NOUN Hotel, Norman, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel

I’ve dined at the restaurant inside the NOUN Hotel — Rally Kitchen + Bar — three times. Two of those visits were truly exceptional. On those occasions, I ordered the chef’s salad and a pasta dish, and both were absolutely lovely. The hotel and restaurant are beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and easy — a great spot right on OU’s campus. Boomer Sooner! Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing. My steak came out cold the first time. We sent it back, and when it returned, it seemed as though it had simply been reheated. It was tough, rubbery, and had an odd taste. Something just wasn’t right about it. If it was microwaved and sent back out, that should not have happened. That said, I’m not going to let one bad experience outweigh two wonderful ones. I truly enjoy the environment and the people, and I will be back again. I just felt it was important to share honest feedback about this particular visit.

Our wedding at The Noun exceeded every expectation and delivered an unforgettable, impeccably executed event. The events team approached every aspect of the day with remarkable professionalism and genuine care. They consistently went above and beyond their responsibilities- anticipating needs before we voiced them, resolving unexpected challenges with grace and speed, and ensuring that every moment unfolded seamlessly. Their ability to manage logistics with such calm confidence allowed us to be fully present and truly enjoy our celebration. The culinary team at the Noun also deserves special recognition. The food was exceptional in both presentation and flavor. We received countless compliments from our guests. The Chef's personal check in with us was an unexpected and appreciated touch that exemplified the Noun's commitment to elevated hospitality. Throughout the planning process and on the wedding day itself, the staff displayed warmth, attentiveness, and a level of dedication that truly set The Noun apart from any other venue in Norman. Their efforts made not only us but our guests feel welcomed and valued as they created an atmosphere that was both elegant and welcoming. We wholeheartedly recommend the Noun to anyone seeking a meticulously organized and beautifully executed event, especially a wedding. The NOUN Hotel in Norman is an outstanding property that delivers exactly what you’d hope for in a Tribute Portfolio experience — stylish, spotless, and genuinely well-run. From check-in to check-out, everything about our stay was smooth and thoughtfully handled. The decor is sleek and modern but still comfortable, perfectly matching the hotel’s boutique, on-brand aesthetic. Our room was exceptionally clean and quiet, and when I mentioned concern about being too close to the second-floor sports bar, the staff immediately upgraded us to the top floor without hesitation. That kind of service alone deserves praise. When the in-room coffee machine failed, they didn’t just apologize — they personally brought up two complimentary cups of coffee, which is exactly the kind of attentive hospitality that sets this hotel apart. Every interaction with the front desk was warm, professional, and accommodating. They truly went “above and beyond” to make our stay enjoyable. The location couldn’t be better — walkable to campus and close to downtown Norman’s best dining and nightlife. Parking is $10 per night, which is a bargain for a Marriott property, though valet isn’t available. The price point for the room is on the higher side but entirely fair for the level of comfort, service, and style provided. Overall, the NOUN Hotel delivers a top-tier boutique experience with genuine hospitality and modern charm. It’s ideal for couples, alumni, or anyone visiting the University of Oklahoma area who values comfort and quality over crowd and chaos. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Stayed here two nights for an event at OU. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful - wish I caught their names but they were more than pleasant, rooms were very clean (yay no carpet!) and gym was solid - they even had water bottles set up on each piece of equipment. Saw a few staff on floor around rooms and they were nice too. Bar on 2nd floor was nice as well. Really the only gripe I can think of is breakfast doesn't start until 7am, which is late on a weekday and that staff were short handed. You could tell they were working their tails off trying to get everyone's order taken, brought out and keep coffee filled but at one point at about 7:45am I counted 18 patrons and there was one primary waitress and another support staff member plus the cooks. So breakfast took a while to get but fortunately, I had ample time. The one lady who helped me was overly apologetic, I felt bad for them honestly. Oddly enough there aren't many breakfast choices nearby, I ended up going to yellow dog coffee co about a mile away-worth the drive! Overall great place, hopefully I will be back in the area and get to stay again.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and it WAS AMAZING!!!! Would definitely give 10 stars for service if I could! Lauren, Richard, Tony, Justin, Cam, Sofia and Dory all made it so FANTASTIC! The customer service was impeccable and they made us feel like royalty! Rooms are very clean and comfortable too! Will definitely come back! Only place in Norman i would stay in!

We stayed at the hotel for an OU event. It was located a short walk to campus and near to main street for food and shops. It is a beautiful, modern hotel providing everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful from the main reception to Food and Beverage Manager , Drew who, on discovering we wanted to try pumpkin pie, sourced it from the City. Incredibly attentive staff. Thank you. We look forward to visiting again.

I was greeted at the reception desk by two very helpful, efficient and polite employees. I was pleased to learn that parking was only $10 (this fee might be more for an OU game day) and was pleased to receive two complimentary vouchers, each for a free glass of wine/beer. The hotel has lots of neat OU decor and is very clean and modern. I was assigned room 201, and when I exited the elevator on the second floor and saw the second-floor bar with lots of people, I thought I would be hearing bar noise in my room. However, the hotel has a locked door to separate the rooms from the common areas, and so I swiped my room key to get past that door, which kept out the noise. The ice machine was outside that door, too, so the rooms were protected from the noise of guests filling ice buckets. We had a great breakfast in the hotel restaurant. This place is definitely worth a return visit.

Went for Breakfast with girlfriends. We were the only people in the restaurant. Took a long time just to get drip coffee, then took a good bit to get our food, it was cold, eggs were not cooked correctly, scrambled eggs werent real eggs, overall food was bad, service was poor. Will not be going back.

Big fan of this hotel! It's very nice and classy inside! Service is great! I was able to check in at 11am got 2 bottles of water upon check in. The front desk printed something for me with a smile. Rooms are super nice and comfy too. I absolutely LOVE the robes! So soft and cute, you never see red robes in a hotel! It's super close to the university and there's some food places nearby. I did order lunch from the restaurant for pick up and they brought it to my room in kind. Very nice! The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever stayed in. Pillows and thick comfy blanket were amazing!! The gym is one of the better hotels gyms with weight equipment and machines and fairly good size clean with towels cold waters and snacks! Definitely would stay here again when I'm this area

Beautiful unique place. Interesting decor with sleek clean design. ( I appreciated the bath vanity was not elevated and that the sink was not recessed away from the front- seems to be a recent trend at some places) Large walk in shower was excellent. Early morning coffee would have been appreciated (you have to wait until 7 and purchase at restaurant) but there was a small in room machine. Definitely would return and look forward to.

This review for the restaurant inside the hotel as well as the hotel lobby. I came here for a health care related meeting and we got to go to a private room at the back of the restaurant. The lobby to the hotel was beautifully decorated. It was clean and inviting. The restaurant is to the right of the check in desk and was easy to find. The staff was very friendly the whole time we were there. I ordered the filet mignon and it came with mashed potatoes, carrots and asparagus. The medium steak was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were still a little chunky but flavorful. I'd say the carrots were a little too raw and needed to be cooked a little more for my liking, but otherwise the dish was great! We got to pick a dessert and I got the dark chocolate creme brûlée. It was supposed to have berries on top, but I noticed other people had the berries on top and mine did not, so that was a little disappointing. It was getting late, so I didn't want to bother requesting them to fix it.

The rooms were fashionably decorated with a western style that was above and beyond basic Marriott! Very personalized decor, service, & location! It was a treat to walk to campus and the local business. Our baseball team enjoyed the scooters and bike rentals! They also like the Shirley Temples served at the Rally Kitchen & bar area!

I'm not a big fan of Marriott's hipster "boutique" style hotels. This one has a nice lobby, restaurant, and bar, but the rooms are not much better than a dorm room. No carpet on the floors, 12 foot ceilings, 1 hanging overhead light, a floor lamp, and 1 unmoveable LED puck light between the beds that wasn't even adequate for reading. I guess it's good that it's in Norman, because with all the hard surfaces in the room it's very "boomy." It's like staying in a garage. The "blackout curtains" are really 2 pairs of blinds without drapes, so light leaks in all around them. So much for the blackout. It just wasn't a very comfortable room. I did like the giant shower but I found no door on the shower stall kind of odd. Also greatly dislike the bulk soap dispensers. It is an easy walk to campus though. A nice place, but I prefer more traditional hotel accommodations.

i was told my sweet treat was going to be mouth watering, heavenly , and delicious. it was not that. It was soggy and cirtrisy i did not know i ordered a orange flavored glazed donut bread pudding. dont recommend that... my main course was fire but i wish i had ice in my water. i didnt know i was in europe. However the scent throughout the hotel and restaurant was heavenly. I want to bottle it up and put it in a perfume!

Staff attention to detail is wonderful. The setting is nice, clean and feels crisp. Great location downtown. Accommodations, however, are bland. If I was to return to Norman, besides an airbnb, this is as good as it gets.

My wife and I went to Prime Rib Thursdays. Did not disappoint. Hadn't had Prime Rib in a while. This hotel is beautiful.

A lovely hotel with an exceptionally helpful and courteous staff. In town recently to attend a family wedding, several of us stayed at the newly-opened Noun Hotel. Very conveniently located right near the OU campus. Rooms are large and very comfortable. As stated, staff goes above and beyond to assist you with anything you could possibly need. Booking was a bit of a challenge online, so I called the front desk and made reservations over the phone. Had a few questions prior to arrival, so I emailed them. That went unanswered, so I again called the front desk and received quick and accurate responses then. I'm sure these are just glitches that are being worked out since this facility only opened a few months ago. Restaurant on the ground floor is beautiful. While we did not eat a full meal there, we did sit at the bar one afternoon and ordered a few "sides" on their menu: crispy Brussels sprouts and french fries. Huge portions for the $5 each cost - and both were delicious! Just what we needed to take the edge off of our hunger until we went out to that evening's dinner. All rooms have comfortable beds, desk and bench for luggage. An iron and small ironing board is in every room, along with a Kuerig coffee maker and refrigerator. Bottled water is free of charge at the front desk. The downstairs restaurant bar has refills for coffee pods and creamers. Hair dryers are in every bathroom. Closet is large with lots of storage space and ample wooden suit hangers. An abundance of towels is available. Parking is complimentary valet. There is also a large adjacent lot that is valet for students/faculty, but there was no attendant there when we arrived. The Noun Hotel valet told us that often their guests will park in that lot. The lot was mostly empty for all of the days we were there, and we never did see an attendant for that lot. A few items of note (which is the reason for the deduction of a star): *lighting in rooms is marginal, at best; *only USB outlet is located behind the coffee maker, which is difficult to access, so be sure to bring the electrical brick portion of your phone/tablet along with your USB cord; *toilet paper is fine, thin sandpaper. Noun Hotel should spend a few bucks and buy some facial-quality tp, because what was available was excruciating to use; *it would have been wonderful if a light breakfast option was available. There are not a whole lot of options within walking distance for breakfast, so you end up driving to a fast-food restaurant to get a greasy, salty start to your day or you bring breakfast items with you (as I did). For a hotel that offers superb food for lunch and dinner, breakfast for the guests staying there seems like a natural. Many within our party would have gladly paid for a light breakfast here rather than bringing in food to eat in our room or going out. If I'm ever in town again, surely this hotel will be my choice of accommodations. Hopefully all of the new-opening kinks will have been worked out by then, but if they're not, at least I know what to expect.

Brand new hotel on campus corner. Great common spaces like the lobby, library, restaurant, and bar but the rooms are sparse and cold. Rooms are all hard surfaces and don't feel welcoming or luxurious. No gym, snack bar, or pool. Very walkable to campus. Often expensive on big weekends like game days or parents weekend.

Second time staying and first time it was paid out of pocket and I told myself I wouldn't give them .25 today my son had an official visit. No TV service at all, pillows are so uncomfortable. Get an air bnb and save yourself the hassle. This is a small town and unfortunately people use this place. But I could rate an easy -0 I would. RUNNNN

Very impressed with decor. Really a beautiful place and glad we have it in Norman. I gave it a 3 because the food was simply average and overpriced. Service, well, lacking to be kind. We ordered tea service and when I requested more hot water for tea the young girl brought me a stemmed glass of plain hot water. No spoon. No honey until we ask. Overall disappointed for sure. We will return to see if brunch is any better.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location and the bathrobes. The decor is cheap, couldn't get a signal on the tv or the QR code to order room service. Most aggravating was being declined a late check out request, given it was clear that on this holiday, they were no where near capacity. I would've even paid extra. Not worth the price.

The hotel property is lovely and the location is great however, the online customer service if you need to change or modify your reservation (even if before the last date to modify) is awful! They use an outside reservation service which is horribly rude. Be careful of your booking dates- you will not receive any refunds even if it's before the cancellation date.

Man I absolutely love this place. Here's the thing... the bartender, Seth, is absolutely terrible. He has a terrible work ethic, puts in ZERO effort to make drinks, and will make excuses for why he cannot make drinks correctly. As a bartender, its extremely disappointing to go to such a great place and have to deal with such an inconvenience. THANKFULLY the bartender downstairs, Ameliana, is FANTASTIC!!! We love her to death, she had such a great attitude and helped us out with a great smile on her face. You can tell she cares, and in a place like Norman, that sets many restaurants and bars apart from each other. Along with the hosts/servers downstairs, they single handedly changed this review from a 0 to where it is! We are especially grateful for Ameliana and her services to help save our night!

Emiliana was the bartender working when I came and she was an absolute pleasure to talk to and she made delicious drinks. I will be going back in hopes I can talk to her again. Also the staff was nice enough to put on the channel I was wanting to watch.

First time staying at the NOUN. Been coming to Norman for the past 3 1/2 years while my baby has gone to OU. You have to remember this is Norman! Don't expect a 5 star hotel like you may go to in a big city. We have stayed at about 3 other hotels in the Norman/Moore area. Being from a large city, we found this to be an exceptional hotel for Norman. Comfortable beds and pet friendly. We were here on a weekend with no football game so very quiet. Lack of carpet, etc. makes it easier to keep clean and the clean smell was lovely! Prices vary HUGELY depending if you come on weekend event is going on versus not. Prices for our weekend very reasonable. Loved being able to walk out the door and explore the campus or local restaurants/bars on Campus Corner. I have already reserved a couple rooms for when we come back in December. Again, keep your expectations appropriate for location and you will find this to be an exceptional hotel. I might not be saying the same if I had paid 3 times as much which is what they charge for weekend with say football game going on. Got the AAA rate also!

only reviewing a short trip to the bar. Beer and wine were as youd guess for a hotel. Fundido was, OMG, literally liquid. horrible. Waiter offered graciously to get us extra bread, because "they always bring too few", but then he upcharged us, lol. ignored complaint about the liquid fundido. anyway, may go again but Blackbird is just across the street.

A hotel trying to act like they have their act together but they have a long way to go. As a Marriott Ambassador member for many years I am surprised Marriott let this hotel into the fold. Could not project the Thursday Night NFL game. On a Thursday Night could not change the giant screen TV from MTV (are you kidding me) to a College football game where a Top 10 team was competing, and losing...it's a College town...seriously? The answer was a manager was not here this evening and a manager is the only one that can change the channel. No Gym. No Lounge. This is not a serious property, rather a place that is trying to be trendy in a college town. What a joke!!

If you are looking for a hotel in Norman, OK there is no other hotel that compares. The location and service is the BEST!

Cool design but bad experience. When we arrived, for instance, we were informed the TVs in the hotel wouldn't be fixed for three days--we weren't given any discount, upgrade, etc., for this. When we went to our room there were signs for some rooms (ie, rooms 120-130 this way) but not others, so the layout was confusing. There are no vending machines in the hotel nor other place to get snacks. Wouldn't recommend.

Went to the upstairs bar for a drink, took awhile to get waited on, only 4 of us in the entire lounge area by the big screen tv, and only 4 people sitting at the bar on a Friday night at 7:30 pm. I had to walk up to the bar to get our check, then we did not receive a detail of our charges just a total. My credit card was split into 3 different charges for one tab.
