. Clean mall. Lots of stores. Good variety. I actually like this mall better than la cantera.

Nice mall it's indoor and definitely better more than Ingram. they have all of the well-known stores plus some small stores definitely a good place to bring someone who's visiting from out of town. I prefer the small over any other Mall San Antonio. Nice restaurants like cheesecake factory, Kona Grill etc. The only thing that's not so great is the food court it is pretty small

A nice collection of stores but it was crazy busy. Like stupid, crazy busy. Like all of San Antonio busy. Because of the that, it was annoying to get around and some of the stores (Forever 21) had so many clothes thrown on the ground that I thought it was a joke. I guess at some point the employees just stop trying to beat the crazy crowd and just give up. Three stars because this mall has a good mix of high-end and affordable stores. But unless you have your running shoes on and are in the right mindset to fight the crowd, I wouldn't come here on the weekend.

I like this mall. Even when I lived in Brownsville, when we'd visit San Antonio, North Star would be the mall we had to visit. It's very much a "tourist" mall compared to, say, Ingram, but it and its ginormous boots are still charming all the same. Parking is painless. I can always find good parking on the second level of the garage. Also, many of my favorite stores are in this mall, from Lush, Sephora (A Sephora and a Sephora inside a JC Penney WHATTTTT), Think Geek, and now a Torrid! One of my favorite kiosks is the Scooped cookie dough bar. Mmm. Sugar. I had a couple of friends from out of state venture into this mall alone as they waited for their respective flights. They got their ears pierced with a star to commemorate their stay in Texas. They also ate at the food court, which they enjoyed. It's a solid, enjoyable mall still chugging along in a slowly withering mall-market.

Mall is often packed. Make sure to take tour bath and body coupons. My favorite store is forever 21. Try to go during week night as the weekend is super hard to find parking! This week went for vision works 2 for 29 glasses deal. It's just 29 no tax! No line just bring your prescription and boom you have new glasses!!

I saw a cockroach crawling at the Chinese express and I notified the manager and all he did was blame the other restaurants. Other than that the mall was nice !

It's a mall.... hehe if you been to one you pretty much know what this is. Prices are regular, so come by during sales season to make your trip worth while. Try to stay away away from the kiosks cause they will draw you in and never let go. It's a pretty mall overall and has all you need for your clothing and other mall needs. Nothing special here really.

If you want to see a business that's doing the absolute least to protect consumers during this pandemic then look no further than the North Star Mall. The mall is extremely packed with absolutely no social distancing, and no limits on the number of people allowed in the building. There is also no mask enforcement and lots of people take full advantage of that. And since there are a ton of people crowded around it's nearly impossible to completely avoid the nonmaskers. Some individual businesses inside of the mall are doing amazing at protecting its customers, but the mall overall is doing absolutely nothing. I will not be coming back here, even after the pandemic is over. If they don't care about protecting their consumers during a pandemic then they don't deserve my business now or ever.

Compared to malls I've been to all over the U.S, this one is a darn ugly mall. But for SA, it's prob the best INDOOR mall. It has the essential stores where I normally shop (Bare Escentuals, Forever 21, A'Gaci, Macy's, Dillard's, MAC, Sephora, etc.) Baby strollers EVERYWHERE!!!! This mall gets way too crowded. Parking is a pain because there are a ton of idiot drivers in SA. Anyways, I'm giving it an extra star just cuz I'm being nice and not comparing it to other malls nationwide (but rather just the malls in SA)---it's an A-OK mall.

Hard to compare apples and oranges but North Star Mall throughout the years has been losing it's grip in the mall game. Of course, La Cantera is the clear head runner and with RiverWalk revamping their image it's soon time for North Star to do the same. A few of their staple stores are Saks, H&M, Apple, BCBG, Express and a few others. Saks is the primary reason why I come here but everything else is A-Ok. Glad to see they're adding another sit-down restaurant as that's the one thing they truly do struggle with.

I love this mall, my favorite mall in San Antonio. There are better malls around the country but this mall has everything you need and not too many of the superfluous boutique retailers that even larger malls have. I try to avoid the mall during the holiday season because it's super busy but even when I do go during the busy times there's always plenty of parking near the Saks entry. My favorite thing to do is arrive between 3-4pm on a weekday way ahead of the dinner rush and snag some cheap eats at the Cheesecake Factory, if I want to stay to the end of rush hour I'll have a couple mojitos and do some mall walking or take my time looking at the bargains in the back of the major retailers. This mall is an easy recommend for the whole family.

went there for a pick up order. easy to navigat, and it seems like there doing some construction on some stores, but I got to where to go and left.

I love coming here with my daughter because it has all of her favorite shops! She misses the Forever 21 though, hopefully it will be back?

Yes, it's like the old school mall. It has a little bit of everything. There appears to be more stores coming. It a little warm in there but take your water bottle to cool off. I liked that it wasn't outside having to come in and out of the element. Parking garage kept your call cool. Just be careful leaving it's lit but I don't trust people in any park lot or garage. :(

Excellent situated off the freeway, plenty of parking and accessible to various vendors. Situated in the heart of San Antonio known for its biggest cowboy boots!!!

Went to the mall, 7-5-2018 Took off a star because the kids strollers they have available for rent ($8.00) are filthy, they need to be cleaned more regularly. The food court area is kept cleaner than some other local malls I've been too in the San Antonio and surrounding area. I rate each store individually that's within the mall. This mall does Have a whole nyx cosmetics store,and they have mostly all the popular name brands. Just your typical mall
