North Station (MBTA)

The place looks modern and very well-kept. Getting here is super easy thanks to the direct subway and train connections. On game days, the atmosphere is spectacular and full of energy. A comfortable and visually great experience.

Fabulous location where everything is from TD Gardens to the Hub Hall. It’s also walking distance from Quincy Market & also a long and pleasant walk away from the harbour.

The Commuter Rail Hub is efficient, clean and well appointed with stores for coffee, snacks and a convenience store. The T station is a walk, but the tunnel keeps commuters warm. The station also has indoor access to an excellent food court, called the Hub, not to mention access to a Start Market grocery store downstairs. So, whether it is access to the T (Orange and Green D & E lines, the Commuter Rail hub, or the Amtrak to Maine, this is a very convenient commuter station. There are buses running from outside the hub on Causeway street to Cambridge - these are quite convenient except on heavy snow days (when the T is the better option for commuting into Cambridge (Green line to Park to Red line for Cambridge).

North station has really been upgraded. It’s still a hub for all things transportation, and home to the Bruins, Celtics, and popular concerts—but now they’ve added much more. There’s a night club, a hub hall (food court), hotels attached, and more. It’s really cool and totally accessible from the suburbs as well as inner city transit, making it super easy to visit.

Conviniently centered next to the North End and TD Garden is inside the station. Catch our home team games like Celtics and Bruins. You can jump on the Commuter Rail trains, the Green Line and the Orange Line from inside the statiom as well. Outside there are lots of bars and places to eat. Across the street is the State Street building and a hop skip and a jump to the North End.

We used the north station terminal a good few times on our trip to Boston taking the train to Salem. I’ve never seen anything like it! It’s So convenient, the staff are beyond helpful and it was so clean.

Never had an issue getting to and from my train. The signs are always great and keep you updated for when your train departs. Always keep an eye out for updates in case the track changes for your train. Otherwise it’s in a very convenient spot right into the North End of Boston!
