Nova Skyland Hotel

Wow. What an amazing experience. Our two story room was beautifully fitted out with amazing picture windows looking over the snow covered trees. Our room, no more like an apartment, had a large lounge area downstairs with refrigerator and fully stocked minibar, seats and day bed, plus a fully equipped bathroom with shower. There is plenty of hanging space for those big winter coats, plus a boot rack and seat to remove your winter boots just as you enter.|Upstairs is a double bedroom with adjacent bathroom and your own personal 4 person sauna.|The bedroom has large picture windows with electric blinds which you can open at night to lie in bed and watch the Aurora Borealis if they are out.|Absolutely superb location right beside the Santa Claus just a short walk away.|Meals in the adjacent restaurant were to a high standard and a great variety from which to choose.|I could not rate this accommodation any higher.

We had a wonderful stay at Nova Skyland! The place was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. The room was spacious and even had a bidet, which I really appreciated. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it for the comfort and quality. We were very happy to have booked this hotel. If I had to point out one small downside, it’s that the room downstairs didn’t have a heater.

We have recently returned from a two-night stay here, and we are so glad we did. Having booked just a few days before we went, it turned out to be the perfect place to stay, only 5 minutes from the airport. This peaceful location is next to the Santa Claus Village and a few minutes walk to everything. The staff are so friendly and helpful from the reception to the restaurant. We stayed in a Nordic cottage which was amazing, a great size with everything you need, including a sauna, kitchen, a log burner, and amazing views looking over the resident reindeer Heidi and Gingerbread. 10/10.

It was our first time in Finland to see the northern lights and this Amazing cabin stay was the experience that elevated our stay, loved everything. The fireplace and the private sauna was an amazing treat for us. The view on the Finnish forest was soothing and the air was super fresh. The service in the restaurant of the hotel was impeccably good and the food was delicious, we had lobster ravioli and the mushroom ravioli they where sublime. The gentleman at the bar was such a good vibe soul with a sincere smile. We loved everything, our cabin was spacious and clean with everything you can think of. No words for this amazing experience. Cannot wait to visit again.

Had a wonderful experience in Nova Skyland Hotel! Highly recommended at least stay for three nights because it’s not enough for two nights if you need more activities. Really enjoyed staying here, friendly staff, comfortable places and easy to get Santa Claus village. Last but not least, hotel provides a sled in each room, my son loves playing sled. We had a great time here.:D

Worst hotel experience of my life. Absolutely unacceptable. The moment we entered the room, it was clearly not clean. There was thick hair stuck to the bathroom wall. This alone proves the room was never properly cleaned. We were also told that the luggage staff would come to take our bags from our car within 5 minutes. He never came. We went back to reception to complain about both the luggage and the dirty room. The receptionist a woman who claimed she was the manager said the staff member came and knocked on our door twice and that we didn’t answer, which is completely false. We were in the room the entire time. When we questioned her, her response was literally: “Not my problem.” Excuse me? How is this acceptable in hospitality? When I asked to speak to the manager, she said she was the manager, and then mockingly said, “I’m sorry you feel the room is not clean,” clearly implying that I was lying. Once I showed her the photo, her attitude immediately changed and she suddenly decided to “help” by sending housekeeping to clean the room and take the luggage. And here comes the real joke. Housekeeping arrived with only a vacuum cleaner. No cleaning products. No cleaning towels. Nothing. For the first time in my life, I watched someone vacuum a wall. When we pointed out the hair stuck to the wall, he simply lifted the vacuum and sucked it off. That was their idea of “cleaning.” This is beyond ridiculous. Worst experience, worst management, and worst attitude I’ve ever encountered. If this woman is truly the manager, then this hotel has a serious problem. Her behavior alone completely ruined my Lapland experience and made me want to leave immediately. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Truly Magical Stay at Nova Skyland Hotel! ✨ My stay at Nova Skyland Hotel was absolutely incredible from start to finish! The entire experience felt magical, and the only thing I regret is not staying for an entire month — I genuinely didn’t want to leave! 😭❄️ 🌟 Amazing Staff The staff were outstanding — warm, kind, personable, and genuinely invested in making my stay perfect. They made me feel completely at home, which is something you don’t find everywhere. 🛌 Beautiful, Immaculate Rooms My room was spotless ✨, cozy, and beautifully designed. Everything felt fresh, clean, and comfortable — exactly what you hope for when traveling. 🎅 Perfect Location Near Santa Claus Village The hotel is super close to Santa Claus Village — and even closer to Santa himself! 🎄🎅 It’s the ideal spot if you want the full magical Arctic experience. 🍽️ Delicious Food The food was fantastic! Every meal was flavorful and beautifully prepared. A wonderful bonus to an already amazing stay. 🌌 Northern Lights Magic While the hotel can’t control the sky, I was incredibly lucky to see the Northern Lights two nights in a row. 💚💜✨ Experiencing that while staying in such a warm and welcoming place made the trip unforgettable. Everything about Nova Skyland Hotel felt special — the atmosphere, the people, the comfort, the location. Leaving was truly the hardest part. If you’re thinking about staying here: Go. Book it. Enjoy every second. You won’t regret it! 💫

The hotel stay was warm and comfortable. It is also very clean and has a double-floor concept. We did not manage to see auroras because of the weather but we felt that the surrounding lights might also affect the visibility of the aurora. Otherwise, it's a very convenient walk to the Santa Claus village.
