Northern Images

We went into several of the "galleries" on the main drag in the older section of the town. They all had local art, some craft and a lot of Chinese made some souvenirs. Also, for some reason, a large selection of maple syrup products. You have to know what you are looking for, and maybe a bit about the local artists. I forgot to note which pictures where of which stores and can not tell from looking at them now. Some had more local art than others, some were tourist traps. All were fun to check out, so I'd just suggest you walk the streets and try them all.

Loved this place. Great selection of art from local artists in painting, carvings, beadwork, fur and ... as well as printed pieces and cards. Prices are all different ranges for different budgets and fairly priced for the type and amount of work that has gone into making these beautiful things. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Nice store with lots of options - great for souvenirs/gift giving. Lots of nice artwork as well. The owner was super nice and friendly as well. Got all my souvenir shopping done here !!

Super great art/souvenir store. Owner is A++ for customer service. Hell, I tried to tip him for the service-- he cut me a deal that I'm sure he lost money on, and I at least wanted to make up for his loss by giving his staff a few bucks-- and he refused. I was seriously o_0 and cannot rate Northern Images highly enough.
