Notten’s was an experience that we will always treasure! My family of 6 (children ages 11, 12, 15, 18) absolutely loved our three nights there. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and well stocked. The food was outstanding, served in the cozy common area. Two members of our group are gluten free and the cooks were incredibly accommodating, always making food that was very similar to what the others were eating so we didn’t feel left out at all. The game drives were the highlight! Our guides, Wonder and Tinyiko (Mr. T) were amazing at tracking the animals and getting us as close as possible. They were true professionals and extremely knowledgeable about the terrain and wildlife. We saw the big 5 and many other beautiful creatures. The watering hole at the lodge was very entertaining between drives as animals would come to drink. One day, an entire heard of elephants came and another day we were entertained by the zebras that came by. Our family arranged to visit the local Shangan village on our last day and we thoroughly enjoyed that trip. Our guides Lucky and Wonder taught us many things and we were even able to hear an incredible choir. That was an unforgettable experience that we are very glad we did. This is a family owned lodge and it has a friendly family atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Sabi area!

We vacationed at Notten's Bush Camp with our two teenage daughters in July 2025 and had an incredible experience. Everything about Notten's was amazing. We live in the US so it wasn't a short flight to get to South Africa and our entire family wants to go back next year it was so much fun. Here are some reasons:||1. The People - The staff at Notten's are amazing. They are so helpful and friendly and are always available to ask if you need anything, provide a drink or to answer any questions. The guides and trackers are very knowledgeable about the bush having lived there most of their lives and were great at finding and describing the animals and their ecosystems.||2. The Camp - Notten's is a small bush camp, so the experience is very bespoke and intimate. It felt like we were staying with family members or friends (see #1 above about the friendly staff). The cabins/rooms are large and well appointed. The bathroom, shower and bath tubs are fantastic. All the snacks and mini-bar are included and well stocked. The pool, spa and gym were perfect for a small camp in the middle of the bush. The dining area and bar were perfectly designed for the bush camp experience.||3. The Food - I cannot say enough about the quantity and quality of the food. Breakfast was delicious and the egg dishes were some of the best I've ever tasted. Lunch and dinner were equally amazing with great cheeses, breads, appetizers, main courses and desserts. The staff is very accommodating of food allergies as I am gluten free and my daughter tries to avoid meat. There were fresh gluten free breads and desserts every day that were incredibly delicious. The wine room and bar are well stocked and the staff is happy to make any drink you request.||4. The Safari experience - The daily safari rides were amazing and we saw so many animals. Coffee and evening drinks in the bush were special. Even the bush bathroom was entertaining.||Overall we had an amazing experience and cannot say enough positive things about Notten's and its amazing staff!

Overall a great experience. The lodge is very comfortable, the location excellent, food amazing, well stocked bar, but what made it five stars are the staff. From the welcome team to the guides, the kitchen staff and the servers, all were so friendly and fun to be around - they made it. Yes a safari is about seeing animals but if the staff and in particular your guides are not great then it can become hard work.||Nottens staff are the best, our guide Thulani and our Spotter Addy were not only really really good at their job they were also really fun to be around. Super knowledgeable, great at explaining stuff and very good at picking perfect spots for sundowners. Also told a good joke or two!!||The management of Dale and Josie checked on us without imposing. The kitchen staff were great and we managed to sing happy birthday to Thulani’s wife which was fun. ||Also a big thanks to Anralie and Gifty who served our food on a daily basis with the biggest smiles you can imagine. If you are lucky enough to meet Gifty ask her to give you her happy dance and you will be smiling for a week. A wonderful person!! ||Thanks to all

My husband and I stayed at Notten’s Bush Camp for 2 nights and it wasn’t long enough! Luxury in the middle of the bush. The rooms were beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable and the amenities were the best from any place we’ve ever stayed. The location is ideal…watching animals from really any location you’re at on the property was so special. The food was delicious and drinks were great. Every person there made sure our stay was the best it could be, from the game drives, village tour (make sure you look into doing this!!) and the special evening cocktail hours. Wow. An experience you will remember forever. Thank you Notten’s Bush Camp! We hope to return! A special thank you to Pearl and her dad for making our stay extra special!

Nottens is incredible. The staff, food and facilities are outstanding and we had an amazing 3 night stay. We were travelling with an 8 & 6 year old and the team at Nottens made lots of accommodations in terms of food, food timings and activities to make them feel included.|The pool area is lovely and the perfect place to unwind between game drives. As everything is included you could also have a drink and snacks by the pool.|The game drives were amazing, we saw the big 5 multiple times and the guides knowledge was incredible. The let the children sit up front and patiently answered all of their questions. They even took us out on a mini drive to see a bone graveyard.|An extra bonus was that they do a load of washing per stay which was very helpful.| I could not recommend Nottens more and we can't wait to go back.

We spent 2 nights at Nottens and it is an amazing place to stay. The rooms was large with several goodies and the food spread was amazing. We enjoyed the pool.||The staff were great and dinner setting was perfect. The lodge is set in Sabi Sands and we could view animals from the dining area as they come to drink water or just pass by. We also spotted Kudu and Rhinos ( as we were completing the evening safari) near to the lodge. ||Game drives were good and we were able to spot the big 5 and several birds. Nottens team also organized a sundowner with all the vehicles/tourists along with the tracker (Jo) imitating the sounds of the animals. This was a thrilling experience post sun setting. ||Lovely lodge with all amenities and a great staff and ranger/tracker.

We stayed in Notten's Bush Camp for 4 nights in January. The lodge is beautiful , rooms spacious with lovely big decks that include an outdoor shower and where we saw elephants , impala and other animals grazing. A monkey also visited us and stole my peanuts! The food was fantastic, the ambience incredible...we loved the candlelit dinners in the evening! Also Happy Hour in the bush is unforgettable. The staff were friendly and helpful in every way. Our guide and tracker were very knowledgeable and we saw the Big 5 by our second day. My best holiday and would love to return !.
