Northland Lodge

I recently stayed at a charming, cozy lodge that offers a truly unique experience. This isn't a place for those seeking luxury; instead, it’s a beautifully preserved historic spot filled with original decor and character. It’s the perfect retreat for a group of friends traveling together. Evenings by the fireplace, sipping hot chocolate and sharing stories, make for unforgettable memories. In the mornings, you’re greeted with great coffee and delicious muffins in a communal space where everyone gathers, chats, and socializes. After a day of hiking through stunning landscapes, with wildlife all around, you can enjoy hot soup to warm up. And at night, there’s nothing like sitting on the balcony, gazing up at the endless stars, feeling completely at peace and welcome. Highly recommend for those who appreciate history, nature, and simple, heartfelt comforts.

Everything about the Northland Lodge is magical! It feels like a fairy tale, nestled into the side of the lush landscape, the trees whispering through the clean, fresh air. The breakfast muffins are delicious, the accommodations are very comfortable and thoughtful. One can be sure, great care was taken in every last detail. The little town is right down the road, with restaurants, shopping, and most beautiful scenery! Just a lovely short walk past the majestic Cameron Waterfall into town. Loved this place, and its host! Loved our stay in this lovely historic home. Jeanne was so welcoming and warm and the homemade muffins and Saskatoon pie were delicious. Quiet location and could here the waterfall from our bedroom window, quite lovely. Very pleasant experience. | Enjoyed our stay here and in Waterton very much. Highly recommend staying here!

This is a great B & B. Our room was comfortable and our host was exceptional. She made us feel welcome from the minute we walked in. We had fresh baked muffins every morning and their yummy Saskatoon pie twice! It is conveniently located close to town but not right in the middle of town making it quiet and relaxing. It is inside Waterton National Park making it easy to visit different places in the park.

We really enjoyed our experience at the Northland lodge. This is certainly only a place to stay at if you know what you are getting into however - You get a smaller room, with only the basics in there, and the place is pretty much a hostel where privacy is really never to be expected. However, if you are going to Waterton with the idea of going out and about and never really sticking around, this place is perfect! If you love chatting to strangers about their plans for the day while enjoying great warm homemade muffins, this is your place! ||Regardless, me and my partner loved our stay here. It was cozy, close to the Falls in town, and for us, we just walked to the townsite for food and whatnot, and left the car in their back lot!||We enjoyed the upper deck for reading, the front chairs for reading, the stars were amazing to see at night, and the table in our room got used for plenty of cribbage!||Despite being a bit more on the "Non-private" side, we had our own shower and bathroom, and it was mostly quiet when we were in our room. The blinds are great, and honestly when in our room it was perfect for a couple on an anniversary trip as we were.||Thanks for having us, we have recommended you to our friends and family! :)

We spent four nights at Northland Lodge. The first two nights upstairs in Room 2 which has three beds ans was very spacious for the two of us. Because it was extremely hot during our visit we were happy to find a window air conditioner to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. For nights three and four we were asked to move downstairs to Room 6 adjacent to the dining room. Large windows we could open at night and a small fan kept us cool. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and decorated with old fashioned bedding and accessories. Very comfortable beds!|Coffee and fresh muffins every morning for guests was a nice touch. Location is on the edge of town close to Cameron Falls and an easy walk to the beach and local restaurants. Friendly manager if you need anything. Floors a little creaky and walls a bit thin but it's an old building so to be expected. Overall we loved our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend this property.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Northern Lodge. This is an older building, but very nicely maintained, clean and peaceful. The location is quiet, very close to the waterfall and easy hiking trails. The coffee was good, the muffins were very tasty and freshly out of the oven. The parking was ample enough for 7-8 larger vehicles. Would go back without hesitation.

This stay was so quiet and peaceful. The room was very clean and tidy, the bed was made beautifully and the pillows were so nice! It’s in a beautiful location too. They had homemade muffins and juice etc in the morning ready warm for us to enjoy. What a nice place to stay! Private entrances too! 10/10 would recommend!
