Northern Light Inn & Max's Restaurant

Everything was perfect. My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and we loved how close it was to the Blue Lagoon and the spa amenities. Staff were nothing but caring and nice and super helpful no matter the question. Rooms were pristine and looked exactly as pictured online. We are already planning our next trip back and would highly recommend to anyone considering traveling to Iceland.

We stayed two times in one trip at the hotel, because we liked the first time so much that we went back and ended our Iceland trip here. We stayed in a deluxe room both times, and it is really good value given its location next to the Blue Lagoon, the free drinks and the excellent Occitane de Provence toiletries. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and spacious. The restaurant is also nice, and good value too. Everyone is friendly and helpful. So don’t let the unassuming exterior frighten you you will have a memorable stay for sure.

After coming off an overnight flight we loved the location of this hotel to the airport and how accommodating the staff was! Our room was not ready quite yet as we arrived early, but the friendly staff made sure we were able to get into a room as soon as possible! We dined at Max's restaurant and it was a great option at the hotel! They were able to adjust our taxi service time back to the airport for us and the shuttle to/from the Blue Lagoon was a great addition! We are already planning our trip back!

The northern light inn is a 5 min drive from the Blue Lagoon, 22km from the airport and around 20 km from a church site, a volcano hike, and a lighthouse. So its location is a great draw. The rooms were super comfortable , with free drinks in fridge, a safe and robe and slippers. The wellness spa has sauna and steam room to use. The area is surrounded by lava field and a heating plant . Included was a breakfast buffet in the restaurant which was a great start to the day. We drove to the lagoon but the hotel has a free shuttle. We ate at the Restaurant Max's and enjoyed the meal. Staying hear for us was the end of our vacation and was very convenient and enjoyable.

This is a wonderful, friendly hotel. Lovely rooms, great restaurant and brilliant staff. As well as organising our trip to the Blue Lagoon, Karolina helped us arrange a taxi to take us to the start of the trail to the volcano (after checking on the webcam what we might expect in terms of activity) and, when we returned - happy, excited but very wet -a few hours later, arranged for our clothes to be dried in their drier so we could head to the airport warm and dry. While our coats dried we had a delicious lunch in Max's. Karolina, you made our great stay an exceptional one and if (when) we come to Iceland again we'll definitely be back.

Fantastic hotel, a 5 minute drive from the Blue Lagoon. The staff were very welcoming, allowed us to check in several hours early. Dinner on site was one of our best meals in Iceland. The shuttle to and from the Blue Lagoon is very convenient if you are jet lagged or plan to consume alcohol.

Absolutely magical stay! Beautiful rooms with stunning views, warm and welcoming staff, and dinner and breakfast that’s simply perfect. Perfect location for exploring blue lagoon, Volcano and much more. The rooms essentials are so on point, bed was wonderful. Iceland magical ❤️
