Not Just a Tourist

We recently completed an 18 day visit to of parts of Spain, and we utilized Not Just a Tourist for two tours. First, we booked private transport from Granada to Seville, with stops in Setenil de las Bodegas, Ronda, and Zahara. Joan was our guide and driver, and we can't recommend him highly enough! He was very knowledgeable and also just so personable! We had some great conversations as we traveled between cities. And though the weather wasn't always the best, Joan was a real ray of sunshine! We also booked a private Flamenco and Tapas Bar tour in Seville. We met our guide Costanza, who is currently a Flamenco dancer, in Triana. She walked us around on an abbreviated tour of Triana, which included two tapas bars with a visit to a tablao in between to see a flamenco show in a small intimate setting. It was a great evening! Again, Costanza was not only knowledgeable, but it was like hanging out with an old friend! Both tours / activities were wonderful, and we highly recommend contacting Not Just a Tourist for your travel needs!!!

We booked a private Gibraltar day tour, and it was really wonderful!! Our driver & guide for the journey to & from Gibraltar was Carlos, and he was so enthusiastic, helpful, and engaging. He gave us a lot of history about Seville and kept us entertained on the drive to Gibraltar. He clearly coordinated the transfer with our guide in Gibraltar who also made our experience really fun. The stops in Gibraltar were beautiful, and it was nice to have free time after to enjoy lunch and some souvenir shopping. For the drive back to Seville, Carlos was punctual to meet us and even helped guide us back to our hotel at the end of the tour. Would strongly recommend this tour, it was so worth it to book a private tour for this experience and to book with Not Just a Tourist.

I can’t say enough positive things about Not Just a Tourist!! I found them when searching for travel options between Granada, Sevilla, & Lisbon. From the get-go, the owner Mahsa was prompt and organized, answering all my questions about private transfers and suggestions for daytime excursions. Pricing was very reasonable and the service was excellent. We ended up booking several private tours with them, including tours of the Alhambra in Granada, Mezquita in Cordoba, tapas & flamenco show in Sevilla, and wine tasting in Évora during our transfer to Lisbon. Private transfers were in very comfortable SUVs and offered a unique chance to see the gorgeous countryside. All of our guides were on time and well prepared, contacting us the day before via WhatsApp to confirm our tour details. We had a full day tour of Ronda, Setenil de las Bodegas and Zahara de la Sierra, starting in Malaga and ending up in Seville. My email communications with Not Just a Tourist gave me a lot of confidence in the organization and their pricing was very reasonable. Joan was our guide and he was terrific. He was friendly, kept up the conversation, was knowledgeable about what we were seeing and made sure we had a great time. We had considered driving ourselves but quickly realized that part of these drives was not for the faint of heart.

We had such a memorable day with Not Just a Tourist! It started with horse riding in Doñana National Park, which was really beautiful and the horses are well looked after. Unfortunately, I wasn’t feeling well, but our guide Carlos was unbelievably kind—he personally assisted me to the hospital and even took me to the pharmacy to make sure I felt better so we could continue the day. His care and dedication really went above and beyond. In the afternoon, we explored the chapel and the Alcázar with Sara. The sights themselves are breathtaking, but what made it so special was Sara’s excellent knowledge and engaging way of sharing history. We ended the day with a Flamenco and tapas tour led by Constanza, which was the absolute highlight of our evening! She created such a fun, vibrant atmosphere and gave us an unforgettable taste of Seville’s culture. Not Just a Tourist truly delivers unique, well-organized experiences with guides who genuinely care. Highly recommended!

Being near Panama and the Pacific north of South America, I had the opportunity to learn about the services and routes offered by Not Just a Tourist, so we put as a nearby destination Gibraltar and some areas of northern Morocco, after a few months my wife and I made the trip and frankly the accompaniment the Not Just a Tourist has been unbeatable, clear reservations and efficient care, fully recommended the south of Andalusia and Morocco visit by the hand of this company, to repeat. We are planning in less than 6 months to take some of the other routes offered by NJAT, we are going to travel by motorbike and we are planning a great route through Spain. thanks Not Just a Tourist!!!

We shared a visit to Sevilla with two of our teenage nephews, as it is one of our favorite places in Spain. We have taken several walking tours in Sevilla over the years and this half day tour with Reme was exceptional! Her knowledge of the history of Sevilla, local customs, and best places to enjoy food and drinks were exceptional. (And appreciated!) On top of her impressive knowledge, Reme was skilled at keeping all of us engaged by asking and answering questions throughout the tour. NJAT was super professional confirming logistics and details up to one week prior to our Cordoba tour. They confirmed and reconfirmed which was really helpful.
