Norwegian House

What impressed me equally was how strongly the museum pairs that historical side with contemporary art commissions and exhibitions. It doesn’t feel like two separate worlds; instead the modern work dialogues with the history and place in a meaningful way. And then there’s the museum gift shop. Without exaggeration, it’s genuinely one of the best I’ve ever seen. The range and quality of objects - local art, thoughtful design pieces and things that reflect the character of the region - make it worth a stop even if you weren’t planning to shop.

Lots of furniture and an attic full of nicknacks. I myself was a bit underwhelmed but my wife liked it so it gets 4 stars.

Beautiful exhibit. Very nice handicrafts in the museum shop. The salesperson in the shop was very knowledgeable about the house and told us lots of things we would have missed.

Well, if I could pick any house to live in, it would be this one. Until i figure out how to do it, it'll remain a great little museum.

5 stars for a beautifully restored and authentic home, 1 star for the disinterested staff and lack of information about the many things you are seeing.

A great place to take you back in the 18 hunderds...good preserved..

Nothing very special but still a nice little museum. Loads of furniture.
