We highly recommend Nostos Hotel! After traveling all night, they kindly allowed us to check in early when no other hotel would. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and the location was perfect, right in the heart of everything.

Old world, charming hotel overlooking the water. We absolutely loved it! The room was a little noisy from the fun outside in the evening but we were so tired from the day’s activities, we didn’t mind one bit. The staff were incredibly kind and professional. We will stay here again in the future and look forward to it!

Lovely little hotel in the middle of Old Town. The rooms are very clean, the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, and the overall decor has a nice vibe. The building is old so you can expect some level of noise from the adjacent rooms - personally, I did not find it to be an issue and slept soundly. We really enjoyed the shared rooftop terrace - it gives a beautiful view of the port and surrounding buildings… perfect to enjoy with a morning coffee, or an evening glass (or two) of wine :) Highly recommend Nostos for your stay!

I will knock off some stars here for something really fundamental.|We stayed for 3 nights.|The hotel is very nice and charming itself. Located in the heart of action in the Chanias old town. We have got a nice room facing the harbour, with a little balcony. I was concerned with the night at night since the harbour area is full of restaurants and bars. But to our surprise, it was ok. We could sleep just fine. |The room itself was of course an oldie but this is pretty normal for such kind of establishment.|The staff was also very polite and helpful with suggestions and information.|We didn't try any meals in the property.|The only complaint we have is with water in the shower. The first day we managed to have a shower, albeit waiting for some time for hot water to appear. On the last day however, we waited in vain. Hot water simply was not there. As we were checking out imminently we didn't raise it to hotel. |PS: we also asked for a late check out till 5-6pm and the receptionist advised that it would cost 80euros. We opted out and stayed in another hotel close to the port for fraction of that.

Even though it is not "perfect", I absolutely loved this hotel! It is a small boutique hotel ideally situated on Chania's old harbour. Rooms are full of charm and of good size, you are in the middle of the action, and views are fabulous. ||The nature of the hotel comes with its own challenges, and perhaps this is what I should start with:||- if you travel with large luggage, beware that the hotel has no lift and stairs are quite steep, so if so, you may prefer to ask for a room on the 1st floor. Some rooms also have internal mezzanines. |- Wifi is really hit and miss|- As other reviewers mentioned, it can be hard to get hot water and the system is fragile so that one morning there was none at all and they had to call a technician to fix it|- The area is pedestrian - about 10 minutes (leisurely) walk to the bus station and the nearest road so best for people who like walking.||Having said that, none of this bothered me personally. I loved my room and its decor, I found the bed really comfortable (though pillows were really hard), I loved the location, and the staff were lovely. There is a roof terrace with a view to the harbour, a mini fridge in the room if you like to keep some food, and everything was clean and fresh. ||I'll definitely be back!

Nostos Hotel is a quaint characterful hotel. We had a gorgeous room overlooking Chania harbour, and it was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch everything. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a yummy breakfast the following morning, which was included in the price. Would definitely recommend it and will certainly return.

3 of us had our flight home cancelled by one day so I booked Nostos for one night as our villa could not accomodate us. It is a real gem. The owners are so helpful. Our room was fab, overlooking the narrow walkway outside, a pretty grey and cream room with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was generous, boiled eggs, artisan breads, jams, honey, greek yoghurt and freshly squeezed orange juice. They have a gorgeous roof terrace with views overlooking the old port, covered so you are protected from the sun with cool breezes. This place is a real find and not to be missed.
