I would highly recommend Northern Tales to anyone who comes to Whitehorse. We booked the 5 day package which included hotel, a city tour, 4 nights of Aurora viewing, snowmobiling, the Wildlife Preserve, and dog sledding. We also added an extra night and an ice fishing and snowshoeing tour. Everything was well organized and a lot of fun. The guides were all great - friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to everyone’s needs. It was one of the best vacations we’ve been on and Northern Tales is a big part of that!

My friend and I had a great time with Northern Tales! Mike and Jourdain were great guides around Whitehorse and during our excursions. Northern Tales was so convenient and easy to book with, and were so accommodating when we asked to add a new excursion last minute. The cabins for the Aurora watching were warm and comfortable and we appreciated the snacks and warm drinks offered! We were given great photos of us as well, and we had an overall fantastic time with Northern Tales and will be recommending this agency to friends and family. Both Matteo and Benedikt were also lovely guides on our dogsledding, wildlife, and city tours.

We had an unforgettable 5-day Yukon experience with Northern Tales Service, and it was truly exceptional! From the thrilling dog mushing adventure to the serene off-the-grid cabin stay, every moment was perfectly curated. The onsen-style hot springs offered incredible relaxation after days of exploration, and the breathtaking northern lights were the highlight of the trip. We spent four nights in Whitehorse participating in a Northern Lights expedition with Northern Tales Travel Services. Each evening, we ventured out around 10:00 PM and returned around 2:30 AM. The first night was truly spectacular, with intense Northern Lights activity, including a brief display of dancing lights. The second night offered a glimpse of the aurora, but it was less active. Unfortunately, the third night was completely overcast, preventing any sightings. Due to an early flight, we opted to skip the fourth night. Kevin Kulow, our guide for the first two nights, was exceptional. He was incredibly informative and knowledgeable, sharing his passion for the aurora and his experiences as an explorer and photographer. We highly appreciate Northern Tales Travel Services and especially Kevin's outstanding service. This was truly a memorable and unforgettable experience.

My friends and I did a 4 night Aurora tour with all the activities (dog sled, snowmobile, wildlife park and hot springs). It was a fantastic experience! From the start the team was very helpful - organising our itinerary and making sure we were able to do everything we wanted. They were also very helpful when our dog sledding got cancelled due to the weather, helping us reschedule so we didn’t miss out. Though the aurora didn’t come out every night, it was still fun waiting at the cabins and sitting by the fire with a hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows. The guides were all amazing, particularly Kevin and Mike. They made the experience so fun and were helpful the entire time we were there, sharing stories about the area and their experiences living there. It was like nothing I’ve ever experienced and was definitely a highlight of our trip to Canada.

Really enjoyed the Aurora Borealis and Southern Lakes Resort package over the new year. Northern Tales was great to deal with. We had a number of email exchanges to sort out the details for our trip and they nearly always responded within 24 hours. We were keen to go dog sledding, snow mobilling and to see the Wildlife Preserve and hot springs and Northern Tales was able to accommodate all our requests. On arrival in Whitehorse, we found the Northern Tales to again be very helpful and made sure our activities went smoothly. As they are based in Whitehorse, they had staff on hand to sort out any issues. We had absolutely no complaints. Would highly recommend this company and would happily use them again.

I highly recommend this group to help plan great adventures in the Yukon. All of the guides that I had were so friendly, so knowledgeable and so helpful to ensure your best experience. I was lucky enough to see the northern lights on my trip with them. They also helped me with my camera settings so I would get the best pictures.
