Brilliant afternoon here with my wife and parents. The fort has loads of information about its history over its three levels in its labyrinthine tunnels and has spectacular coastal views looking out across the English Channel. I would definitely recommend this amazing place allow yourself up to four hours to go round the fort.

Amazing place to visit steeped in history for construction, dereliction in the 70's to restoration to what it is today. There's a lot to see with interactive displays and exhibits for the younger visitors. It took us 2 visits to see it all which is another plus for the place as the ticket price doubles as an annual pass. The on site catering facilities are excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and on hand to chat and discuss anything you may want to ask them. It's a remarkable place and we're glad we visited. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for something to do in Weymouth and you can then enjoy the gardens after your visit if you have time.

A wonderful place to visit. There are lifts to the different levels and the majority of items are step free. There are well laid out ramps that are suitable for wheelchairs. There is plenty of parking which is not free outside the venue. There is a sloping down hill walk go the entrance. A well stocked shop which you enter and exit the site. There is a large cafe and lots of seating inside and out. Disabled toilet next to the cafe. The rooms around the site are well laid out with lots of information

The scenery here is truly breathtaking — a perfect blend of history, nature, and the sea all in one place. It’s a spot that definitely deserves more appreciation and care. While the natural beauty is undeniable, the area would benefit from better maintenance and cleanliness. Adding more benches and picnic tables would make it even more enjoyable for families and visitors. The restroom facilities don’t seem to fully meet the needs of the visitors either. Still, despite these small shortcomings, it’s a magnificent place where you can relax, enjoy the view, and feel completely refreshed."

An absolutely brilliant experience that takes you on a journey of the history of the original Victorian fort through two World Wars and then the Cold War, when part of the fort was used as a Nuclear Bunker. The films and exhibits are superb and the D-Day exhibition, which highlights the role of Weymouth in the D-Day landings and Operation Overlord, is outstanding. There are also amazing views across Weymouth, the Jurassic Coast and Portland. There's a great little café too! It's well worth the entrance fee!

Google
Great place to visit, very interesting to read the history and a nice place to have a cream tea or even bring your own picnic, we had a bit of fun with the kids searching for the decorated mice hidden all around the fort, and there is a surprising amount of them to find, good arm workout, if you have smaller kids that want to see some of the mice that would be otherwise out of their view. We came back a second time in the week as the ticket lasts a year. Friendly staff and an all round good day out

Visited Nothe Fort while on a trip to Weymouth. An historic sea defence fort with a long history of use before and after WW2. Fantastic view of Weymouth and the coast. Lots of old armaments, and history to explore. The museum down below in the tunnels is the highlight. Nice cafe there too to rest and refresh. Next to the park gardens once you're finished inside. Annual family membership for £25. Nice day out.

An absolutely brilliant place to visit. Every member of staff was polite, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. The whole experience was fantastic but stumbling upon the Nuclear shelter was an unexpected highlight. Would 100% recommend

Yelp
A brillant day out sounds boring visiting a forte but the minute you walk in it has your gripped. the feeling and the place where it is situated all help you to take you back and feel what is was like to be there when it was built. The kids are given a sheet where they have to hunt for hidden toy mouses. Hint take a small notepad and pencil for the kids to keep count. The videos showing the forte throughout the years as well as videos showing how it was nelected but saved and shows the progress of the restoration. Various displays as well as equipment are all there to see and to touch, as well as mock up of events all help to make the experience a enjoyable one.. The cafe that is situated inside does a lovely cream tea. Also does kids boxes as well a hot and cold meals. The prices you would think would be over the top but I was very shocked at the price as they are very cheap, and the food is lovely..

Yelp
Nice walk around the Fort, we didn't go in there because we were repelled by the tacky advertisement and the posters in funfair-style hanging there. If there's really interesting historical stuff in there, nicely presented, it should be advertised that way. We had the bad luck to be there while there were the preparations for the olympic games were going on, so there was construction work in the garden done.

Yelp
Brilliant. A very reasonably priced day out with plenty to se and read. I found out a lot about the history of the building and war time escapades. Not really my scene usually but it got me very interested. If the children get bored there are mice hidden in the rooms and if the children count them they can get a certificate. Very good cafe with excellent bread pudding for sale.

Yelp
This excellent museum set in a Victorian fort overlooking the sea at Weymouth has got to be one of the best value visitor attractions in the area. As a Weymouth boy myself, I have visited this place more times than I can say and I still think its great. The museum is very informative without being boring - it is portrayed through still-life scenes of Victorian soldiers lives - some of the rooms being located underground in old tunnels and passages, some of which are very spooky - terrify the kids with the old fort ghost who whistles in the corridors! The kids will also love playing with the big guns on the roof too! Access for disabled visitors is quite limited however as some of the fort is up narrow stairs and therefore it is also difficult for buggy users. Parking nearby is unfortunately quite limited, especially in the holiday season. The fort has a tea room and a souvenir shop and is great value for money, with free child entry. Definitely one to take the kids to this summer.
