NORTHERN SOUL MANCHESTER

Despite having visited Manchester countless times, this was my first visit to Northern Soul, and I was not disappointed. The staff were lovely, attentive but not overbearing, and very helpful. Service was fast and flawless too. I had The Soul, Buffalo chicken fries, and an ice cold Coke, and I’m still thinking about them now! It was hard to decide what to order, because so many things on the menu sounded delicious, but that just means I’ll have to go back again and try some other things too. I’ll definitely be recommending Northern Soul to others, and I’ll be back again soon!

Heavy banging bit. The Christmas special toastie should be a staple, a Yorkshire pudding on a toastie was the last thing I was expecting, but for proper dirty food this was something I didn’t know I needed in my life. The scran was very filling, and good value for money. Just very simple food that can cure any hangover. The super bocks coming in a freezing cold glass was a great touch too. Staff were incredibly friendly, but be prepared for a wait on a weekend day. Had to wait for around 10 mins, but was in and served in rapid time. Very chilled out vibe in the place, great to have a quick bite. For a wholesome and warming toastie or maybe even a burger this place was a banging wee addition to a visit to Manchester. Cheers :)

Lovely grilled cheese place. It has good options for vegetarians and the portions fills you up. The mac and cheese is also very creamy and flavourful. I had the kimchi sandwich and the cabbage flavour was not overwhelming neither the spice level. My friend had the fried chicken one and it was super yummy as well, the meat was not dry and the coating not too thick. Overall good place, would go back! It’s a bit busy during the weekend might need to wait to get seated.

Undoubtedly, this is the best grilled cheese sandwich restaurant in Manchester. Many people might tell you curry mile as the gem of Manchester. Don't listen to them - the true gem of Manchester lies in the Nirthern Quarter. And, this one, is truly one of the bests in the Northern Quarter. If you are around, and want to grab a bite on yummy cheesy sandwiches - this is the right place to go. Among the items we tried, the Bang Bang Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich was so yum, best I have ever had in Manchester. And, it went to well with the Jamaican Beer I had. Last but not the least: the staffs were very nice and friendly. One heads up: on weekends - you can expect a long a queue. But, on weekdays, its easier to find a table even during the lunch time.

Great food overall but we were expecting more melted cheese in our toasties. However they were still good and therefore not too greasy. Beef fries were tasty, good quantities.

100000% would recommend anyone and everyone to come here for food! I had the best winter colada (pina colada with cinnamon), and the most amazing fried chicken Mac n cheese and every time im back in Manchester, this is my go to place for some scran 🥰

A grilled cheese like no other! Ordered a sticky chilli chicken special with a side of house fries, and a watermelon iced tea and nothing missed the mark! A little on the side of pricey, but if you enjoy good food, this is definitely worth your money!

We were in Manchester for 2 days and had to try Northern Soul as their sandwiches looked amazing. So that's what we did. We got there at around 11:45am and it was fairly empty, but then as dinner time approached it stared filling up quickly! The staff were so nice and friendly, the building was cool and trendy and the food was absolutely unreal! My mam ordered the El Jefe with a side of Mac N Cheese, and I ordered the Bacon Jam with extra fried chicken. The first bite was like biting into perfection, meaty but also sweet at the same time, then savoury from the bread. The rest of the sandwich didn't last log after that! Mam said the El Jefe was one of the best sandwiches she's ever tasted - and she's a mam who has made sandwiches for years! I would 100% recommend a trip to Northern Soul for an amazing food experience 😀
