Awesome place! I’ve gotten all my tattoos done by Di and she’s amazing! Line work 10/10 plus 10/10 art, they have all healed very nicely as well, will be coming back for more of course!!

Nice spot with a really great group of people. Toni took care of me and not only was she able to accommodate my appointment pretty last second, but she gave me two killer tats to remember my visit to CA. Super happy.

Sam is absolutely amazing. My husband and I were suppose to be on a cruise (stupid ass birth certificate stopped us) for our honeymoon but it didn’t work out for us. so we went to San Diego. We wanted matching tattoos and Sam designed the most beautiful pieces we have. Thank you Sam for not only being amazing at what you do but making us feel at home!!! We will definitely be back for more ink!!!

Weather your a local or a tourist in SD and you want a tattoo this is the place to go! Me and my wife went in and were immediately greeted and welcomed. No appt, but we were sat right away! My artist was @inkinrez and he was such a solid dude. He knew how to make sure everything was accommodating and fitting for what and how I wanted it. My wife was tatted by @di.osipova and she met her needs perfectly aswell. Over all had the best walk in experience for tattoos ever. And their work proves it! 100/10😎

Miguel, Julian and Jake were fabulous! My family and I came in late on a Friday evening and Miguel greeted us right away. He showed us qr codes that link to each of the tattoo artists’ work. This was super helpful and allowed us to see whose style matched with the designs we were considering. There was no pressure, they gave us all the time we needed, answered our questions and offered us snacks and drinks. We made appointments for two days later as they were very accommodating to our scheduled activities. The day of our appointments, we had a blast! They made us all feel so comfortable with just the right amount of talking (while working the whole time). There was so much laughter and chill convo! Not to mention, our tattoos came out just the way we envisioned and they were completed much faster than we had anticipated. It was also Miguel’s birthday (the artist that did my tattoo) and since we had such an amazing time, we asked them all to take a picture with us. We were thrilled when they agreed!

I definitely recommend this tattoo shop! I’ve been here twice now and both times I’ve been beyond happy with my tattoos! I got them both done by Dee. She does such an amazing job, very detailed and delicate. And staff makes you feel comfortable!

My first experience with Dee was truly a core memory when it comes to tattoos. I came across Dee's account and shop during a late night impulsive search to find a new artist for custom pieces. After one conversation and inspo pics, Dee provided everything and so much more in my first tattoo done by her. I continue to see her regularly for an arm sleeve. Her fine line art is so detailed, she never misses. I'm going to be so sad when I leave SD but I look forward to visiting just to get some new art!

Toni took a concept that I was mulling over without much to reference specifically, just centered around Pink Floyd. The design she thought up was spot on with what I was feeling. Multiple sessions, and it's healed like the tattoo was always part of my skin. For her artistry alone, I don't ask anyone else to tattoo me.

Not enough amazing things to say about Anastasiia. She was just perfect. Drew me out a sketch, gave me a fair price and was really quick. I know that I didn't get anything complicated, but it was really meaningful to me - which she respected and was super kind about it. Would not hesitate to come.back for work again.

Rueben was amazing super fast and super friendly. He honestly left me amazed on my tattoo everyone was super welcoming and overall it was a bad ass tattoo highly recommend

My daughter and I went in to get tattoos with a similar theme to celebrate her move to San Diego and we had a rough idea of what we wanted. We explained this to the artist in studio, Toni. She was nothing but amazing from there on out. She came up with some great designs and customized them to what we were looking and asking. She took care and time to sketch them and then make sure we were 100 ready to go with size and placement. We are so happy with the results and will be coming to Toni for more work. We highly recommend this studio and appreciate the cleanliness and friendliness of Nothing Sacred.

I'm in love with my tattoo Justin did an amazing job not only on the work itself but the vibes were awesome. I felt very welcomed and he made sure that I was satisfied with the image that i was going to put on my leg. I'm very happy and looking forward to coming in again for my next tattoo.

UPDATE: I'm updating this review and rating - same day I wrote it. The owner of the shop, Di, actually reached out to me about the tattoo and offered to make it right by fixing the tattoo herself. Unfortunately, I live a few hours away, but here's an excuse for another road trip! :P The fact that she contacted me and offered to correct the tat whenever I have a chance to go back speaks volumes to her professionalism and care as the owner of this establishment. I can get down with that. I'll update again with a pic of the correction :) 4/17/2023 I sort of don't know where to start with this. The good is: They take walk-ins. It's 100min, it's across from The WNDR Museum, They're super friendly and it's a clean space. The rough is: I was a walk-in in a group of 3 and we were getting the same small tattoo. We were getting our tattoos with Artist 1. While Artist 1 was doing my cousin's tattoo, a different tattoo artist (Artist 2) came available. Artist 2, didn't know how to do shading on a palm tree. Artist 2 was referring to the way Artist 1 was doing shading, but Artist 2 shaded mine like a ball. LOL So, I have this palm tree spines of the frawns, but shaded into a ball LOL. OMG it's freakin' hilarious. I mean... I have to laugh cuz it's sad funny, but it's not funny cuz it's permanent. lol *shrugs* *sighs* I was just trusting in "the universe." HAHAHAH n the universe stood me up. lol It's cool... i mean... it's gna have to be. The awesome part is, it represents an amazing moment in time I had with my cousins on an emotionally tough day. It also makes me laugh because I was literally freaking out in the chair texting my cousins expletives. I saw what Artist 2 was doing and thinking, "this was a baaaaaad decision and I'm 100% sober" HAHAHAHAH. It's on the side so I can't see it and eventually, I'll have it fixed elsewhere. Geezey. Anyhow, I'm not going to name the artist. I don't want to throw them under the bus. They need the experience to learn. I get it. But definitely, need to practice on them shading skills lol.

I was in town for a cancer walk on November 4th. 6 of us stopped in to get small tattoos to commemorate our friend's year of remission. I asked for a bone (she had bone cancer) with watercolor splashes in the background. The artist, Anastasia, said this was no problem. It looks terrible and I told her in the shop that I did not like it. However, the tattoo took about 2 hours (insanely long) and I didn't have the time, nor did I trust her, to fix it as we were headed to the walk to raise money for cancer research. After a week of healing, it still looks terrible and I am scarred (I have SEVERAL tattoos and none have ever healed this way). I thought it may be infected ... but ... it looks horrible. You can hardly see the bone. I contacted the shop asking for a refund or SOMETHING (since I'm going to need to get a cover up or a fix) and they were super disrespectful & told me I was manipulating them. They basically said ... you signed the waiver. Out of our hands. I would NOT recommend dealing with whoever runs their social media (namely IG) or Anastasia if you ever happen upon this shop...

Came in for a medium tattoo in February. Work was pretty good, customer service not so much. If you want to feel like a machine is doing the work you're in luck. Customer service was ok leading up to the appointment, not so great during, and non existent after.

This place is a total joke! I walked out because the girl who was supposed to do my tattoo kept sketching her version of the picture I was showing her. I kept telling her that's not it. She would disappear for 5 minutes to sketch a new version and come back with nothing like what I was showing her. I had a picture of a very simple tattoo and just wanted it exactly as the picture. After about four tries of back and forth, I told her this would not work out, and I walked out. She said, "Thanks for wasting my time". She wanted to put the wrong tattoo on me, could not get it right, and I wasted her time? I am so glad I walked out. I went to another place nearby within walking distance of this one, which was much more professional. They were able to get my simple tattoo right literally on the first try. I am so glad I did not get my tattoo done at Nothing Sacred. If you have doubts, go with your gut feeling instead of getting stuck with a horrible tattoo! Shop around and look at the places nearby. There are better options.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this shop and Dee. I wanted to get my first tattoo and after a lot of research I landed on Dee over at Nothing Sacred in downtown. I had no idea about the tattoo process going into it and Dee immediately responded, answering all my questions in a welcoming me in a professional way. Upon arrival, the staff was extremely kind and discussed my tattoo design in detail. I wanted a few changes to the initial tattoo design Dee provided and they were happy to hear my feedback and make the changes. I was nervous and shaky during the tattoo but Dee was still able to draw perfect lettering that looked machine-like in precision and never even mentioned my shakiness. I'm so glad I chose Dee for my first tattoo and can't imagine going anywhere else. Impeccable tattoo, impeccable vibes. You won't regret Nothing Sacred!

So I got my first tattoo here about a month ago from Justin and the service and quality of the tattoo were both amazing, he was very considerate and even helped the tattoo by expanding on the original design, showing examples of how some colors dry, along with giving detailed aftercare instructions overall an amazing experience with immaculate vibes from the rest of the artists along with the tattoo itself healing very well I'll definitely be coming back for some of my next pieces.

Diana's energy is delightful, and her piercings save the day;) The complementary candy is also a great touch.

Memorializing a recent African safari. The flag,of Botswana surrounded by the outline of the African continent. Miguel was my artist and he did a superb job. The vibe was low key and comfortable. Miguel took time and worked patiently while, with his help, finalized the design. The outline and shading is really fine. Nothing Sacred Tattoo has been around for quite some time, which is a testament to the quality of their work. The shop is clean, well lighted, and a place to sit while things were getting set up. As this is not m first tattoo, I basically tuned into a Grateful Dead playlist the appropriate length of time it was anticipated, and off we went. I certainly recommend Nothing Sacred Tattoo and the artist, Miguel. Be forewarned, there's a sign on the counter informing those that Andre back before being called are subject to being kicked in the groin. I'm appreciative they cut me some slack.

What a fun memory! My wife and I chose to spend our ten year wedding anniversary in San Diego. We spontaneously walked into the shop and inquired about walk-in appointments. Unfortunately, the timing didn't work out for our first day, but we arrived at opening the following day and were greeted by a fantastic hostess who helped us by discussing our plans and ideas with us and the available artist in the shop. Our artist Julia's draft sketches of the different options we were considering were spot on, and very reasonably priced. I decided to get them both done! My wife started feeling so comfortable with the people in the shop, she decided to pull the trigger on a long contemplated first tattoo. Of course I had to get a matching one. Four tattoos finished in a few short hours, all beautiful. Thank you Nothing Sacred for a memorable experience and for the fantastic work we will cherish forever!

I found this place based off good reviews here, I made an appointment and had my tattoo done just two days later! My tattoo was done perfectly and at a reasonable price! I can't be happier with the results! Definitely recommend this business and I will be back!!

Dee and her assistant were so friendly and welcoming during all of my tattoos. I only went to Dee because her talent is amazing and she takes good care of her client. They talked with me during my longer sessions and overall made the experience so good I can't wait to get back in for another tattoo. I seriously can't say enough good things, Dee is the person to go to for tattoos, big or small!

By far the greatest tattoo shop in San Diego. My wife and I have gotten a ton of tattoos over the years from multiple different artists and none of them even come CLOSE to what Leo can do. I've had artists that are nationally acclaimed do work, and side by side with Leo's art, look like an apprentice did it compared to Leo's masterful work. Dude should be in Ink Masters fast-laned to the finale. Met the guy through happenstance selling him a motorcycle and has become more than just an artist, but a friend too. From here on out, I don't want anybody but Leo doing my art. 100% shoutout to @tattoos_by_leo

Did my pointe shoe tattoo with Julia. Could not have asked for a better tattoo. She made it way better than the original photo I showed her. Her fine line precision and attention to detail is amazing. She was so incredibly kind and nonjudgmental. She just wanted to make sure I liked it. If you want dainty fine line tattoos, I would get them done with her. Thank you so much julia!!!

Love coming to get work done with Di! She's fast, consistent, precise and sociable! Her prices are very reasonable for the quality of work she does. I'll continue to go back to her for more tattoo work!

I got a spine tattoo done at Nothing Sacred by the owner who goes by Dee. She was so professional and patient with me. VERY talented and did exactly what I came in there for. Her work is immaculate and I always get compliments on how clean the wording is. I am super happy with my experience and the service I received here. Definitely recommend this tattoo shop, location is great, shop is CLEAN, staff is friendly and incredibly professional.

Update: Business owner responded to the review and seemed to care more that I updated the year that I got the tattoo. She also stated that the business owner has changed. The new business owner was in fact the one that used the expired ink that caused the skin infection. Now I'll say it, DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP.

I've had 6 tattoos done by Dee over the course of almost a year! I have always had a great experience when I come in and even in the communication that takes place beforehand. She loves what she does and is so quick and efficient. I've had other tattoo artist make me feel bad or uncomfortable because I have a low pain tolerance but D is so patient and sweet! Even when I accidentally twitch she manages to keep my tattoo error free! She always makes sure the tattoo is exactly how I want it. Her prices are super reasonable given her excellent work!! I've never left unhappy!!

This shop has such a chill atmosphere and always a good time to be here. I love going to Di, she has been tattooing me for over a year now and is my go to since she is so versatile with tattoos. Definitely looking to keep her as my artist for a long time!!! Highly recommend!

I have been coming to this shop for about two years now. A friend of mine recommended going to Dee, and since then I have been going to her only. She's such an amazing tattoo artist and the sweetest person in general. Literally have not gone to anyone else BUT her since I met her. She listens to all my ideas and hypes me up for them too. Definitely found my go to person for all tattoos. I've gotten 5 tattoos from this shop so far and have not been disappointed at all. I also got my n!ppies pierced here too, and have healed great.

I was getting my hair done at Dearinger's (next door) and stopped in before my appointment to inquire about a new tattoo. Courtney was very nice and quickly drew me a sketch of the picture I gave her. Later, as the foils in my hair were processing, Courtney was able to act quickly and fit in my small tattoo application. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I love my new tattoo! The artwork/needlework was perfect and exactly what I wanted. Thank you!!

The room's energy was very welcoming when I first walked in, and everyone made me feel very comfortable. I was helped by a guy named Michael, and we went over some of the piercings I was thinking about getting while he also recommended some he'd think look good. I got my nose and four different ear piercings, which all turned out great! The placements were perfect, and I was thrilled with the quality of the jewelry they gave me! Overall my experience was excellent and I look forward to getting more work done here soon!

I was looking for my first tattoo awhile back so I came to this place and they didn't fail me. since then I've been back for multiple different tattoos and I recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is looking to get some ink done. they were super respectful and super understanding to my needs and wants and theres no other place I'd rather go. I gave it 5 stars but really it deserves 10. Dee was genuinely nice and sweet and it's rare cause you don't find people like this anymore. so I recommend this place to anyone looking for some type of ink.

I love my tattoo, but I feel like I was completely ripped off. I have just an outline that's about 3x3 maybe 4x4. I just did a walk in and saw the shop minimum was $120 so I didn't think my tattoo would be that much. Yes maybe I should've asked, but I feel like as an artist you should also say how much it'll be before you start. The artist was cool and we were just talking and I totally forgot to ask. Turned out to be $400. I didn't say anything in the moment I'm just not a confrontational person, and so i messaged the business a couple days later , and I guess the owner? Mentioned that I need to reach out to my artist, and since I signed a waiver that it's basically my responsibility to say something in the shop. Okay fair enough. They also replied really fast. I've tried reaching out to the artist, but he hasn't acknowledged my message and I don't want to just go in and start anything. I've just accepted my loss.

I loved MOST of my experience. I went in with a crowd of 12 and we all wanted tattoos and piercings. Seeing as to the shop minimum was $100 we were chilling. Loved it up until one of the tattoo artist with a face tatt yelled and I mean YELLED at us for being to loud. He was tattooing 1 person for less that what we were spending in the short 30 minutes we were there. If he wanted to have a quiet session he should have scheduled a better time for his client or tattooed from his personal home. You legit work in a shop I don't understand how you want people to be quiet.

I would give a million stars if I could. This shop is incredible and I am so thankful I found Di! I lost my 18 year old dog a couple of days ago and have had Nothing Sacred saved in my guides for months for my next tattoo. I messaged Di the day my dog passed and she told me to pick the time that works best for my tattoo and got me in next day. She is the kindest person and has a heart of gold. Even with getting me in next day, she told me to save the money I would spend on the tattoo and to get something nice for myself instead. I appreciated the offer alone sooo much and told her I will still be paying but she insisted that I don't pay and said she is honored to get to tattoo something so special on my skin. I have never met someone with such kindness and generosity. She is heaven sent. Also, her work is INCREDIBLE. Her line work is amazing and her creative eye and attention to detail shows so much in her art. Im so thankful to have met her and I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to have her do the most important tattoo that I have. Di is so honest and caring and understands the importance of a tattoo and the significance of it being on your skin forever. She is truly a one in a million person, and tattoo artist. As the name states, nothing is sacred, least of all customer service. Out of town for a special weekend I planned on getting a piercing for my daughter. Walked in (open sign on) stared at by 2 employees. After studdering with no answer to my question they told me they were not open yet. I told them the door is unlocked and your sign says open, no business hours were listed. We had lunch and returned. After telling the gentleman I wanted a piercing for my daughter, filling out their horrible out dated form and giving him my ID, he has to call the owner to find out if the can do it because she is not 18. The owner turned us down stating it is California law which is untrue. Minor with consent can have a nose piercing. Poor customer service, lack of interpersonal skill, barely understanding English. I'm sure the business response to this will be how can I review without a service. I feel the need to let people know it felt uncomfortable from the start. After the experience, I am glad we did not proceed with a service. Thank you for turning us away.

Okay so let me start with us calling this place along time before closing and they said they do walk ins until closing. We show up before closing and the blonde thin girl who semi greeted us at the door was very unfriendly, unwelcoming, rude, then she went inside and a short hair girl came out hostile came at my friend trying to fight her because she was calling other tattoo places after the blonde chick never said yes or no on tattooing us. After I got on her about how hostile and unprofessional she was she closed the door in our face. We tried calling to get the owners number and they kept refusing it.

Honestly, after a horrible experience with my last tattoo artist, I was skeptical about trusting another artist. Leo, changed my mind & definitely made me crave getting tatted. Leo is THE best artist here. Open to working with his clients on pieces that reflect what THEY want and is extremely accommodating to their comfort, vision, and convenience. I've gotten 3 pieces from him & I can tell you that I *LOVE* every single one of them. My Haku forearm piece is my absolute favorite and his work on it reflects his profession. He also did a cover up for me after my hideous mess up of a tattoo (my first tat from him) and I ended up going back twice! The prices are affordable and he always willing to work with you regarding pricing to make sure it's something within your price range but levels out for the piece you want. I went in the last view times, anxious & nervous, but Leo is approachable & friendly so conversating is never dull or boring. *Just tell him/them what you want. Don't BS... Do not hesitate, time is valuable here since it does get busy. The atmosphere is welcoming & the other artist are friendly! Don't confuse their stern focus for being rude/unfriendly, every artist remains focused especially when working on a permanent piece on someone's body Overall, this is by far the best tattoo shop in Daygo!

I got a beautiful cover up by DI and it came out absolutely amazing. Her artwork is spectacular and she was clean, friendly and on time. The Shop Is super nice and clean, Everyone there was nice. Definitely going back again for more ink.

I absolutely LOVED my experience coming here! Dee & Leo are literally the coolest tattoo artists I've met & both are super talented & meticulous about their work. I've seen them try & accommodate as many people as possible with just the two of them working in the shop (so please be patient, they'll get you in soon enough). Overall, I've never been more comfortable than I have here! I haven't had an artist that I've wanted to come back to until now. Dee is my new go-to gal now, I literally trust her to tattoo my entire body. I came for two pieces & she killed both of them! She has a very light, steady hand & is extremely trained in fine-line tattooing, which is difficult for me to find these days. Please, if you ever have a chance, give either of them a try - you won't regret it!

The worst tattoo shop ever they don't know how to take care of customers or clients especially their needs and wants in a tattoo you figured they've been closed for quite some time due to coronavirus and they should be happy to actually get a walk in who's willing to come get tatted up but I guess sitting down on their chair playing with their phones is more important than customers wants or need don't recommend this shop!! THERE'S PLENTY OF TATTOO SHOPS IN SAN DIEGO AND THIS ONE IS NOT ONE OF THEM TO GO TO!

Me and my buddy came in last minute for a flash tattoo, showed them a picture I pulled up and Di did an amazing job. Great conservator I forgot I was even getting a tattoo. Couldn't be happier! 10/10 would come back!

I was visiting SD from out of town and my daith piercing was inflamed and infected after I had the ring changed at another studio several days earlier. I was in so much pain by the time I decided to walk in to this studio asking for their opinion. Honey is a lifesaver! She offered to change the ring since my ear was clearly rejecting the new one but continued to advise me to have a doctor look at it as well. She was extremely careful and patient through my flinching in removing and replacing the ring. She provided a lot of insight as to why my piercing had reacted that way and some cleaning techniques. One week later, my piercing feels 100% fine! I felt so much trust with her knowledge and skillset and absolutely recommend anyone getting or changing a piercing to go to her!

I have a lot of piercing and tattoos and I have never been told that I couldn't get help. I'm in San Diego on vacation and my nose piercing came out. I went to get it put back in and before the guy knew what I wanted he immediately said he couldn't help us. It's crazy to shoot business down especially to someone who apparently has lots of piercings, I was planning on spending quite a bit of money tonight so they for sure missed out on at least 400 dollars. So next time take time to ask before you deny service

I did not get a tattoo or a piercing but hear me out... I had a triple piercing done elsewhere and the barbells were so short that it gave the piercing no room to swell and it was looking pretty bad. I gladly waited while he finished up a tattoo with someone else, which looked amazing btw, and despite him having worked on that tattoo for however long and his food already being delivered, he took the time to listen to me, advise me what to do, then change out two VERY painful pieces. The shop was super clean, & employees were very professional and nice. I would definitely go back to get a tattoo done by him after seeing his work too.

Just got a beautiful matching lotus flower at this tattoo spot with my best friend. The area is very clean and clutter free which is important to me when I choose a tattoo shop. I was given all the info needed for aftercare. The owner of this place has his act together. I'd definitely return for my next tattoo!

This is my go to shop in all of San Diego! I get all of my tattoos done by Dee, and I cannot emphasize enough how I have been satisfied every single time. Her skill is unmatched, considering that I have gone to multiple artists before her. I recommend this shop, specifically Dee for your next tat, 100/10 love her skill & the vibe of her shop.

The tattoo came out good don't get me wrong, but I got completely ripped off. I decided to get a last minute tattoo done so I looked on yelp and saw this place. Called in and one of the guys said for me to come in so they could get an idea of what I wanted. Cool. I came in and showed the other guy that wasn't Todd and he said for me to come back in 2 hours to get tattooed by Todd and that I had to put $100 deposit down and that they charged by the hour but that my tattoo would cost $140 to $200 which I thought it should be $140 or so because it was a super simple small to medium tattoo. I come back two hours later to find out Todd couldn't do it anymore because he had to tattoo another person in an hour so the other guy I spoke to was going to tattoo me. I thought okay then... Then they were talking and stuff with people which I was being very patient about while waiting for him to design my tattoo. After an hour he started tattooing me and took about an hour. I thought since I had been waiting for awhile that they would charge me even less but no.. They charged me an extra $100 on top of the deposit so $200 for a small to medium tattoo... They were cool don't get me wrong but they completely ripped me off. They are good tattoo artist but next time I want something simple like this and I'm in San Diego, I'll go somewhere else.
