A lovely find in Powell. The restaurant space is warm and inviting and the service is very good. They have an excellent bar if you would rather eat there than that reserve a table. The food is extremely good. The beet salad is excellent and it actually contains a lot of beets which believe it or not many restaurant beet salads do not. They make their pasta in house, I had the cavatappi with pot pomodoro sauce and it was extremely good. The wine list is Italian and very affordable. My only small quibble is that in the winter time with the bar being very close to the entrance, they have to block it off with a curtain, which is a little uncomfortably close. But all in all a lovely restaurant and a wonderful experience.

Overall very solid spot. The meatballs were absolutely worth the hype, they were so incredibly soft. Also the complimentary bread and olive oil?????? to die for…We also had the eggplant Parmesan (Saturday special), rigatoni, and cacio e pepe. The eggplant Parmesan was fantastic, the rigatoni pasta was slightly undercooked but overall still yummy, and cacio e pepe was a bit mid. I guess cacio e pepe is a really simple dish but it was a bit too salty… Loved the ambience and service as well, would come again!

Service was top notch, they checked in frequently but not annoyingly despite how busy the place was on a Friday night. Food was amazing and super filling. Got the crispy pork belly and mushroom ricotta crostini for appetizers and both were delicious. Only request would've been to have had the mushrooms warmed up so the temp would've been consistent throughout the crostini. Pasta was perfect. And because our eyes were bigger than our stomach, we also got fried brussels on the side. I thought these were a bit more on the burnt side but the pomegranate was a lovely touch. Looking forward to coming back as their menu changes every season and it just so sounds delicious. Also cocktails were very tasty but also very strong.

Had a wonderful time here with friends. The food was unreal— you can tell everything is fresh and made in house! Our server Andrew S was amazing! Such a warm personality, super kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu!

We had the: Lamb Bolognese with Grana Padano. And the Short Rib Ragu Rigatoni Staff was kind, respectful, willing to chit chat a little since they were not super busy (reservations for Sat at 6pm). We received our food very quickly and both dishes were absolutely amazing, if you've never been to this restaurant, Ita worth going too. I bet you'll be back for a second time as well, I know we will!

Nice place. Pretty good dishes and drinks. The tiramisu was good, unique salads which also stood out.

The food here is good, and the service is phenomenal. I can't wait to come back. Their complimentary bread knocked me off my toes off the rip, it's dense and buttery with a little salt on top. The pork belly was bomb, and they put small pieces of apple in their polenta which was a real treat. I expected them to go light on portion sizing due to the nature of this restaurant, but every dish was a very hearty portion. My entree, the lasagna, came with two hearty pieces. I cannot remember the name of our waitress but she did a great job! Sorry I forgot your name.

We went there with my husband and his parents, they all loved their food. I like pork belly. The restaurant was nice but service was bad. The lady with short blonde hair, she was pretty rude to my in-laws, my husband, and ignore when I tried to order some drink by looking at me and just walked away and came back later. If I could I would say something, but I didn't want to ruin my birthday dinner like she did.

One of the worst experiences going out I've had in many many years!! We went on Saturday, August 23, we made a 6:30pm reservation at least a month in advance, and arrived right on time. There wasn't a table ready just yet, which is fine, and we were waiting. I had surgery earlier in the week and was walking with a cane, there was an uncomfortable chair to wait on. After about ten minutes, another couple walked in, a few minutes later a third couple walked in. The third party to arrive was seated literally a minute after they arrived. Shortly thereafter, the hostess went to sit the other couple, which puzzled us so we asked why two other couples, who arrived after us, were being seated before us? We were told that "our table" wasn't ready, but the table for the other two couples were ready???? WHAT!!!!! I understand having to wait because no table was available, but to sit two other couples ahead of us, even though both arrived at least 10 minutes AFTER us, really pissed me off! What kind of customer service is that? My fiancé was in tears because this was dinner for my 60th birthday, and she wanted it to be special. It was, the restaurant crapped all over us, treating us like garbage! Honestly, I could care less how good the food may or may not be, an establishment that treats people like that should go out of business!!! I do business with a lot of people in Columbus, and I will make sure to tell EVERYONE how crappy this place is! Side note: the place was damn loud, and from what we could see from people eating at the bar, this isn't authentic Italian food. We left, went to Brooklyn Pizza, and it was delicious!

We had a very nice dinner at Novella. The food was excellent. We started with the shrimp appetizer and the meatballs and both were excellent. My wife and daughter shared the Caesar salad and it was very good. I had the Fra Diovlo lobster special and it was excellent although it wasn't remotely spicy which was disappointing. My daughter had the sweet potato ravioli and it was excellent. My wife had the salmon and she really liked it but my daughter and I didn't loved it. It was very citrus forward . The service was fine but nothing more. We did not like our table as we felt like we were at the kiddie table between the bathroom and kitchen with no lighting and lots of traffic. You could tell it was an afterthought for added seating at a popular restaurant. I was also unimpressed with the wine options and I didn't love the one I ordered. We will go back for sure.

The best thing about Novella was the bread!! It was so warm, soft, and had a great top crust. I had the cappalletti alla vodka and my husband had the cacio e pepe. The cappalletti was delightful, with a flavorful sauce and tender lamb. Who doesn't love burrata on top too?! The cacio e pepe was just ok, kind of underwhelming. The inside of the restaurant was quaintly decorated but it was quite loud and difficult to talk. Service was good and friendly, but felt slightly rushed. Overall a nice experience and I would come back to try more dishes!

Had the Short Rib Ragu with Rigatoni and my wife had the Lobster Diablo special. We arrived on a Friday at 530 with no reservation and was able to sit on the patio instantly. We enjoyed our entire meal with the patio to ourselves. The music playing outside was upbeat with modern tunes and the atmosphere couldn't have been more "Powell". Absolutely love it here.

Andrew (aka Dan ) is the best! Wonderful service. We have been loyal customers from the beginning, these were our favorite two drinks and two meals. So good!! Please add the pappardelle to the permanent menu. So delicious!!!

There were four of us all visiting for the first time. The Hugo cocktail was light and summery. The spicy pasta dish with lobster was great. My lamb ravioli was just ok. The bread brought to the table with oil was too doughy.

Decided to hit Novella for Valentine's Date Night and it was amazing. Reservations worked out great and our table was ready on time. Great seats by the front window and our server arrived quickly. ChristopherB took good care of us including providing suggestions and great service. Expresso Martinis and Red wine started our night. For appetizers, highly recommend starting with Mushroom Toast -combo of Ricotta and marinated mushrooms w balsamic was a table favorite (its the top of my list next time). If something a little more traditional is your style - try the Veal/Ricotta Meatballs. Entrees we had a little of everything, but the Salmon Market Fish special (w/Brussels, Puree, and vinaigrette dressing) was incredible. Two others tried the Chicken Milanese and they end the night Clean Plate club members. Great Food and Great Friends and Great Service.

We've been to novella now multiple times and it's always as good as the very first time! We try to visit when the menu changes and order the specials (they are always worth it!). I'm always astonished by the beauty of the restaurant and its vibes are perfect for date nights or special occasion dining. We tried the Friday night special appetizer, the arancini. Super crispy and flavorful and also stuffed with cheese! My fiance ordered "The Looking Glass" cocktail and it was absolutely amazing, a must order. They also had a nice selection of non alcoholic options. I ordered the orechiette sausage and rapini, it was light and so flavorful. The sausage was a little spicy but balanced well with the lemon and broccolini. I also always recommend desert at novella, I didn't get a photo but the orange/prosecco creme brûlée was absolutely delightful. It's one of my favorite desserts I've ever ordered! So if you haven't been to novella yet, this is your sign!!

If you are looking for somewhere with fresh and amazing homemade pasta dishes this is your spot! Ambiance is low key but pretty, service was on point and our server helped make recommendations to guide us through the meal. She was also very attentive and friendly. We ordered a few mock-tails, Caesar salads, and I got the Cacio de Pepe with Rigatoni. It was absolutely outstanding! I can't remember what my husband got but it was really good. We got the pistachio blondie for dessert. Such an amazing dinner from start to finish, definitely recommend and will be back in the future.

We used Novella to cater an event at our home. We had a salad, meatballs, pasta, Chicken Parmesan, focaccia bread and cannolis for dessert. The food was ready when promised and was steaming hot when served. Everything was delicious and there was plenty for our guests. The entire experience was top notch. Novella has been recommended to me for a few months now. Despite living in the area for over a decade, I've never popped in, but tonight I decided to grab dinner and relax. It's easy to pass by - as I've done it several times in the past, but they have plenty of parking in the back (I wish more places did this - you park, you enter in the back, it's not trying to force you to walk for blocks so you can be seen walking in). The inside is cute, quaint, relaxing. I didn't go beyond the front door, however, and had a seat at the bar. First time here - I ordered the Pasta and Wine tasting, five pairings of what they have to offer. As I am no expert on pasta, I figured this would be an excellent introduction. Now, my bartender was attentive - she made sure I had my wine pour ready for each dish, and kept my water full. She also apologized for "the slowness" between each dish - it's possible in just a fast eater, but I didn't mind, as it let me clean my palate between dishes. Four wonderful pasta dishes, one dessert, with excellent wine pairings, to boot. It was enough food that I left full (but not engorged), and had wines I haven't ordered in the past! If you're a fan of pasta, wine, pairings, this makes a wonderful place to come on a date, or even to treat yourself when you need a nice, lovely pick-me-up.

Service started out slow , but the food made up for the wait. Definitely a must try for itilian food lovers in central ohio. I would definitely get reservations

Amazing food, incredible ambiance and a beautifully decorated restaurant. Service was great too, many hands on deck. Food came out quickly. Started with the meatballs and classic Caesar which were both excellent. Both main entrees were also superb- fall pumpkin ravioli and short rib ragu rigatoni.

I've heard many good things about Novella and they sure live up to the hype! We were seated right away and it wasn't too busy around 5:30PM, but I still highly recommend getting a reservation if possible! They book up! We got a Negroni drink to start - amazing (although I'm not a dark liquor gal). They start you off with some warm bread with oil. We ordered the pork cheek ravioli and linguine and clams. Our food came out pretty quick. I really can't decide which dish I liked more because they were both flavor bombs in your mouth. Some of the clams were still sandy which was off-putting. I highly recommend the pork cheek ravioli. The mushrooms add another layer of flavor since it soaks up everything. Would come back if I'm ever in the area!

The food is Devine. It's definitely worth a stop in if you are in the area and hungry. From the drink, to the bread, to the pasta everything is amazing and will make you not want to stop eating. It is pricey so be prepared but staff is friendly and attentive to details. I want to go back now!

They burned the guanciale in the carbonara and it made the dish taste awful. I don't know if they thought I wouldn't notice but it was very obvious. We had to get to a movie so I didn't bother asking for a new one but I couldn't finish it. It's too expensive for me to give them another chance. The meatball was good but I've had better pasta at Olive Garden where they don't burn the food. Our waitress barely said a word to us and wasn't friendly until it came time for her tip. Ambiance was loud and busy--not a quiet place for a romantic dinner.

I stopped by Novella for a nice dinner in Powell. The restaurant is large and welcoming, with pleasant seating and decor. We began with a Mexican Jalisco pear cocktail and some free bread - both were lovely! I transitioned to a Venetian Spritz and it was also lovely. Novella offers a full wine list too. I continued with the Novella insalata which was tasty. I enjoyed the mild dressing and fresh greens and squash. I also tried the Novella crostini - consisting of grilled bread, melted cheese and hazelnuts. It was pretty delicious, too. For my main course, I had the short rib ragu. It was just okay - the rigatoni pasta was a touch undercooked and the sauce was unremarkable. The dessert menu at Novella disappointed me. They only offered ice cream, sweet potato panna cotta, apple donuts, and pumpkin tiramisu - gotta love Ohio, I guess. I went with the chocolate ice cream and it was just fine. Service at Novella was excellent and I'd be open to trying them again.

Went in Saturday night (11/16/24) to celebrate my nieces birthday. First time there, won't be out last! Excellent food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Our waiter was amazing, kind and knowledgeable. Everything she recommended was right on the spot. I had the pork shank and it was insanely tasteful, cooked right on target. The polenta was also great. The wines list is wide and has a lot to choose from. The salads are amazing and the drinks are spot on. In a nutshell...wonderful place and will definitely come back! A+++

Best Bday celebration ever. Portions are very reasonable it's not a buffet it's a very classy mindful focused menu. So good!! Started with meatballs. Shrimp scampi. Rigatoni. Side of Brussel sprouts and fingerlings. Couple of red glasses of wine and a couple of beers. Just a delightful night out. We will be back!

The food used to be to good!! I went like 1-2 years ago and it was great. I live 40 minutes away and I drove here because I loved the food. This time I ordered the spring pea ravioli and it was not good. It tasted like split pea soup. So I talked to our server she was very sweet and I ordered the special. Lobster pasta. I don't know exactly what it's called. But I asked for a white sauce pasta and this was terrible. It was tomato sauce. But the worst part is it was WATERY tomato sauce. 0/10. Tasted like it came out of a can. Raos pasta sauce is way better. I paid a whopping $35 for this nasty pasta. And they gave me the wrong noodle. This noodle was terrible. It was supposed to be a fettuccine noodle, it was rigatoni . I don't recommend this place anymore. I would never go back. Many other places cheaper and way better. Don't waste your money here

This is my fourth time dining at novella. It has such a warm, clean, and classy modern environment. The staff is so sweet and helpful. They are well-known for their pasta dishes and they have a plethora of them. I've gotten the cacio e Pepe before, it's so creamy, peppered well and delicious. Tonight we started with a split Caesar salad, it had an amazing garlic flavor and very nice croutons. Our first main was the carbonara, which had the perfect sauce consistently, the pancetta in it was crispy yet tender. Our second main was the rigatoni. It had the best beef and the sauce was flavorful and to die for. We drank a spritz, a pear Tequila drink and a glass of wine. I recommend a craft cocktail of theirs. For dessert the lemon sorbet and lemon-cello were sweet yet so light and creamy. 5/5. Such a great vibe of a restaurant. Perfect for a date or with friends!

This is our favorite Italian restaurant. It is like going to family dinner. The staff is remarkable and you can tell they are a family. Alec the Manager is so hands on and really works hard to support his staff. Our favorite servers are Jeffrey and Rebecca! They have a great bartender who makes the greatest margaritas. Fresh squeezed juices make all the difference. Tonight we had our staples: meatball appetizer, short rib rigatoni and linguine cacio e Pepe. The meatballs are melt in your mouth and the sauce is bright and delicious. The short rib ragu is like an explosion of flavor. Cacio e Pepe is a very simple dish of just three ingredients but there is an art to making it just right. Because it was a birthday dinner we finished off the night with peach donuts with a bourbon caramel sauce. If you have not been, get on Open Table and make a reservation stat! Thank you Novella for another great experience.

This was our first outing here and it was a hit. The service was outstanding! Our server (Russel) was fantastic. Very friendly and gave excellent advice. Their drinks are very well made and the bread they serve is to die for (and you well may given the number of calories it probably contains :) -- the oil that they give with it is superfluous). For dinner I got the pork shank. It was HUUGE! I could barely get through half of it. Delicious. It came on a bed of white beans and was literally falling off the bone. My wife got the orecchiette, which was wonderful as well -- sausage with fennel on pasta! A definite must visit! They have a nice patio outside where we sat but I also noticed that they restaurant had done a great job with Covid protocols indoors (plexiglass partitions and tables kept a bit part) . Well done!

My experience at Novella was perfect. I trust the doubt of reading a perfect review, but please, hear me out...First dates are hard enough to navigate, while choosing to add tableside hospitality to boot. The unspoken awareness and patience of Emily (our server), the perfectly timed check-ins from manager Lauren, and the fabulous food, made for an unforgettable experience. I knew my timing would put me between the spring/summer and fall/winter menus, so maybe, just maybe, I'd get the last of whatever they'd upsell. If I had room, I'd eat those words. The heirloom tomato bruschetta was excellent. Piled high, and on still crisp crostini, it was a messy but wonderful way to start. Bless that mess. Our shared pasta's were the short rib rigatoni (a staple & well deserved), and the Gnocchi w/ sweet corn. The rigatoni was...well...just go and eat it. As a matter of fact. Stop reading. Just make a reservation and experience this yourselves! I'll be racing back when the new menu releases. Or I'll simply be the man with a shopping cart out back waiting on the discarded heirlooms...6 out of 5.

This place really surprised me, everything we ordered was so flavorful and delicious. The Novella Meatballs are made with veal and Ricotta and really hit the spot. The Short Rib Rigatoni was outstanding, let me just say that one thing I could have eaten three times the portion. The portions are smaller than what I would usually eat, but a great way to save room for dessert! The Pork Belly Ravioli was filled with the right amount of filling and was very tasty. Lastly was these delicious (served hot) homemade doughnuts. These are different flavors so ask your server. They also came with a honey based dipping sauce oh my, you must save room for these! The server kind of started to rush us a bit, after I told him we are in no hurry much better.

Starting from the walk inside, I felt like Novella was a cute but fancy trendy restaurant that catered to both friends, family, and dates. They start with some focaccia bread which was fluffy and delicious- I'd recommend asking for some balsamic to add to the oil/pepper combo. For the mussels, it was similar to other mussel dishes I'd had before but no complaints- no extreme flavor and the bread was doused in butter and very filling. The gnocchi was chewy almost like a cheese ball which blew my mind!- and the whole dish tasted like a plate of FALL! Service was super speedy and kind, the spacing was maybe a little close to the table next to us so it was hard to hear at the table directly. Suggest calling for an early reservation as it closes at 9; Overall, would definitely recommend!

Novella is located in strip mall at Powell. The restaurant is new and has a very cozy atmosphere. We had an early reservation for a Saturday dinner and lucky for us cause the place was packed. Menu is very limited. They call it course menu but honestly very restrictive. They serve some very freshly made focaccia bread with side of olive oil, totally the best thing they do. We started with the Whipped Ricotta, it's ricotta on top of freshly made sourdough topped with candied nuts. It gives it nice sweet creamy taste. I do appreciate when a place has great service but there is slight awkwardness when your server stops by every few minutes and keeps asking if we need something, when we are actually working on our plates. It made us feel like he wanted us out of that place, could be cause none of us ordered alcoholic drinks( not every meal needs alcohol, sorry not sorry) I had the carbonara pasta, my friends had the daily special (eggplant parmigiana). Theirs was definitely better than mine. Carbonara was way to salty for my liking. It had bits of pancetta (salty in itself), they probably added some more to the pasta. Made it taste like drinking sea water. Would I go again-maybe or maybe not.We have so many better options in Dublin Columbus area, this place didn't strike a cord with me.

We found this place through Instagram, and just knew that we had to have it. So we set up a day for me and 7 other friends to come up here and try it out. Let me tell you, that there was no let down, this place was everything we hoped for. When going to restaurants as groups we like to order different things each and all put in the middle and share as a group. This way you get to taste several different dishes to get a better feel of the restaurant. Some of the items I had at the time are not on the menu anymore. However ill give my reviews on what we did have. Ricotta: 10/10: This started was amazing. It might have been the most visually appealing dish and one of the most memorable dishes at the same time. The ricotta honey and nut combination on top was magical. The ricotta itself was light and wonderful. The bread was soft and buttery, you could tell this bread was made at the restaurant. Perfect dish all around. Octopus Alla Plancha: 9/10: This was a really really great dish. But since Octopus is my favorite seafood I hold these dishes to a higher standard. But the Octopus was cooked perfectly. Nice char on the outside and super tender on the inside. The potatoes and sauce was a good complement to the Octopus. Plus the presentation was very nice. Only thing is, I wish the Octopus itself had a little more flavor. But other than that the dish was almost perfect. Novella Meatballs: 7/10: This is exactly what you would expect. Meatballs done right, cooked in a very good sauce, nice size and appearance. Only giving a 7 because this was like a standard dish that you could get mose places. Nothing really stood out to differentiate meatballs here from anyone else's. Chicken Parmesan: 9/10: We subbed the Arugula salad on the side for a side of bucatini. This was very good as well. Chicken was nice and crispy, with the right amount of cheese and sauce. It's hard to mess up a Chicken Parm dish, and they made it as good as you will ever get it. Pork Cheek Ravioli: 10/10: This one kind of surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to have such a deep flavor. When you first taste it the main thing that sticks out in your mouth is a strong mushroom flavor. Now if you love mushrooms like me it's perfect. But You do get the pork and everything as well. But the mushrooms to me were the star in this dish and I'm not mad about it. Pasta was perfectly cooked. Looked nice. Rigatoni: 10/10: This plate also had a deeper flavor then I thought it would. I was expecting more of a light red sauce, but there was way more depth. Almost reminded me of a bolognese type sauce. But there were many big chunks of short rib that we SUPER tender. Can't complain at all about anything here. Winter Panzanella: 10/10: This was my fav salad, which sadly isn't on the menu anymore. But it had everything. First off, Buratta is one of my favorite cheeses. And the way the creamy and cool burrata mixed with the dressing and the sweetness of the sweet potatoes was perfect. I gobbled this up. Classic Caesar: 9/10: This is what you want when you look for a caesar. Perfect amount of dressing to lettuce. Nice crunchy croutons and parmesan. Novella Insalata: 6/10: I guess it wasn't for me. Just a basic salad in my opinion. Service here was on point as well. Our server was very nice and attentive. She made sure to visit back often and check up on us. Also she was very knowledgeable about the menu and could answer any questions that the group might have had in detail. The environment was perfect as well. This would be a killer date spot, or you could pull up like we did with the people friends and family you love most and have a great dinner and dining experience. Id recommend this place to ANYBODY, especially if you are a foodie. I think Novella is up there with ANY of the top restaurants in the Columbus area. Basi Italia has always been my fav spot for Italian in Columbus by far, but Novella is giving it a run for its money, its very very good.

What an absolute dream of a restaurant! Got to come this past weekend with our friends and we had such a great evening enjoying great cocktails, wine and food. It was my first time out to Powell. This place can feel a bit far from downtown Columbus but it is sure worth the trip. We had a lot of appetizers to share... including the ricotta, octopus and meatballs. All 3 were incredible. For entrees, I ordered the chitarra and clams and got to try a bunch of other dishes as well. The clam pasta dish was so good and fresh tasting. All of their noodles are made fresh and it all tastes very authentically italian. The complimentary bread is so soft and fresh. Pasta prices are on the high side but absolutely warranted with being handmade. For drinks I had an espresso martini and the naked and famous (mezcal) cocktail. Also ordered a nice medium-bodied dry red wine (nero d'avola). Excellent service throughout our entire dinner & we were given great and thoughtful recommendations.

This is such a nice restaurant! Every bite is worth it. You gotta ask Makenzi to make you a drink. She is so sweet!

My husband and I came to Novella for the first time to try out some Italian food. We liked the restaurant philosophy of "less is more". The staff were very friendly! We got two appetizers and two different kinds of pasta. The meatball was good, but the sauce was a little more watery than I expected. Both mussels and squid ink pasta had very heavy seafood flavors. They were good, but just a little overpowering for me. Short rib rigatoni was really good. The meat was cooked perfectly and absorbed the sauce flavor well. The spring vegetables side dish was delicious. It was fresh and seasoned well!

Went back twice since my last review, both times I left feeling disappointed. Service: Both times were non-existence. I understand that the pandemic has made it really hard to hire waitstaff, but it would be great to have a little more attention. Felt like we were inconveniencing them whenever we asked for our water to be refilled. They were also extremely low on staff and they have their staff running all over the restaurant? Our server had table in our section, outside, by the door - he was everywhere and I honestly felt bad for him. Ricotta: The second time we had it, they skimmed out on the honey - it was not as astonishing as the first time, so I requested extra honey this last time just in case. And...they changed their recipe/ combination. It is now some kind of spicy honey, more like a chili oil than anything. Did not enjoy it. Mussels: Last time we had it, it was fine. The mussels were not the freshest, but understand that we are in the Midwest so I take every chance I get to order seafood. This time we had it it was mussels "toast", actually did not mind it as the mussels were quite fresh and the juice was nice and tasty for bread dipping. However, the portion size was definitely smaller and a lot of the mussels we got were empty shells. Not even like the mussels fell out of the shells, they were straight empty. The pastas: Rigatoni was great as usual. My friend got the eggplant parmesan and she really liked it. Good portion, but also really salty (I think most eggplant parm are so I never ordered it). The squid ink pasta (summer menu) was different than their previous preparation - this one was quite bland and overloaded with corn and breadcrumbs, not much crab meat in there. It was okay. Last time we ordered the Milanese - it was okay, a tad bit dry. This time I ordered the fish special which is a trout. Good portion and the fish was cooked really well; nicely seasoned and crispy skin. The summer squash "salsa" on the bottom complements the fish very well. Really enjoyed it. Since we don't live in Cbus, every meal counts whenever we visit. If I were local, I would prob go back because I did love it the first time I went. However, considering we have very limited meals every time we go to Cbus, I would likely go somewhere else next time.

I love Novella, I have been coming for several years and always love the food-service. Last Friday we came as the seafood stew was back on the menu..love this seafood ciopinno stew. Not this time.. smashed potatoes are now added which take over half the dish. The stew had 6 mussels and no other crustacean or fish... not good. Expensive for a non fish one crustacean dish. Very disappointing

The food was nothing short of fantastic: the meatballs were tender and flavorful (and HUGE), the artichoke crostini was fresh and light, the short rib rigatoni was straight out of an Italian grandmother's kitchen, the agnolotti was unlike anything I'd ever tasted, and the polenta was creamy and addictive. We will be back, for the amazing food and the wonderful service, along with the great location and easygoing ambience.

Went to Novella for the first time for Mother's Day. Won't be the last time. Absolutely the best Italian in the Columbus area. We have tried many, but these are the authentic taste we are looking for. Tried several dishes all were from the salumi plate to a great salad to our mains. We went with the chicken, really a great version of piccata, also had the carbonara as well as the cavatelli. All were amazing every single bite. Then the desert was olive cake and strawberry donuts. The cake was absolutely the star. Thanks to Austin our server for his help and helping us enjoy our eve even more.

Definitely lives up to the hype! We went in on a Saturday around 6. It was fairly busy but they were able to seat us right away. Service was awesome. Our server was super sweet and attentive. All of our food and drinks came out quickly. For food we tried the meatball appetizer which was AMAZING. Soooo tender and large portions. For our mains we got the short rib rigatoni and the pork shank. The pork shank was sooo yummy. The rigatoni was a great portion and super tender. Overall I'd like to come back since it was such a great dining experience. Very cozy and intimate which was nice.

Absolutely stellar, elevated Italian dining. The service was tremendous and the interior is gorgeous! I ordered the squid ink fettuccine and it was very flavorful. The espresso martini was also excellent and very balanced

First--the service was incredibly stellar and the space is gorgeous. We had the homemade bread (incredible!), salad and pastas. The bread and salad were enough to bring me back, so delicious! We had the chopped salad and split it (it was a nice size). I had the ricotta ravioli and my mom had the short rib ragu (she subbed her pasta for something different). The sauce on my ravioli was excellent and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. I really wanted the eggplant parm, but that is only offered as a Saturday special. I don't typically order pasta and if I return I wouldn't order either of the pasta dishes again. I would however go back and order that salad and bread! We received a complementary order of donuts for her birthday and they were hot and fresh! Definitely a fan!

My husband and I were so excited to try Novella Osteria and it did not disappoint! The meatballs were a 20/10. Mouthwatering deliciousness. I was even doing a happy dance with ever bite. My husband enjoyed the squid ink pasta and I enjoyed the carbonara. Aperol spritz yes please!

We have an incredible new Italian place in Powell!!! We came for drinks and appetizers and had the Chef's Salami Board with olives and cheese. A perfect pairing with drinks. We had the "Toronto" (similar to an Old Fashion) and the Limoncello. The vibe was upbeat and the bartenders were friendly, helpful, and even have a few tricks up their sleeves. We are so happy to have a new spot! (Don't Miss our on the doughnuts.... AMAZING)

All of the food was super amazing and staff was super nice! Got the seafood pasta and pasta carbonara! And get the doughnuts!!! Espresso caramel sauce is a 10/10

My friends & I dined last night. My eyes were set on the lobster dish which was the special. It was sold out! My second choice was the squid ink seafood pasta! Amazing! The bread was amazing! The spirits were divine!! The ambiance was nice. The restaurant was packed! Highly recommended!

Service was great and loved the vibe. Highlights were the bread with oil, the glassware and my husband's cocktail the Toronto. Everything else was okay. I think we will head back for drinks and apps and give it another go. Glad it's in the neighborhood!

Just go to the damn restaurant. Chef driven, homemade pasta, with local ingredients. Meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, and short rib rigatoni are best I've had outside of Carbone in NYC and Sotto in Cinci for a red sauce driven joint. My wife went there the other night and said the chicken parm may of been the best she has ever had. Fair prices, great service by Rebecca, make your reservations sooner than later.

We finally checked this place out last night for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We went with friends who were also celebrating their anniversary! Service was great. We sat at a round table away from everyone so it wasn't too loud, which I appreciate. Hubs and I shared the Caesar salad and meatball appetizer. The Caesar was small, but tasted good! The meatballs tasted good, but we thought they were a little "loose" for our preference. I had the pork cheek ravioli and hubs had the rigatoni. Both were delicious!! My ravioli were addicting. I could have eaten 100. Overall, we were very happy with our dinner and glad we checked this place out!

This is a very over-priced restaurant. It's not a bad restaurant, but it is very over priced. 4 little squares of focaccia bread with olive oil is 8 dollars. Rigatoni with ragu is $31. We spent over $100 for 2 people and were only there for about 45 minutes. The food isn't bad, but I've had better in central Ohio. Over rated and over priced. Good service, nice atmosphere. A little pretentious and way too expensive for what you get.
