Best food ever!! The service is usually great, maybe it was just a bad day 🤷🏾‍♀️ but I enjoy myself every visit. Love this spot!

The atmosphere is dope, the food I wasn't able to try but they added a new item to the menu. It took quite a while to get the food out so by the time I was able to order i wasnt hungry anymore, but a few people told me it was mediocre at best. They have hookahs and the TV setup for sports is nice. The A/C was working there are fans nearly in every sport of the place to keep it flowing but it still gets uncomfortable with a place full of patrons. Hope they get it better id like to go back and rerate.

What impressed me most was the owners' unwavering commitment to excellence, reflected in their "Get it right" business mindset. They actively seek feedback, fostering an environment where patrons feel valued and heard. Northern Lites doesn't just offer a meal; it provides a genuine Louisiana food experience. The menu, a perfect blend of traditional favorites and innovative creations, showcases the essence of Cajun and Creole culinary traditions. The flavors burst with authenticity, transporting me to the heart of Louisiana. Notably, the steak at Northern Lites is surprisingly good. Cooked to perfection, it's a delightful surprise on a menu already filled with standout options. The catfish and shrimp, in particular, rival many New Orleans favorites. Great staff in there, I always stop by on Thursday for steak. Don't stay to long, because I be tired. The crowd be nice with a great vibe. Clean through out.

Came for karaoke night while we were visiting. The staff, the owner, was superb. My friends and I had a blast. I definitely will visit next time we are back in New Orleans.the food was hot, fresh, and delicious.

Nice place. Hugh dance floor. Passed on boiled crayfish. They were too small for this point in the season IMO. Purchased 1 beer. Wasn't as cold as prefer. I like my beer ice cold, like 33°. Had to wait for all the bartenders to get off the dance floor line dancing to get my beer. Lacked diversity. Not welcoming to men. Left after about an hour of line dance music & line dancing. It's a sad commentary on the state of socialization & male/female relationships in the Black community. There was a time when "Ladies Night" meant all the ladies came to the club with their girlfriends to dance, socialize, and meet men, not each other. Makes you long for the days of Kool & The Gang's, "Ladies Night". I'm all for female empowerment & Black Girl Power but not if it means the demise of the intersection of interpersonal gender relationships, family, wealth, and sovereignty of diaspora. At a time when DEI is under siege by extreme, hegemonic Western Cultural values, when our primary purpose & focus should be unity & solidarity, Black people are segregating themselves by gender. So this is our first time! And we definitely will be back. First; we were sitting in the car and we were greeted and welcomed to come in! I love dat. Second; the drinks were amazing. Rum punch, Amaretto Sour, Casamigos drinks were made just right. Our bartenders were very attentive. The wings?! AMAZING- “Bussin” sauce was AWESOME!!! The fries were great as well. My sister got the lemon pepper wings and they were “bussin” as well. The owner is very personable and dedicated to his customers. I’m love the music that’s played. The bartender mentioned brunch. And we will DEFINITELY BE BACK. Bottomless mismos? Yup, we love it here. Thank you for making us feel welcomed!

Definitely the hottest hole in the wall bar in Slidell. Visited this place for my friend bday and it was a DJ, twerking, ass shaking on a bar, and hookahs. I think it's only one way in and out. The food was rolling but the drinks were weak, not premium liquor. Not my crowd but it's a vibe for those who love it. Must be 25 or older.

Good vibes! My friend and I left a party. I decided to stop by because I heard good things about the spot. I was starving so I came to get me something to eat. The bussin wings were entirely overcooked. I placed the order for takeout. I didn't try the food before I took off. Now I'm stuck and still no food. Can't eat the shit. I would go back to chill and listen to good music. The service was good. Jada was attentive.

Always such great food. Such a great environment. Staff are always amazing. Food is top tier. This time we ordered our faves which included the Bussin Burger and the Smothered potatoes with Catfish and they delivered! The flavor of both items were out of this world!! This place never lets me down!! If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out. The portions are also unbelievelbably huge!! Do yourself a favor!! Eat here or order here!!! You wont regret it!

The food is good, the drinks makes sense, the owner is awesome, and the DJ is lit. The only problem I ever have with these reviews is someone might read and start talking about my spot. Lol.

Let me just say I love the DJs, and the special guest like Rude Jude. The club and the bathrooms are usually clean. However, the bartenders ignore you even if you tip. Took over 30 minutes to get a drink at the bar and placed an order at the kitchen and forgot about, even after inquiring about the order 3x. I really enjoy the vibe but the service needs to be improved!!! Just saying. You would think they would appreciate their regular customers.
