Northfield Cafe and Jesse James Bar

Love the ambiance of the place. The foods were good. Butter chicken and paneer was amazing. The grilled chicken sandwich was too basic however. The chicken Mexican was really worth it. The chicken sizzler was also really flavourful. The drinks were really bad however. The lemonade and milkshakes cannot be recommended.

We were tired with all that loud music and noise around thamel and just need a peaceful time for this night and came here, up on arrival other host and server greets and welcome the guest but here their face was like they don’t need guest and sales. It was already 10:15pm and while giving menu they told us the last food order will be 11pm which was ok and we order dinner and for drinks they told us that 12am is the last time they serve drinks so we order drinks and snacks ahead before finishing our dinner but they were so eager to send us fast, while we were eating dinner they already brought snacks and drinks at first they told us that we can have drinks till late time and they have security guard to open the gate and assist us so we order beers and wine and additional snacks and we paid the whole bill because we don’t want to hold the servers and other staffs but after sometime of paying the bills they come to us and told us to leave and told us we can’t stay here as it’s already closed and told to finish fast. The pictures below are the time when we were told to leave fast, the snacks and remaining beers with half bottle wine were still there. It completely ruin the mood and vibes. Totally disappointed, treatment from local restaurants to local guest nowadays is very bad they only treat well to english people.

Our experience at Northfield Restaurant was fantastic! The food quality and quantity exceeded our expectations, offering delicious and satisfying portions. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming vibe. With both outdoor and indoor seating, the restaurant provides a romantic atmosphere perfect for a date night or special occasion. The outdoor area is especially scenic, making it a great spot for photos. Highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience!

Worst experience ever. Ordered nachos, pizza, cappacino and peach ice tea . Nacho had weird smell seems old and peach ice tea was just ice water with little tea and cappacino was horrible. We shouted out for this. Asked them to cancel everything as we didn't consume anything. Still they took this money

This place is amazing!!!! The food is soooo good, the portions are enormous, the live band is the best Nepali traditional music I've heard all over Nepal, and I've been here 3 months already. The staff is so friendly and I danced with them traditional Nepali dances. I wish I had more time to enjoy this place. They got 3.8 stars and it does not reflect the perfection of the place. Truly amazing. *The band are from a tribe that plays that music for hundreds of years, so it's really unique, and they raise money for the poor children of Nepal, so that's also great.

Beautiful atmosphere, two fire pits, soothing Nepali live music playing , candlelight on the table, and nice comfort food. We stopped by around 8:30pm for tea and some desserts, we got pulled in by the sound of the lovely music and singing. There was a Nepali band playing some of the most soothing, beautiful and almost haunting tunes and singing. I didn’t understand anything, but I could feel their passion and definitely felt the sad songs. We had a delicious apple pie with ice cream, a brownie, mint tea and randomly because my son felt hungry some fries as well. Overall it was a really nice memory, probably one of my favourite places to chill in Thamel.

Actually this cafe is a really nice style, in a courtyard and open with lots of shade available. However it’s awkward when the waiter was hovering around for so long, felt pressured to order quickly without having enough time to read all the menu. Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, the bread was quite oily I couldn’t eat it, only ate the chicken inside, and the chips were as if they just come out of the oil they were covered in oil. I wouldn’t go back.

The food and atmosphere was nice and cozy under the shades but the service was just bad. I don’t know if it was just me who felt that way but they were just hovering around our table and constantly giving side eye. We felt awkward to even eat the food that we payed for, hospitality as well was absolute zero towards us.We could hear them gossiping and talking nonsense infront of other guests.Please train your staff to be more proffesional. Anyways im not coming back.
