Gates of the Arctic Is the Most Peaceful U.S. National Park — How to Visit
"A coastal town north of the Arctic Circle, serving as a gateway to Alaska's remote northern parks. Visitors can explore the town and learn about traditional Iñupiaq culture at the Northwest Arctic Heritage Center." - Emily Hart
Very well done and informative center, not at all surprising given most of these facilities are. Helpful personnel, and arguably the best (only?) tourism-type destination in the town.

What a beautiful gem in the middle of Kotzebue. The staff are Wonderfull and helpful. I loved to stand in the room and listen to all of the sounds they have going on. If you close your eyes it'd be like your right there. Thanks for the great visit!

This is a surprisingly large and we'll staffed center devoted to the people and lands of Northwestern Alaska. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and will go out of their way to get you up to speed on the opportunities that are waiting for you outside their doors. It includes an excellent museum and multiple programs are offered to locals and visitors alike.

Ranger Jim was knowledgeable and fun to talk with. The displays were informative and educational, and fun, too. We asked to watch the short Kobuk Valley film. They were very friendly and accommodating. Easy walk from the Nullagvik Hotel
